Quote Gt4Genius @Sorry Zed but I'm sure you would prefer to win outright instead.

Absolutely!!!!!!!!!! You have missed a few weeks so it's not quite a true indication of my laps compared to everyone, but there is some extra incentive for the final podium position.

Fluffball and Crooky need to be swapped.

Ok, I should be a bit more competitive this week, Nurburgring is a decent track.

Nurburgring - BMW Sauber

1:27.036, 28.506/37.001/21.529, Shaggy Alonso

I must be doing something wrong.

Best time so far is:

1.29.009, 29.150/37.632/22.227.

Hmmm

Whats your basic setup and we might be able to find small flaws with it, because your sectors seem fairly even.

And ofcourse welcome, I hope you stick around for a few weeks. 👍

Just set a time at Nurby, probably can go another 1 second faster or less with no errors, but that's it for me.

Set up = Default
Tyres = Soft

1:25.954, 28.485/36.404/21.065, fishfash

:)

Dang that's fast. I am using 40% front wing and 45% rear.

Best so far is a 1:28.909. Forgot the to write the sector times.

Any tips on sector 1 and 2? My sector 3 time I know is close to 21. But my 1 time I can't break 29 and sector 2 i think I am closer to 38.

Top speed is important for sector 1, and good acceleration is important for sector 2, but I think the main problem with them is that they are kind of tricky. There is that tight uphill section at the end of sector 1 and then that fast left right chicane at the start of sector 2 that really dictate how well you will do on those sectors, as well as probably the most awkard hairpin IMO in the whole season at the bottom of the hill, the wrong line into that can cost you easily 1 whole second.

Well I've just brought it down to:

1.28.610, 29.100/37.399/22.111.

That was using Sumpington's 40% front 45% rear.
Soft tyres.

I will stick around as well for sure. :)

Edit: 1.28.129, 28.950/37.433/21.746

Edit 2: 1.28.062, 28.934/37.333/21.795

I see you had to get yourself another copy Fishfash %$$%*. Don't know how you do it on a default setup, hang on don't know how you do it fullstop!!!!!!!!!!!!

The default setup was way to twitchy for me ,the back wouldn't follow the front just about anywhere!!!!!!!!

I'm in the mid to high 27's, but will work on a setup to suit my style or lack of.

Good to see more drivers this week already, makes for a worthy comp.

Oh forgot to add ......I think the exit line of turn 3 and the entry line of 4, is a large part of the sector 1 time ,as it is the slowest part.

Throttle conrtol will improve sector 2 times .

IT"S ALL EASIER SAID THAN DONE .........ggggggggrrrrrrrrrr

Yeah, he uses manual, thats the only reason anyone can think about and some say he has only ever consumed petrol!!! :dopey: Yep he's our own Stig.
Your just lucky you didnt have to watch him disappear in all the championship races we had awhile ago.

It is great to see more drivers, it means we dont have to consider the six position points system anymore, could this week be the first week we have a non-points scorer? If that does happen and the person is new, seeing as though I've promised bonus points for the first round I will have to give them 2 points.

Edit: I dont like that tight bit of sector 1 either, it can make such a huge difference to your lap time, which is why I think although setups will of course be important a perfect lap could be more difficult to acheive.

First post updated.

About the points ;Fair enough.

I also use manual .........mmmmmmmmm good thing I don't use auto .LOL
Does Fishfash like to wear white? Have you seen him?.....lololololol

Yeah turn 3 and 4 back up the hill are a big pain for me. A few laps last night and I was able to get a good time through there, but then I would miss another part of the lap. :ouch:

The hairpin you mean the dunlop kurve right? Right before the Schumi Esses? I have been having problems with that too. I enter wide but never seem to be able to get fully on the throttle soon enough.

Yea dunlop thats what its called.
I changed my setup a little, added a bit of wing, lifted the car to be able to take more kerb in the last chicane, and I managed:
1.26.976, 28.666/36.921/21.389, GT4genius

LOL guys, I remember the Championship race in Melbourne, GT4 genius, you was all over me like a bad rash

Oh and Zed how did you know my copy of F1 was knackered ? I was without it for a week and then decided to buy another, was having severe withdrawal symptoms

Almost everyone else is putting up times, so I may as well too.

Nurburgring BMW Sauber

1.27.415 28.415/37.317/21.613

Another 1/2 a second is there, with a lap put together.

:grumpy:I don't like that final chicane......... I tell yer:ouch:

Lift the car and soften the suspension. It worked well for me.

Yes I followed that tip but still not happy.

Judging by that, I'm loosing time in the first sector.

The 1st sector time for me is all about the turn3-4 .I've had a 28.1 and a 37.0 in the same lap and blew the final chicane GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRR:grumpy:

Well, eh........ 💡 stop taking so much kerb!! :D

I'm hoping to post a low 26. I think I have the setup for that now at least. It'll be just a matter of finding the time to put in the tens of laps.

Despite what you think about the final chicane, you're actually losing most time in the middle sector. You need to be getting that under 37.0.:)

New fastest time, and I reckon I could trouble fishfash if I get a bit more free time:

1.26.076, 28.366/36.521/21.189, GT4genius

Did another lap and slight improvement but I think Alireza and Shaggy will be in the low 1:24's

1:25.655, 28.037/36.653/20.966, fishfash

EDIT:- Looks like I will have to start tinkering with the settings, as there is only another half a second faster I can go.

Nooooo, and I thought I was going to catch you :(. Stay well away from the settings, you're too fast already!
