Thanks gt4 đź‘Ť, upping the ride height and dropping the camber did help for s2. Also dropping the wing even more seemed to help for s1. So I'm fairly happy with the full second reduction. May try to run more laps later, but not likely.

Glad to help. Great to hear my theories actually work! :dopey: And a whole second is a lot to move, another 1 and you will be worrying me. :sly:
Still worried about what Alireza has to post. :nervous:

Also does anyone know what car you win for wining your first race? And what car you win for wining a full season?
The first will be used for the mid competition special week event, and the latter will be used for the grand finale so there is no rush on anyone other then to make sure that they have Jerez unlocked by achieving a gold time on all tracks in the Time Trial mode.
Is this ok with everyone or do any of you have any recommendations?

Not sure G, but can I just say that just about every classic car in the game is completely undrivable apart from the FW-18 which is the last car you unlock. I'm not really looking forward to driving them very much. I take it you're gonna be repeating some of the manufacturers throughout the season, as theres more races than teams obviously?

Ofcourse, I'll repeat a few of the cars. The idea of using the old cars is just for a bit of extra fun. It may even give the F1CE noobs a chance to do really well in at least one week. However this idea will only go ahead with complete support of all involved, if anyone doesnt want to do this it wont go ahead. I'll just go through the tracks, try and keep it as close to this years season as possible and try and use cars with some recent significants.

After quite a long session last night, I finnaly got a half decent time.
Im running quite a low downforce setting, so my middle sector is pretty slow. I might give it one last go before the deadline.

Hey Guys hope you all enjoyed your weekend.đź‘Ť Big weekend in sport for us here,Moto GPand Rugby League Grandfinal, also 1000km race at Bathurst next weekend, with V8 Supercars. Makes it hard to get the time to practice. I got some in though and pretty happy although there is still more left ,I'm running out of time ,it's late.

Bahrain-Williams

I know ......I blew the 1st sector:dunce:

sorry all, Im in Dubai, managed 10 laps in the morning at 6:30 am befre I left,

got it down to a 1:31.194 25.367/40.300/25.527 Alireza Sabbagh

It should be a 25.1/40.3/25.1 for a 1:30.6 but all sectors never went together.
Best Luck to all, the best ill be is third !!!!

Alireza

Hi All,

Here is my time. I adjusted the front/rear wing to low and tyres to soft, and everything else with default settings.

There is around another 0.5 second in there, but that's it for me. :dopey:

1:29.938, 25.032/39.757/25.149, fishfash

Whooooo, I hope I've done enough :)

1:30.594, 25.267/40.040/25.287, Shaggy Alonso

Unlucky to Alireza, probably the fastest guy around, just circumstances have stopped him sometimes.

Here is a pic.

Why have you only competed in Monaco before this? You clearly own all of us. Seriously, I think if I was locked in a prison cell with just a PS3 and F1 Championship Edition for the rest of my life, I wouldn't ever get close to that time :indiff:

Then again, maybe if I was given a steering wheel and could be arsed figuring out how to drive properly with manual gears, hmmm.......

You are only half a second off my pace and with manual gears you can be a second quicker. There is no fun playing racing games with Auto gears, it really does defeat the object, but each to their own.

I find the time trials boring, just going round and round trying to beat my own time. If we could share ghost car's then that would add to the enjoyment. But online is where all the fun is, it adds a new dimension to the game đź‘Ť

Another thing is that I can't get my head around setting the car up, really don't have the time to fiddle around, just rather spend the time playing the game. That is why online works well, everyone has the same car and no messing around with settings.

Well done Fishfash fine lapping once again, thanks for dropping again and showing us how it's done.Although Alireza didn't get to show his true colours this week, and Shaggy your time is well up there.
Fishfash@ I read elswhere(I think) you had a G25, is there really a lot time in that wheel? I have a DFP and I'm very happy with it but............

Damn! I thought I was going to do well this week. Anyway next race will be in Japan, and we'll use the Japanesse Super Aguri for it. I'll update everything within the next few days. I would now but I dont have my own broadband, I only have it a few days and it's stopped working!

I know excuses excuses.

Hi There,

I have the DFGT (GT5 Wheel). I used to have a DFP and I think the DFP is quicker as it locks at 180 Degrees where as my one doesn't. I am not sure how quick the G25 is but I think Alireza has one.

Anyway's the controller is quicker than all the wheels :dopey:

OK...I'm posting my times now as i won't be able to go online until Monday next week.

Had a quick go last night and here it is;

Super Aguri,Suzuka

1:37.641 , 33.947/44.173/19.521

Ok, I'm sure you mean you wont be able to get in GTP until Monday, but just incase there is any confusion. The times you post can be set in either Time Trial mode or Grand Prix mode, your not allowed set times in the online mode. đź‘Ť

GT4 Genius,

Sorry for the confusion...I set my times on Grand Prix mode...By "Online" i meant that as yet i have no internet at home so i can only post my times whilst at work and i've got a few days off :ill::)

First go at Suzuka, finding it a little difficult to get a comfortable setup. So this is my initial attempt.
SUZUKA-SUPER AGURI

1.36.371 33.903/43.638/18.830 zed300

Should be well into the low to mid 35's I would imagine.........Oh except for F1CE Lord and Master :bowdown:Fishfash who will be .5-1 sec ahead of that, if he chooses to grace our humble selves, with his presence.........LOL LOL:sly:

LOL M8, I am not that good, there are loads of people out there who put me to shame, but hey thanks :)

Oh my copy of F1CE stopped working yesterday, just as well I suppose I can play something else for a change :dopey:

fantastic lap fishfash in Bahrain,

unbelievable that you dont tweak setups !!! (not even camber ?????? :embarrassed:)

ok , im back today from dubai,
I have done 1:34.877 32.544/43.123/19.210

im sure it wont be the best but im just too tired !!!!

My time:

Suzuka - Super Aguri

1:34.452, 32.524/43.398/18.530

Looks like being a poor turn out this week :indiff:

It is a bit. Good lap time though. I didnt get much of a go at it, I set a 1.36.171 on Friday with very little practice. Hopefully we get a little more people this week when we ride the Red Bull round the outskirts of Shanghai.

I'll update all very soon. đź‘Ť

Can you share the setup Shaggy, because that is a good time and Suzuka is notorious for the difficulty of setting up the car. đź‘Ť

It's a long time i touched this game. Might gonna try this thing. Good seeing u again genius:)

Good to hear from you. I havent been able to sign into the PSN since I moved to college so I havent been able to race you. It'd be great if you could take part in this, the numbers were very low last week, after a good week in Bahrain.

And all is up to date again, I didnt enter my time as it was posted after the deadline. :indiff: Congratulations to Shaggy again.

Well done Shaggy, you pieced together a great lap.If you decide to share your setup, I will be interested to try it.I had a bit of trouble getting stability from both ends of the car at once. The front and rear just never seemed to give me any confidence,if I got the 1st sector quick(only high 32s) the other two sectors didn't give me any rear grip and visa-versa.Only had about 30-40 laps but changed setup 5-6 times, maybe needed more R&D.Well done once again.

As I recall Shanghai is a little like Sepang in corner types.I hope to be competeive here so a little more R&D this week and we shall see.

Seems like a track that suits me,I guess I'll find out on Sunday.I will do some more laps later in the week.
Here's a time on the board anyway.

Shanghai Red Bull

Hey Shaggy,

what happened to the japanese setup, we were together on the first 2 sectors,
I lose on the third but im sure that it basically driving more than setup, although from comparing notes, u generally move towards low downforce setup and i like 5-10 degrees more wing.

But rest assured ill do at least 200 laps for Shanghai these week as my schedule is much easier.

I want 31 or even 30 for shanghai !!!
Best Regards
Alireza

:scared::nervous:, the most I've done for any of these is between 10 and 20! Better get practicing.

Also unless anyone wishes otherwise we wont be using the older cars in this, and Jerez will be the last race in the competition.

Also if there is less then 7 people in this weeks race, I'll be changing to the old points system going up to 6th place.
