Ok everything is up to date, at last.

And yeah, I seen I got division 3 Zed, I'm happy enough, still wishing for private lobbies. Wanted to do some laps this evening but this dam download for life with PS has taken 2 hours. :crazy:

Looks like I need to knock off more wing to keep my speed up on the straights.

Going on for a few laps now. I should have time tomorrow evening to do a few again but I am doubtful I'll have any internet to post them with. I will try but if I'm not around just take it for granted that the closing date stands and this week ended, then I will think of someway to tell you what track and car is next. In the worst case it'll be Tuesday or Wednesday when I appear again, then everything should be hassle free from there.

Edit: With a desperate setup, and a very tired head behind the wheel I got a 1.12.783 :dopey:. I know terrible, I will try harder and try and post a better time.

Just a suggestion Genius, I don't know what order you're doing the circuits in but you could have it so that they coincide with the race going on in real life. So in 3 weeks time you could do Suzuka, Shanghai the next week, then two weeks after have Interlagos and you could use the rest of the circuits in the weeks between and after. I just think it will generate more interest in Shanghai, Suzuka and Interlagos if they coincide with the 3 respective GP's.

Anyway, I doubt this is enough to beat Alireza but who knows, I might improve before the deadline:

It is good enough, for the simple reason I didnt take a pic of my best lap , ( I did it on THursday and as I had time and knew that I could go quicker I didnt take a snap), Im not at home till tuesday so thats the bummer, (my fault anyway)

The laptime was 1:09:787, 20.111/22.844/26.832 But GT4 kind dont acknowledge it in the game I was just stating what was possible.

For the laptime I can Prove Its 1:10:421 20.410/23.004/27.007 !!!!!!

So well done shaggy.
Also for the wheel users , I tried lowering the anti roll to the minimum and got excellent results for for riding curbs (also for Monza where i dipped into the 1:18s !!!!!)

Lets compare notes, the bad thing about F1ce is the setup we use for driving the fast laps is really really far from the realities !!!!

A 1:09 in a Toro Rosso is an absolute barnstormer of a lap.

Hehe, I actually set a lap a tenth slower but which had 2 fastest sectors I think. Whereas my fastest lap is good alround but just really fast 1st sector. I'd actually have got more points if I posted a slower time. What a dilema:indiff:

1:10.404, 20.490/1:22.988/26.926, Shaggy Alonso

EDIT, I'm talking rubbish. Scrub that time please Genius and just use my 1:10.3. Congrats to Zed300, fastest 2nd sector! 👍 :)

Well done Shaggy, pity for Alireza,I like to see the best times possible.

I wasn't able to connect close to my best splits together,this would have given me high 9, had trouble being consistant in the final chicane,either a good fast line, or going fast enough on a good line, did it a dozen times or so but not with a good enough sector 1-2 was in the 26.6**.
Not to worry great effort from both of you once again!!!!!!

Hey all, GT4 is out for a few days and requested I post the next race setup so everyone will know and has a chance to get started if they like. Once he gets back he will update the results and leader boards.

Cool, another one of my favorite tracks. I hardly ever drive with a Midland, but I know the Toro Rosso is even a notch above it, so it'll be hard to know what the fastest lap will be. Maybe a 1:15 of some sort?

Nice use of pink in that post there btw.

I doubt I can personally improve on that. Maybe a tenth or two in it but not much more, unless i've gone the complete wrong way on set up.

Anyway thanks a lot icelt for letting everyone know what was going on.👍 I'll update everything a bit later. Dont have the PS3 until Sunday night though :ouch: hopefully I'll put in a few laps then, but after this week everything will be back to normal, and instead of being a good few tenths slower I'll only be a couple of tenths slower! :dopey:

Haha honestly i'm not, I think I can improve my time but not by much more than that. You are using a Midland right? Cause I dunno where I'm losing all the time for it. I don't see how a 1:14.6 is possible with a Midland, but if anyone can do it you can 👍

Also make sure you all have everything unlocked in the game, as there may be a few surprises at certain points in the game.

I hope to be back on form for week 9 at the latest, hopefully I'll put in a competitive time Sunday evening though for this. Shaggy your not getting 2nd that easily!

Oooh, I predict a Williams FW 18 at Jerez. I take it you just need all the cars and Jerez unlocked for this?

By the way there's still a few tracks to come where I don't anticipate being anywhere near the leader's pace; Bahrain, Shanghai, Istanbul and particularly Interlagos I'm rubbish at. I'd expect to do decently everywhere else but yeah 2nd place is far from sewn up.

Hardly like we would need it, but there are helmets and overalls to unlock which I still haven't. I don't know how to either.

I mean to say Genius, yknow the way with the world championship you and Ardius had, he had created a wikipedia style table for all the results? Is there an easy way of making one of those for this?

Eh, I'd love to do some sort of nice design and have the table in it and links to each week. But unless someone wants to write up the idiots guide to computing I doubt I'll be able to do anything great. :dunce:

Although I'll have a look around and see what I could manage. Is there a way I could create something in computer programs on my computer and then upload it to the first post? I'll try something this week, seeing as though I have no PS3 to keep me busy! Lots of help is not just appreciated, its essential! :dunce:
 
Hey guys, haven't been here much all week.I've been side-tracked by stage-1of the GTP_qualifier(sorry event) so I haven't even opened the game case for hockenhiem event try an get some in tonight.

To unlock Jerez, I think you have to get gold in all the time trials. That shouldn't be too difficult for you. And to get all the extra cars you have to win a race, win a season and a few other things that I'm not sure of yet. No need to panic yet it wont be until week 11 or so. I plan on doing all this unlocking next week so I will keep you all informed as I go.

Well it depends how long you chose. I was thinking of using hard mode with 20% race distance, in the Reno or something so it shouldn't be too difficult or take too long.

@Alireza, it will probably be Monday or Tuesday so I let you know then. 👍

Haven't you got it all unlocked already sure?

I'm doing a world championship with Rosberg in the Williams at the minute to see if I can actually win it. No reloads either, if I crash I crash, if I'm taken out I'm taken out. Should be a real challenge, I've won the first two rounds so far, Bahrain was a piece of piss, it always is but Malaysia was nerve racking, it started raining with 9 laps to go, I pitted with 6 to go for intermediates with an 8 second lead to Schumacher who caught me up, but I just held him off at the final corner, phew! Considering it was Malaysia, a track where it's really easy to spin and it was raining, I was quite proud to have done this in a Williams.

Anyway, just set a slightly faster Hockenheim time but I'm still unable to live with Alireza, he's just too fast in sectors 1 and 3.

well shaggy, this is a friendly contest not a hostile one so ill give u the secret of the lap I set : for turn 1 double dab the brake pedal while still on full throttle. If you have enough wing itll work like a gem !!
Try it out and tell me what you think.
