F1CE Hot Lap Series- (Closed)

Man I am having a heck of a time finding a balanced setup. If I setup for speed I get OK S1 and S3 times but then S2 suffers. best time so far has been my 'grip' setup. Tad shorter gearing from 'balanced' and 47% wing.

1:12.303 17.778/36.796/17.729 Sumpington

Anyone have any tips for turn 1/2, I feel like i am losing at least .5 there. Also anything for turn 7? I seem to either brake to early and coast thru or brake late and go wide into 8. :ouch:

I have returned, the last week and' is hard for me :ouch:

I have made few turns ,but you are incredibly fast...(and me incredibly slow...:crazy:)

my time:
pino-r :1.16'221 /S1:18.470/S2:36.680/S3: 10.071 :crazy:

some suggestion to go more' fast..? :)

Why your final time so early? You don't have to answer that !! Other commitments I guess.

I had a go with default /soft tyres really stable but I couldn't manage anthing near an 11.***:grumpy:

I cheated this time, default set up with soft tyres BUT I messed around with the front and rear wing. Spending more time on GT5P now, just upgraded to a G25 👍 Top wheel with GT5P, great combination :)
 
Ha ha. Because of newcomers I'm still in the middle of the scoreboard :)

Maybe I should pull off a weekly challenge again just to defend this position.
 
Right I know I haven't been posting as much this week as last, but I've been busier this week. So now I have a few hours today to really attack fishfash's time, although I doubt I'll get near it. Also I doubt I'll be back with my PS3 before 9 on Sunday so I guess what ever I post today will be it.
Not a big fan of this track, it hates my normal setups! :embarrassed: So I'll have to try something different.

Edit: Last weekend the time here and in many other countries reverted to 'winter time' so I have changed the first post to show just GMT rather than GMT+1. I think its right, I'm just saying that if you notice it dont worry about it all is the same I just dont want confusion over time zones, theres way too much of that already!

Fishfash@ I am jealous !!I have wanted a G25 for about a year now.LOL Glad to hear good reveiws of it :) I am pleased( but in two minds)that you weren't just using default settings ,although it's not much different.....great laps
 
Anyone got any ideas on how not to get horribly large amounts of tail slide through turn 1. I cant go near the apex or I'll struggle to keep the car pointing in the right direction. I tried lowering camber and anti-roll but it hasn't done enough, although it did help a bit.


Edit: The problems not too bad anymore, I got a:

Yeah thanks :) G25 is a great wheel but the DFP is an even better wheel for F1CE. It's smaller, has better FF and locks at 180 Degress 👍

Oh, Alireza and Shaggy will be beating my time, I maybe able to squeeze a podium out of this :nervous:

Yeah, I'll definitely not trouble you this week. Your middle sector is just insane! My best, and probably will be my final time:

I am in the 1:09s but still a long way to go before I get to fishfash !!!

What a tough track to find a good setup!!! Very fast sector 3 is where I'm losing the most time.

1.10.749 17.613 /35.856 /17.280 zed300

I will be able to improve on that as my 1st sector times are 0.5 faster on average. Best sectors say another 1.0 sec faster but as usual doing that is difficult.

Thanks for the comments but I am sure you can get into the 1:08's :crazy:

Oh to get FF on the G25 you need to connect your PS3 to the internet and when you launch F1CE it will prompt you for an F1CE update. I am sure you can do this without connecting to the PSN 👍

To update any PS game I'm almost sure that you need to connect to the PSN, much to my annoyance. :grumpy:

fishfash did a great lap, I couldnt beat him if hadeven tried to kill myself but its all the senna S fault , my setups give me way too much ovesteer

Congratulations fishfash. Back to wining ways! I'll update all tomorrow, but I think I have no choice really, considering the day it is, to announce that this weeks competition will be held in Silverstone with the Mclaren Mercedes.

Very apt timing for this weeks challenge GT4:tup:


Very tricky track,hard to understand the requirements.Ended up with 15 wing, 0 front suspension and 5 rear,almost lowest front anti-roll,a little higher rear, up the ride height to 22 to allow for body roll,the weight transfer creates grip and 60% TC for acceleration brakes 60/40.

I really am amazed that You(Fishfash) can do the times with such little adjustment to default settinngs, you must have great skill as a driver, and be very confident to push a car that hard. Hats off to you ,hope to see you online in GT5P sometime.(As with all of you)

I have everything updated, with a bit of a struggle. All the symbols and words arranging the colour font size and positioning all went a bit crazy for some reason, but I think everything is back to normal again. Please check for mistakes although I think it is ok this week. 👍
 
Urgh, 3rd, 4th then 5th isn't so great these past three weeks, I should be better at Silverstone, then again I said that about Nurburgring.
