As long as you have PM'ed the person also I vote you move to the next in line. Conscious that the spam filter may grab any BCC or group mailing.

I just dug through all my old PMs and it would seem that he gave the wrong name on the sign up sheet. (But the email should still be correct) Good point on the spam filter, just PM'ed the correct username. So @cantudrummer get it in gear buddy! I'll give you a couple days and then your spot goes to the next guy.

I'm not sure what number I am on the list but for sure I'm on there but haven't received any emails yet. I am ready to send payment just need a paypal address I suppose. I'm still ready to roll email must have went to spam not sure. Also have you come up with a comprehensive list on the items we must have or that you prefer to have for this mod?

Please let me know where to send payment and how much and it a done. Thanks EKretz and can't wait to feel the wheel hopefully soon with more POWER!

On a side note I have recently developed a new problem with my Elite. It is extremely coggy and low on FFB. Only coggy when wheel is on and active in-game. Any ideas on how to diagnose this problem? Also do you think that the new motors will cure this? I realize it's probably hard to say but I just wondering if the Buhler mod will work if my wheel is in this state...
Thanks in advance

Ekretz: Here is an odd one if you dont mind thinking about it for a moment. You might remember I posted about my Gt2 cogging. I am really scratching my head on this one. I tried the wheel again. Reflashed the firmware and the thing is working perfectly. I don't understand how it could have been cogging (which was obviously the motor and even while in a power off state) and now work perfectly. It would feel coggy for about 30 seconds after power off and then smooth out !

Even before I reflashed I tried it on GT6 and it was doing ok which was what lead me to reflash since the cogging was happening playing Forza. But again, it was cogging while off when you turned the wheel and you could feel that magnetic feel in the cogging if you catch my drift. Could a corrupt firmware cause the wheel to hang on to a little power even after off ? Makes no sense I know but neither does the issue itself.

Yeah, if it's doing it with the power off maybe you have a worn belt or worn pulley(s). I can't think of anything else that would have the same symptoms with both power on and power off.

I could tell the cogging was magnetic in feel. If the teeth were the cause it would have felt very different and probably made a friction noise of some kind. Who knows ? Still working after a good Gt6 and Forza horizon rally testing on 756. So odd indeed. I really wish there was a firmware editor available. If only 756 had the feel of 681 in xbox mode. 756 in xbox mode has a heavy wheel and the DRI setting does very little to help. PC and Ps3 modes feels as they always have with PCars, Assetto and Gt6 accept Gt6 FF improved on 1.09.

Question about the Elite, starting tonight, when I press the paddles for shifting, ie button 5 and 6, either paddles also activate button 2. button 2 only activate button 2. So for example if button 2 is horn, every time I shift it activate the horn but it also shift. So if do not assign anything to button 2, no harm done.
Any idea and possible remedy?

I have had similar things happen in the past on my CSW and reflashing the firmware fixed it.

Isn't this the ACL feature mainly for Forza?

ACL (default = OFF)
This "Auto CLutch" function has been created especially for Forza Motorsport 3/4 and may also be used all other games which allow a button to be used as clutch. When you enable ACL the wheel will automatically "press" the A button when you press the shifter paddle buttons. If you set the clutch to the A button (= standard in Forza) in the game you can use manual clutch and avoid the slower sequential shifting without clutch. The wheel will automatically use the clutch for you in order to make your shifting operations faster.

Disable ACL should indeed solve the problem, i had a similar issue with my old Elite

I am now curious if ACL was set to on or off. Cote? BTW, CSW does not have this setting, and the same thing still happened to me. Flashing the firmware is the only fix for CSW, AFAIK.

I have sent another email out to the next person on the list. This does not bode well for the GP, I must say. 3 guys out of the first 5 have either asked to be bumped to maybe get in later or taken off completely, or not responded at all.

What is the cost without a group buy? Is it outrageous?

Is the motor inside the T500 much larger? Why doesn't it have the same failures? Always curious about that.

I hope you guys can get what you need.

why not send the email out to everyone on the list and then the first five to respond will go in for the test batch?

I wanted to give the first opportunity to the earliest fellows to sign up, that's all. Looks like we will be ready to order tomorrow. The rest we will probably follow your suggestion on and then I will fill the orders in the order that people pay. That way if anybody drags their feet it will be nobody's fault but their own if they don't get their parts for a while.

You need to sign up if you want to get on the list. If you aren't on the list you won't get any motors - I'm not ordering any that aren't spoken for with the way people are backing out. After the first five I will be placing an order for the rest on the list after payments are made to me.

Payment won't be a problem, I'm just new to all this and stumbled upon this thread while researching the loss of ffb on my CSW base.

If anyone would be kind enough to post a link to the list. Very much appreciated

Now me personally have been "out" for a few weeks not feeling good but I´m getting better and will soon start to do longer periods of racing with my CSW that have eKretz mod in it, I have only tried it out before that basically and what I can say is this, those Buhlers are very powerful! When you look at them or take them in your hand you can just instantly tell these motors will NOT break down like the cheapo stock Fanatec motors, for example I take a car analogy:

Have you driven or at least taken a ride in a higher end model from Mercedes, if so have you noticed details like for example when you shut the door and it feels so sturdy and fit is amazing, smell, touch, looks, sounds all senses are just overloaded top notch German quality it just feels different compared to for example slamming the paper doors of a Fiat or whatever.

That is how the Buhlers feel compared to stock Fanabuchis, I truly is like a Merc SL500 vs old rusty Fiat Uno.

Yes it will hurt a bit when paying if you like me are quite poor but it is a one time payment and don´t need to mess around with the wheel ever again like shipping back and forward to Fanatech or being nervous over Fanabuchis breaking down or needing 5 min off for cooling all the time, so if you can save up/afford it I truly recommend this mod and the peace of mind that comes with it is amazing imho. Although remember that you cannot just buy motors and mount them directly, for that you need the full kit (talk to eKretz). I can only speak for the full kit ready to be mounted in wheel and that was fantastic, so easy to mount and can be done real fast no hassles.

Or I can do it for you if you send your wheel.

Hey bud, PM me your address, I want the d
Yes, it will cost a bit more if I need to do all the disassembly/assembly but you will also save a little since I can mod your stock parts (motor mount/pulleys) rather than providing new ones. I'll send you a PM after the group buy is under way. I might recommend you update your PCB to the newest one ($50 from Fanatec) but that's up to you.

OK E, I've finally decided to just send you the wheel so you can do your wizardry hehe. I have a couple of questions.

1. Should I just send you my beta CSW? Or should I buy a brand new CSW and send that?

2. If I send the beta, is there anything I'll be losing out on compared to new?

Please let me know. Also, I dont care about saving for the GB, I would like the wheel back as soon as possible, so I'm fine paying for new Bueler motors. :)

Please PM me with total cost, your shipping address, and what I'll need to do on my end if anything, once I have it back.

Thanks

Oh forgot, I'm going to put the air compressor in the room next door, so I need 12 foot air hose, is this possible? What is the longest run possible? I'd just like to mount my wheel and have all the other stuff pass through a hole in the wall to reduce noise.

Thanks

You can easily make 12 ft. The longest run would depends on the pressure/volume drop due to the hose length. I'm guessing it would be quite long. If someone needs to do a very long run I'll calculate it out but otherwise I think everybody's pretty safe. I would estimate that it would take at least 25' to have much effect. PM'ing you re: the other stuff.

Thank you a lot, I know what you are talking about, its quality. Its a shame that today, even when you pay premium money you have to deal with stuff like this.

Stronger feedback makes the car much easier to control since its pretty obvious when you drive over the grip. Can't wait for this upgrade, I'll take whatever is needed to accommodate these bigger motors.

Many thanks to all and hope to see you on the track soon
