If I already have a load cell pedal for my CSL elite PS4 wheelbase, would that pedal work with the new csl dd?

I imagine it would, the CD PRO DD wheelbase has the little RJ45 plug in the back to accept the connection.
Judging from the photos, it has the same four RJ45 plugs as the CSL Elite - Shifter1/2, Pedals, Handbrake, so as Masterbrewww says, they should indeed work just fine.

I like that they're also positioned away from the USB and power connectors on this new base. On my wheel stand, I can't plug in that big ol' straight USB type B connector, and with the power and handbrake connectors flanking it either side, I can't use a right-angle USB plug either. I had to Frankenstein myself a sort of 45° upwards cable. Won't be an issue with the new base. The fun of unforeseen complications!

The Gran Turismo DD Pro Wheel Base is compatible with the entire Fanatec ecosystem, including:

All Fanatec Pedals
(adapter cables might be required on pedals without RJ12 connection)

Hi everyone I'm new here, i was wondering if i could use my csl elite v2 wheel on the fanatec csl dd pro or if i really need to buy another wheel for it
Anyone know how far goes the compatibility? It says all wheels are compatible but doesn't mention the csl elite wheel.

Thanks

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Fanatec Gran Turismo DD Pro Express Version Now Available to Order

If you want to get your hands on the official wheel of Gran Turismo 7 before the game launches on March 4, 2022, now’s your chance. Fanatec has started listing the “express version” of its new Gran Turismo DD Pro wheel on its website for customers to order today...

I've wanted a Playstation compatible CSL DD for so long, but I can't bring myself to buy one with all the extras (pedals, wheel) I don't want or need. 😭

Went with the express the version after February estimated date moved to March. In this day and age, you don't know if you will live to March so best to get it early as possible. I am just curious to see how it is so probably bit overkill and a waste on me to have such a wheel but should be fun for a few moments at least.

I got warehouse processing email on the 7th for DD Pro Express and Boost Kit. Today, I got UPS import charges are due with estimated delivery Tuesday 14th. Never used anything from Fanatec before so will be interesting to see how it feels, if you can feel the limit of the car well or not.

Hopefully the pedals don't have the same deadzone as Thrustmaster ones and are more responsive like Logitech. If only it was possible to get a load cell kit earlier, seems like I will have to wait until March. Curious to see how they respond as only had potentiometer pedals before.

Pretty much skipped majority of PS4 generation without a wheel so will be good to see how things have progressed on PS5 and if it is as good as PC for feedback now. If this is really good then maybe can challenge for a GT world record. :D

Hi Saidur_Ali I remember you from the GT6 Time Trials days and they were good times we had, and I hope GT7 is the same as GT6 days.
I was only going to buy the DD standalone wheelbase, but I ended up buying the DD Pro Express and Boost Kit yesterday. I already have a CLS Elite wheel with V3 pedals for a while now and they are pretty good stuff.
Why I went to buy the DD Pro Express and Boost Kit rather than just the wheelbase, is for backup equipment just encase something goes wrong.

Hi, your name rings a bell. I remember the seasonal events, it's been 8 years since GT6 released. Yeah, they were good times. GT7 looks like it is shaping up to be a much better game, about time too. 👍

Wise choice and think it is good to get the official wheel as you can't seem to purchase it separately directly. Always good to have a backup. Hopefully GT Sport gets an update to support it better too. I am just getting it out of curiosity.

At some point in the near future they will be offering the CSL DD Pro as a standalone wheelbase option so it seems you are best to wait for that.

Thomas wrote that their target is to ship the stand alone dd pro wheelbase only with the boost kit (8nm) before GT7 release in March. The cost will be at 599.95€/$. Waiting the Sony license.
I suppose until the end of the year it will be available for pre-order.

Just a short question to you People that own the Gt dd pro, can someone confirm that it’s recognized and works with Project Cars 2 on PS5 ?!
Maybe one more question, would my Thrustmaster T-LCM Pedals work with the Wheelbase ?!
I‘m on a T300 with mentioned Pedals and a TM Open Wheel Add On.
I‘m very pleased with it.
Would it be a worth upgrade or is the benefit neglectible…🤔

Can confirm it works fine on PC2 on PS5 (at least using compatibility mode)

The difference isn't huge.

Main benefits are strength potental (irrelevant if you're happy with the T300's strength), quicker response (couldn't really feel this with PC2's somewhat limited FFB), no fan noise or creaking, and getting into the Fanatec ecosystem.

Edit: The perceived build quality and feel is a lot better than the T300, but this is maybe not very noticeable when racing.

Thank you for the quick response @super_gt and @Ske .
I‘m going to wait for a Thrustmaster DD Wheelbase then I guess.
I‘m absolutely pleased with my Setup and rather only change the Wheelbase.
Hopefully Thrustmaster get their S… together and start to deliver 😅

TM is about to reveal their budget DD base, but if the timeline they posted a while ago is correct it'll be for PC only.
No mention of anything else for the PS, so I think it'll be the T300 or TGT2 for a while.

If you're considering a TGT2 I'd take a serious look at the GT DD again - I think the TGT is overpriced for what it is.

@Ske nah, I’m not in hurry. The only upgrade would be a DD Base, definitely not the tgt.
I hope TM will do a PS5 Compatible Variant too. But I’m not going to buy everything from Scratch again.
Like I said I’m happy with my Setup. So Fingers crossed 😅

I bought the preorder the other day and just realized that the express is the same thing as what the March release will be so I cancelled my preorder and just ordered the GT DD Pro Express, Boost Kit, Clubsport V3 pedals and the brake performance kit! Super excited, I hope they get it shipped out today- sounds like they're doing inventory in about a week and won't be able to ship anything which would suck if I didn't get shipped before then...
I get my GTtrack on Monday so hopefully will get to put it to use soon!

So, I noticed something interesting in the GT DD Pro manual.. SHO isn't supported by the included wheel.. this means that there is no FFB in the wheel because it doesn't have vibration motors?

The FFB comes from the base. SHO controls some additional effects by vibrating motors in the steering wheel.
I see.. So this wheel doesn't have SHO then, but if I get an upgraded wheel, it'll have the SHO?
Also, have been watching your youtube videos lately and love your content lol

Yes, but on console the games must support this feature. On PC you can control SHO through FanaLab even if the game does not support this feature.

This is the person you are looking for @F4H Super GT.:)

now only Clubsport series formula wheel have vibration motors build in , CS BMW GT2 V2 also disable this feature for saving weight and add rigidity , CSL and Podium series wheel don't have those motors as well

Ordered the Express bundle this morning. Very excited. I've been a Fanatec consumer for several years. Started with the CSW 2.5 base and the BMW wheel. I was very happy with that. Then I got the Rseat N1 rig. That was a huge upgrade. Then moved up to the Podium DD1 and the Podium rim with the magnetic shifters. So I've experienced what I would consider the best. Then of course life happened and I had to sell everything. Now I'm starting over. I've been messing around lately with Forza 7 and a controller. So the sim racing itch was coming on strong. I certainly do miss it. I have a pretty heavy motorized desk so I'm gonna go with the table clamp that's included in the bundle. Unfortunately my living situation doesn't afford me the room for another rig. Oh well, such is life. But I am excited for GT 7 coming out in March. Hopefully it won't be delayed again. Race on guys! Have fun.

I hope they ship out our stuff before they start the inventory in January 6.. if they don’t, we’re stuck until like January 17 lol

Exactly. What are the odds they could ship tomorrow? I've been following this thread. You're going to love those V3 pedals. I had those for a couple years before I sold everything. I've been waiting for GT7 for about 6 years. The dream is to play it with a direct drive wheel base. I know that rim is pretty cheaply made compared to what I had before but it looks like I can upgrade it later on. Hang in there bud. We're almost there!

Tomorrow chances are not good… their “warehouse” (which I think is just a logistics company) was closed Friday and probably Monday. There’s a chance they’ll go out Tuesday or Wednesday but if not, we’ll be waiting forever lol..

The last time I had a wheel, was a madcatz universal wheel for ps1/ps2 on gran turismo 3 a spec.. no force feedback, didn’t even know that’s possible. Then the other day, brother in law came over with his set up, which was a g29, a flimsy shaky rig with a pole in the middle of the pedals (what’s the point of that?) and forza horizon and truck sim on pc. It felt great and I loved it, then I started searching for wheels and when I ran across the fanatec stuff I was like WHAAAAT, so I had to order and waiting is hard lol

Ordered from europe wednesday, and it was shipped to me on thursday/friday, I should get the note today in my mailbox and will be able to pick it up or get delivered tomorrow. Also if fanatec didnt sent you an shipping number, you might want to check on your order confirmation as they never sent me a email that my wheel was shipped.

I got this email from Fanatec just now:

"Dear Mr Black,

The status of your order 1398617 placed on 01/01/2022 has changed to “warehouse processing“.

Our warehouse is currently preparing your shipment. Once it has left our warehouse, your tracking number will be visible in your account in your order details."

Alright, I'm gettin' excited, lol.
