Well, his uncle must have a case of schizophrenia, because as you can see on Geordie's Car Page, the only car he claims to own is the Sierra Cosworth, which can be seen here (look for the pic on the bottom left). He doesn't even mention anything about a 22B, although he did own a TVR, a Triumph, and a few Fords. Of course, none of the cars ALPINE mentioned are listed.

Then there's the 22B, which can be seen on a website design page here, being used as an example.

ALPINE, I'll let you in on a little secret -- if you want to trick people into thinking you or someone you know owns a car, don't just pick the very first picture you see on Google Images and upload it to Imageshack without even changing the filename. It's REALLY EASY to figure out.
because I HAVE NO PICS of the cars WE OWN, I used those as EXAMPLES
this is getting anoying now MODS PLEASE DELETE MY POSTS ON THIS THREAD

No.

Back up your claims or stop making them. Rule #1 in the AUP is:

AUP
You will not post any material that is knowingly false, misleading, or inaccurate.

I'm not helping you back out of a hole you've dug yourself by removing the evidence.

Registration plate. Photograph of the V5C with names/addresses removed - just so you can show you have the V5Cs for those two cars. VIN of the Cosworth. VIN of the 22B. Anything like that would do.

And just incase you think about editing them out, here are your ludicrous claims again.

my Ford Sierra RS Cosworth but my Subaru Impreza 22B is also fast

half right, half wrong. me & my uncle own those cars. we got them a while ago & are restoring them, when I get my driving license, I'll own them.

My uncle loves sports cars, he used to race minis, is restoring an MG & has owned a Toyota MR2, old Porshe (got rid of it within 2 weeks) racing mini cooper, Mini City, Ford Mondeo, Mazda Bongo Van & a Citroen Saxo.

Actually, I wonder... Is that Cosworth a 2WD or 4WD version?

ÄŁPĨЙΣ should be able to tell us - in a week, when his uncle gets back...

If you REALLY want I could post a few pics of it while my dad was working on it, and of the engine, but sorry, no sign.
We need the sign. I'm sure your dad wouldn't mind a sign, or would he becasue you don't actually own the car? Or what's to stop you from going to a garage and asking, "Can I take some pics of this car while you work on it?" If you had a sign, you would have to explain to the mechaninc that you were really sad and just trying to convince folk on an internet forum that this is your car. No sign means you don't own it. You're failing miserably at the minute.

Why is that anyone who says they've got a good car, is never in the same place as it? It's always in the garage, or dad/uncle/brother/other random family member has it, or I'm on a trip and its at home, or I've not got a digi camera, or I can't write a sign....

I thought all the 3 doors were RWD, but there was a 4WD version of the Sapphire saloon.

Ok, the two fastest would be a 5.0 Dodge Ram (although not technically in the family) or a Nissan 350Z (uncle).

But I don't know which would be faster.

Edit: Neglected to mention that 5.0 is a guess, I don't know US trucks at all.

And I've only seen it in person once.

Because the garage is in Long Island, NY, and I just moved to Los Angeles, CA.
Why is it that hard to believe?
Theyre only worth like 5 grand, and my dad's Mazda3 is worth like 4 times that.

Its my dads friend, not a family member, and what kind of excuse is 'I cant write a sign'?

From http://www.mail-archive.com/bmwuucdigest@uucdigest.com/msg06567.html:
my dad
I think you are pretty lucky to get that. My 1987
325iCM(euro) gets a fairly consistent 16mpg (sometimes
~15) Granted, most is local but I have done some road
trips now and then. I plan to next month. I've own it
a few years and think I've returned it to pretty much
Euro stock except for the cat. Since I've had it I had
to replace the transmission, no change and then the
engine, a 1990 Amerispec, still no change. I recently
installed a new DEC(!) converter to no avail. I've
even thought maybe sticking breaks, nope.
The car runs clean, plugs look fine and it ussually
passes (barely)emissions and pulls pretty strong,
though not quite as strong as the E-90 325 I just test
drove.
I'm considering either selling it or chipping it. I
think only E.A.T.(ETA?) is the only source I have for
a euro chip in America. Other than the tires, I can't
think of any other plan.

If you still dont believe me go to my dad's site at the bottom (geocities). There should be some pix there.

. So I was wrong, its an '87 325, not an '85

Pics of both the 325ic european version and the Javelin are there

The 325 shifter says 'YEEHA' instead of '12345', the NYP on its plates means 'NY Press', not NY police. It also has a blue side indicator (:yuck: ) , though that may have been installed after the pictures were taken. It was imported from Europe, has the hooks on the front to be tied down to the ship that imported them, was bought for 5 grande on the black market, sold for 3 grande on the black market.

The Javelin is in the driveway... nothing else I can say, really. My dad swapped the grille with the AMX grille, notice how the bar in the centre is missing, like an AMX not a Javelin. The Javelin fuel filler cap is under the license plate, which is hinged like a door to open and reveal it, some trim pieces off it are missing, it has louvres, black vinyl roof.

That proof enough for you ?

If you want even MORE proof, go to google earth. Type in '220-03 46th avenue, bayside, ny, 11361'. I do not live there anymore so this is not 'giving my address online'. But anyway, there should be an orange car in the driveway, which is the Javelin. Unless they updated it recently which I doubt they have.

Christ, it's gotten pretty bad around here with the asking for pics with signs thing. Next thing you know people are going to be asking me for pics of the DeVille and the 280ZX with signs on them! (Which I can't do, btw, they're in a garage until next millenium...👍 :D)

Oh, what? I give a crapload of proof for you guys and the thread dies? Sorry for making this unnecessary post but Im a little bit annoyed, to put it politely.

How come you never mentioned this car in your previous GTP account?

My Brother has a lowered 92 Honda Prelude. It always out corners my 70 Mach 1. Personally I call the Honda Prescrewed because there's always a problem with the car or the driver.:ill::irked::banghead:

Well, they would actually have to be my cars, my 1984 300zx turbo 50th ae. My ae has 20,000 miles on it (less miles than any other 300zx ae in america). And my newly purchased 1999 civic hatch. it has alot of goodies in it!!:scared: I am going to be putting a supercharger in it soon. Well, them are the fastest cars in the family. Its kinda funny their both mine and im only 14!!!
my grandma had a 1964 1/2 mustang. My step dad had a mustang gt. My uncle has a camaro, and my other uncle had a supra ( all very fast!!). Oh and my other uncle had a corvette!

I supposed that would be my 1999 Grand Am GT if we are talking immediate family, as the only opposition would be a 190hp Jeep Cherokee and a 140hp Taurus. The Grand Am has 175hp/210lb/ft.

come of it alp, you have a Suzuki Baleno Estate & your uncle has a VW golf & a Mazda Bongo camper van, I've seen them. your uncle lives 100 miles away in Shefield so I can't take a photo of his cars but I can take photos of your cars (or should I say your mums) seeing as I live in the same village as you.

why did you lie?

by the way, this bit is true

Alp, your on holiday in Shefield dogsitting for your uncle, why not take a photo of your uncle's cars while your there? (if he's letting you use his computer & if you see this.) see you on friday or saturday alp!

 Now that's unlucky... For hm and his lie, which until further evidence from him I will presume is a lie.

A?P??? To prove a car is yours you need to post a picture of it with a note with "Hello GTP" written on it, and it needs to have the bonnet open with the note on the engine or the note inide the car, or something that only you could do. I could slap a hello GTP note on my neighbors Porsche much like I could just snap a picture of it when he wasn't looking, I couldn't put it on the inside of the windscreen or open the bonnet though.

when he gets back from holiday I'll be getting him to post a pic of his REAL car (a Suzuki Baleno Estate 1.8) with hello GTP & his user name. if he doesn't, I WILL!!
after all, he's only 1 street away

My dad's uncle's sister's daughter's brother's cousin's sister's dad's mom owns a Ferrari FFX with 24" Wheels and a quad turbo. It's nice.

The GTP sign blew away in the wind, sorry.

I don't know which is the fastest for sure so I'll put them in the order I think they are (fastest 1st), I guess they're all pretty close though.

1) My brother has a MK1 MR2
2) My Dad has a 2 month old Saab 93 1.9 TDI Convertable
3) My Mum has a 6 year old VW Golf 1.9 TDI with 115bhp
.
.
.
4) And finally, I have a 9 year old VW Polo 1.4

I think that's the order they should go in. I know the fourth place once is in the right place.
If someone could confirm the order of the first 3 that'd be great.

My family don't really have fast cars but I'll list them anyway.

Brother- Had a MK2 Escort RS Turbo. Think it had around 130BHP. Top speed probably around 120-125 MPH.

Me- Had a Ford Fiesta RS Turbo. Slightly faster than my brothers RS Turbo but hardly anything in it. Sold that then got a VW Golf MRK 4 Golf GTI. Again 125 BHP but slightly heavier than the turbos above.

Nothing to rave about really.

Fastest car in my family? Well my dad has had a few "fast cars" not supercar fast but plenty fast enough anyway. Hes had a Sierra Saphire Cosworth (sold becuase needed a rebuild and he couldnt be bothered to fork out the vast amount of cash and a Lancia Delta Evo but when he had them i was pretty young. He sold the lancia becuase the door handles kept breaking. They are made of very thin plastic and snap leaving you unable to open the doors, seriously they were replaced about 7 times in a year and a half of motoring! When i was very young, probably about 5 or 6 (a guestimate) he had a Ford Capri 3.1RS which he still regrets selling even to this day.

Now the old boy is driving around in a landrover discovery TDI. 180,000 miles on the clock and still going. He loves the thing bless him.

I will dig out the old photo albums and see if there are any photos of them but its doubtfull.

Spec....
