so what times is everyone getting? im getting low 32s but i think 31s maybe even 30s are possible...

when I first tested it I was getting mid-31 pretty reliably. 1:30 is probably as good as it gets. I do love how this car gets faster the more you wring its neck.

Just started practicing today and my fastest was a 1:30.4 but it's very hard for me to consistently be under 1:31. I did on one stint, getting around 1:30.6-.9 until around Lap 5.

The .20 rear toe makes the car much tighter than I want it and I can't seem to dial it out. Still, the car feels predictable and I like driving it. 👍

0. Practice Race @ Nürburgring GP/D - August 27th
Sprint: 10 Laps (22 ½ miles)
Main: 16 Laps (36 miles)

Track is Closed:

1472-6399-8880-6893-7231

Free practice warm up until 1:30
Qualifying session will run from 1:30 until 2
Sprint race will begin at 2 pm
A break of ~10 min after the conclusion of the sprint.
Drivers cannot do any lapping during this break, but feel free to relax, get some fluids, take a pee, or even tinker with your setup (just remember no testing).
The main will then take place with reversed order from the finish of the sprint.

Damage on the sprint will be Light, the main will run Heavy.. See how that works out.

Just got out of the GT4 race, and I'm starving.

I'm going to sit this one out, but I should be there next week for the regular season.

15 min left in quali, only 6 cars on track at the moment. still plenty of time to jump in.

I'm gonna broadcast this race from the "Watch Race" perspective.

Tune in to my Twitch.tv live stream linked in my sig.

Before I left, I did get a 1:26.9 at Laguna Seca. Not sure how that will hold up but thanks again, Watson, on the LSD setting. The car feels better exiting under throttle.

Thanks everyone who participated in the practice race yesterday.
I think it went quite well, and I've made my decision about damage.
Since the poll is pretty split 50/50 I'm going to do a compromise.
The way we ran the practice race was Light damage on the sprint race and Heavy on the main event. That will be standard for the season. Light damage in the sprint gives everyone an opportunity to get used to braking under draft conditions before the Heavy damage kicks in.

Results are up
I'll make the page prettier and put up some photos before the end of the week.
I'm going to be posting all results on my web site going forward. It's just easier since I can write php code that does all the point math for me.

I look forward to a good six weeks of racing with you all.

I like the site Dr_Watson, looks clean and easy to read. I also like the bit where Im not dead last, haha.

Hi there,is it okay if I join in on round 3?Other commitments mean I am unable to attend the first 2 rounds.:(

Oh and are aero parts allowed on the cars or only those specified?

Try to see what happens when you try to put aero kits on the car. ;)

So it's like the LFA then,no aero parts on?
Oh damn I just realised EST is GMT-5 NOT +5,looks like I will be unable to join...

I might go for this. Racing is the absolute perfect time for me. Don't think I'll be too competitive but it is a good time for me so I'll join in. I'll put down my entry after I've actually bought my F430

I'd love to join, but don't know if I still can. If Its okay then my PSN is right under my username! :)

I'm a pretty casual guy engineering some fun for Saturdays, don't need hardcore commitment. When I say open registration, I mean people can register and race whenever their real life permits.
If we start filling rooms I'll switch to morning quali to grid the top 14.
For those who are able to commit to 5/6 races I will be keeping track of championship points.
With the two races back to back it can be just as much fun winning a weekend as a championship.

OP Updated.

Also I'll probably have a practice room open tonight. (probably 9-ish EDT)

Free Practice

Didn't mean to drop on you Aliens, my internet blinked out for a few min.
Btw, what color is that bronze you're using?

How were the lap times like? Since I had my 1:26.9 last weekend, I haven't touched the Ferrari.

I was doing 1:27.0-4 with regular consistency.
My best lap was 1:26.8, Aliens bettered it to 1:26.7.
He was killing me at the corkscrew by ~0.3 so if you put his T3 with my T1,2,4 you'll get a possible floor of 1:26.5

I think low 26's is all the prancing pony has in it. But at least for me 26's are pretty magical when they happen. It's not something that can be done easily, consistently, or on worn tires.

I'm going to post my car in the OP (when I get out of work) as a base tune, since the one I put together this week at Laguna Seca is a pretty good neutral starting point.

Ok then. I'll just need to run a few laps of practice to get back into shape for tomorrow. 👍
