Flip I'll run the Lexus with both setups on Thursday night if you want me too. 1 race I'll use the turbo and the other with stage 3.
Nice :-) I am looking to build an iracing/ computer racing desktop soon. Can't wait to get on it myself ;-)Im back.. took a bit of a holiday there but hey, Ive got a wheel now and Ive got an Iracing subscription.. So I am pretty pumped!!
I've used the new start....and qualifying systems. Both are great and hopefully will forever do away with the did he start.... nope ...did he start nope ...oops yes...RollingStarts which by and large rendered qualifying non important.I know we've been quite here this week, but we're still on for tonight's 50 minute races.
Just letting you guys know, for at least Suzuka, I want to try a grid start with the new light system (haven't done it yet). I'm considering this for the main series, as well. With the exception of Daytona, because it starts you on the banking and messes everything up.

That is also the thing about rolling starts, having the awareness of everything around you and being able to judge the jump of acceleration. I still agree it would be nice if PD does implement a rolling start system. Just got to roll with the punches for now.I've used the new start....and qualifying systems. Thanks for the race flip was not easy to overtake you, have to work on riding on medium tires and over committing fewer foolish mistakes.
What happened in the end it seemed to me that I reached the second, but the results spoke with that I've won.
Me too...as if it really mattered.Yeah... I didn't change tire compounds and forgot to change the setting that makes you do so in the game. So it gave me a time penalty at the end.
How bout a city circuit like Madrid reverseRight, so I believe we're good with Group B! (Yea!) Time to move on to Group A and make sure everything's alright with that this Thursday. I think we should try to get two 40 minute (a little shorter) races in, on at a high downforce track and one at a low downforce one. Thinking maybe Laguna Seca (?) and 80's Monza (because it's awesome!) Once we do this event (and I think we'll only need one night), we'll have a race or two with the two classes.
Also, I still don't have a definite replacement for Bathurst. As much as I love it, we know that there are some online problems with that track, and I'm not totally sure it's been fixed yet. So I'm looking for a high downforce track to replace it with to balance out the calender. A track along the lines of Laguna Seca, Nurburgring GP layout, Brands Hatch (might be too tight for these speeds), or something like that. The Ring will have a day to night transition, something to think about.
I like a city course idea :-).How bout a city circuit like Madrid reverse
To answer (and hopefully sort your confusion) the tyre compound was probably changed (hence no penalty) but the replay only seems to show yourself changing tyres, it seems to show all other drivers staying on the compound they started on (yet another bug).Sorry for the dbl post, but noticed an interesting thing occur during last nights race on the replay. After Flip said he never changed his tire compound and got penalized, I noticed Ares did not either (also check for this in replay), thus during my pursuit of Flip which he was registered as the number 1 position I was registered as the number 2 position during the last parts of the race. I called out on mic to ask Ares to let me by because I was coming within time to Flip to start attacking his position for the lead. that was a lap or two before I spun out. I would not have asked that had Ares been registered as the number 2 position at that point.
At the end of the race Flip got penalized for not changing tire type putting him back to 3rd place. Ares then took the pole with no penalty for not changing the compound putting him in first. Now this might be a one time incident, but in my review of the race it distinctly shows Ares in 5th position by the last two laps we raced. I am now wondering if the bugs of the endurance racing online are fixed or not with the latest update. Can someone else check the replay to see if it registered this for them also. I would hate to go into the next league using the endurance race with a bug like this.
Check lap 14 for Ares's pit and see if it shows him changing compound on another replay.
Check Lap 13 for Flip's pit and see if it registers a tire compound change.
Check Lap 13 for my tire compound change and see if it registers.
Finally check the end of lap 18 going into 19. About 4.5 to 5.5 seconds into 19 Ares lags a bit then is thrown back into 6th place still on Flip's tail... Ares also hits 233 mph at 5.623 seconds into lap 19 lol.
That is what I am figuring, however it would be good to check everyone that saved a replay for this fact. Flip stated at the end of the race that he did not change compound, so I was just checking everyone changing compounds. To answer (and hopefully sort your confusion) the tyre compound was probably changed (hence no penalty) but the replay only seems to show yourself changing tyres, it seems to show all other drivers staying on the compound they started on (yet another bug).
I did not realize that, but now the big thing though was in game real time the position indicator was wrong, is this another part that is a bug or glitch that is not working right either? I knew last season there were points when not everyone was shown on the race.Replays don't show tire compound changes, they haven't since the beginning of the game. You have to go by lap times.

you have some drivers who lap very closely with mediums because they do not fully utilize the softs(like me)... The best bet is to specify starting tires and allow free tires after that... And allowing but not mandating pit stops.....still allows for strategy and removes the policing completely.Ooo... I did not realize this, GT5 did this and I didn't know this was a problem. However, we now know that the game will penalize you with a big time penalty for not changing and a message pops up in the chat, so we do have a way of identifying it, at least.
Eventually I'll start a f3 series using the red bull jr detuned...or the Ralt if it were available. We really do need a training series like Formula Ford 1600 for new guys and guys like me who hate friggin tuning. Are you looking to start a new one or find an existing series?
