Saw someone asking about Skylake performance.
I'm running on a i5 6600k paired with a GTX 970. Locking 60fps ay1080p. Custom settings mixed Medium/High. I compared it next to my Xbox One and my pc version looks a whole lot better.
Micro freezes occurring only when I get the Roads Discovered notification.

How come VIP works for some and not all. So annoyed, all the lost xp and wheel spins etc.

My Horizon 3 PC experience so far has been excellent.
Given the quality of the motion blur, I opted to go for all settings on Ultra, MSAA 8x at 1080p just to see what the frame rates would be like. I was getting around 50fps on my i7 6700k, GTX970 and 64GB RAM. So I dropped shadows and external reflextions down to high and that did the trick. The rate is unlocked and hovers around 60 most of the time, with the occasional dip to 50-55 in dense forest sections.
Personally I am less annoyed by screen tearing than aliasing, so this was the right combination for me. The result feels smooth and comfortable, not had any stutter or hiccups while racing.
T300 support was a mixed bag. Tarmac driving was lacking in feel (weight transfer especially) and was noticeably worse than Forza 6 Apex, however off-road was giving some excellent information through the FFB. I had to turn vibration and forces to around 80% to give a decent result. I can live with this since the game really does have an off-road focus (and that's the main reason I got it). I found that upping linearity from 50 to 55% helped give a more direct driving feel while leaving the wheel at 900 degrees.
Issues I had:
- obviously the Ultimate Edition extras are missing. I think it only works on PC now if you claim the rewards o Xbox One and then switch to PC.
- I found that load screens sometimes seem to lose focus and pause. The game just sits doing nothing at that point. Clicking on the desktop of the side screen and back to the central screen running Horizon full screen would poke it to move further.
- you can map wheel controls to a custom profile but you don't seem to be able to change the mapping of a stock profile. The fact that you have to map all kinds of buttons before it will let you save the profile was fiddly, but I guess when I put some time in that should be adequate. The stock T300 button mappings were bearable for now.

The game works well in 21/9 but with my nvidia set-up the game does not even launch if I use my 3-screen display. The game could at least run in 1080p bit it just crashes !
I have only used it with a pad and I am not sure I will play with a wheel. The game is quite fun but considering the overall gameplay and the locked unrealistic fov, it seems to make more sense to keep the wheel for something else. At least it is the way I see it.

I'm on pc, and i have all the vip stuff. The only problems i have are the servers. But that's understandable right now.
One complaint I have is that the car upgrade menus make my fps drop drastically (as in 2fps) when pressing left or right. I found that it's a little attenuated when i reduce the motion blur (but it still taks forever to buy parts).

I also have no problems with the DLC/VIP stuff, but I do have a very annoying issue where the stutters increase as time goes on, with the game being practically unplayable after 30 mins requiring me to keep restarting it. Also my Groove station doesn't seem to work, just hangs on loading forever. But besides that i'm having loads of fun, and it takes a really fun game for me to still have fun with issues like that.
Was 46 GB in!

Dude feel your pain, it really is a shambles. For me all I done was ensure my C: had over 60GB and even though I selected D: as download drive with plenty of space I wanted to be sure this wasnt an issue.
All I can say is keep at it but reading peoples other issues its a mess, a real big one and looks bad for MS when we just wanted this all to be a great start to enjoying their AAA on PC.
Is their anyone on here with HDR tv and a Nvidia card.
I was told that HDR was possible if you have the Nvidia developers HDR SDK installed, cant confirm.

The official bug list has a bunch of things for PC, but as the comments below demonstrate, VIP isn't actually on the list.

Console owners are laughing thier asses off, looking at the amount of issues with PC version some are having.
I guess those that have both a PC/Console are enjoying the game and it running pretty well, including getting all their VIP etc. No doubt it will take time to recifity the issues but how I hope PC owners are re-imbursed with partial refund/compensation.
Anyone feeling confident to pre order the new GOW based on this, yikes bumpy road ahead...

If I were to get it, would I even be able to get a constant 60fps at 1080p on the lowest settings? I have a GTX760; you can find the specific specs in the signature.

Still having the random stutters , using preset ultra on 6700k gtx 1080 @ 1080p using the 372.90 driver.
Also buying carparts im having bad framedrops there.

Tried with a wheel. Honestly it is not worth the hassle of plugging everything in. Steering feels dead, brake feels too strong when in high speeds and it won't even work when your car is rolling unless you push it all the way to the floor. About 5% of the clutch travel is useable; everything below it does nothing.
So yeah... Not worth it. I chose not to complicate myself. I play it with a controller. Works and feels great.

I think the issue is that it's not even recognized as a G27 at all.

The G27 is fully functional in FM6 Apex.
