I don't think it's unbearable in my opinion but it can definitely be improved.

I agree (TX wheel), not the best, not worst, I would rather use a wheel than a gamepad.

Something else I noticed on the store for me, the VIP extras shows as "owned" but when I clicked on one of them for info/detail it then removed the "owned" tab and now has it showing price to purchase.

For me the (game downloaded but cant boot as no gpu) I had hoped like Apex it would work on HD530 integrated (using latest beta driver).

Yeah, that's affecting a considerable number of players on PC. The devs started looking into it not too long ago. They're apparently working on a script to automatically fix the issue for everyone who's affected.

Just to confirm : While I was playing this morning my VIP status suddenly flipped on. Logo appeared by my gamertag, the VIP and Allstars packs were available to use.

So you don't even need to restart the game, it's pure server-side.

Unfortunately my 4k TV only refreshes at 30Hz and it's very jerky and screen tear-y when I play unlocked. I'd like to see the game running on a monitor though.

If you buy it off the Xbox (or is it called Windows Store? I dunno) Store, you will get a digital version for the PC AND Xbox One. Buying the physical copy of the XB1 version will NOT give you the PC download.

Correct. You just have to be using the same XBL account.

Just remember that the Forza Horizon 3 engine is designed to be twice as taxing on the Xbox One as Forza Motorsport (30 versus 60fps locked).

I am getting roughly half the FPS in Horizon 3 compared to Apex (55-65 versus 90-130) at ultra settings 1080p with my GTX970+i7 6700k combo, to give you a feel for the difference.

I assume you are talking locked ultra @1080p with no drops? Can't do that either...

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I accept some tearing and leave rates unlocked, and dropped down shadows and reflections to high. But rates definitely drop into the 50s in some parts of the map. I've been mostly in the outback so far, so maybe I'll have to drop down a few more to high when I hit Surfer's Paradise?

Not pretty. I advise you to wait for the PC demo and definitely not to purchase without trying first.

I've watched his videos, excellent content. I personally think that the tricks won't fix the whole problem and we'll have to wait for a patch that optimizes the game unfortunately

Usually that error indicates a driver problem. Have you checked whether you need to update any of your devices to new drivers since applying the Anniversary Update?
