Where's the neljack who loyally made his way to almost every race and came 2nd in all of them? :(

I'll be there, but it'll be a last minute join, will be rushing back home half an hour before the race starts.

Glad to hear that, see you on track 👍

Has anyone see my GT1 S2 teammate robert?

Just thought I'd drop by to say that I'm not able to race as I hoped to.

Good luck guys! 👍

I may come by for a bit before I leave, been running some laps in my lounge for the past half hour. Are 32s any good?

My best was a 33.0 after 5 laps, 32s of even 31s are great laps.

Hi guys is there any spaces left ?

I think, send a friend request to GTP_DaxCobra
What car will you be driving?

FIA GT1 Season 3 - Race One - Nurburgring GP/D

The stage is set for the third season of the GTP FIA GT1 Race Series, hosted by DaxCobra. A lot of testing has gone on to make this season as close as possible.

The track itself is a legend. Built right next to the nordschleife itself, it may not be as daunting as it's big brother, but it is certainly a tricky one, and much loved amongst drivers.

Turn one is a real challenge, as it dips down slightly mid corner, inducing oversteer. This is where most of the passes will be made, under breaking. the next few turns are long and swooping, until we get to turn 5 which is the end of Sector one. Turn 5 has a similar effect to Turn one, where it dips mid point. Again, this one can ruin the rear tyres as it makes the rear wheels spin. The next part of the track is a beautifully flowing left/right section, which feels lovely when nailed. A quick flick onto the back straight, and into the penultimate corner, a slow chicane. Heavy breaking into here will also see lots of overtaking maneuvers. A final and long right hander and onto the start finish straight.

We have a grid stronger than ever, with some new and old faces here and there.

The question on everyones lips is, who is going to win this titanic battle?

I'll go with the vantage then 👍 just need to get it ready in time now :P, thanks guys :)

This clock is right?
If so I will be there in about ~20

The future of this race doesn't look too good right now.

Dax, get your priorities straight, we're honestly tired of you forgetting your own races.

FIA GT1 Season 3 - Round One

Well the season has started with a bang, and the Vipers dealt the killing blow with carracerptp at the wheel.

Newcomer GTP_Biffy made a stunning start to the season, it was hard to tell who would win out of him and carracerptp. 3rd place went to another newcomer, GTP_GREEN, who despite not looking too strong in his 1st stint, outdrove Sumo098 and GTP_Daxcobra to finish 3rd.

Sumo098 finished 4th, ahead of 5th place GTP_DaxCobra who despite having tyre wear issues made a 2 stop strategy work, almost catching Sumo098 in the dying laps.

Carbonox finished 6th after an apparently boring race, followed by A_Higher_Place and then GTP_RanhammerR34.

Thank you for a brilliant race, and we shall meet again at Monza.

That was a great race 👍
Biffy and I had one of the closest races/battle I have had in sometimes :) .
Qualifying was "OK" I finally got into the really high 32s. Biffy did a 32.7 for the pole.
It was nose to tail racing for 28 laps. It seems like Biffy's car had a little more oversteer than mine, on new tires he was faster but after the tires gave up I had a small advantage. Still we swapped 1st and 2nd many times.
It was amazing how close the race was at the end ( I really figured Biffy would have wasted me by lap 3 )
That was a fun, fast pace race guys. I really like the viper and I think I have got it sorted out now.

Even better than our Monaco battle in the Elises?!

Was a great race today really enjoyed it 👍, didn't get alot of practice before hand but atleast it was on a track I knew pretty well. So just took me a while to get comfortable in my new aston :sly:, anyway looking forward to draft fest at monza :).

I had bad oversteer. Like, really bad. I didn't have enough time to set my car up today, as I was helping my dad dig a pit.

Anyway, I had a fun race so I will not complain. Sumo had much better pace than I did, so if I was that close to beating him, I think 2 stops were better anyway.

Edit:

Looking at the replays my wear wasn't majorly worse... It's just my setup didn't really compliment it.
