in your experience is there a performance difference?

For me, there IS. I run all mods, Turbo & Engine stage. I would advise you try full mods for now but, there are some who run it stock & are still very fast & win races. It usually comes down to skill & familiarity.

Good race all. Zeroduck (FastDuck) and I had a good battle the whole race. If he had pitted when it stopped raining I would have stayed out, but when he stayed out I knew I wasn't going to be able to beat him because his car was faster on the straights and passing on the hill is near impossible. I never would have thought that the tires made that much difference. I was 28 seconds down after pitting but was 10 seconds a lap faster with fresh racing slicks. The rain made the track unpredictable. I'd have a little grip one lap and none the next making very hard to be aggressive. Did anybody else notice that?

Hello, ALL! ---

- Thanks to ALL who participated & finished!

I had an amazing race! Had a lot of fun but, I always do @ Panorama!:lol::lol:. I started on RH tires just waiting 4 the race to come to me. I had to work my way through some nutty stuff in the Mt. section! :scared:. When the rain started falling i was luckily close to the pit & went in. I had to also make a quick restroom break cuz i didnt time it well :dunce:, I took a full tank of fuel & switched to W tires. It was prolly a good thing cuz it was nice to mentally 'reset' for the rain:tup:👍👍. The rain started in the middle of the night & fell quickly up to 100% surface water!. The surace water stayed @ 100% from then to the early morning when it quickly cleared up & was 0% in 2 laps! I agree HEMI, the part of the race @ night while raining was very difficult, i was wondering if it was just me as well!!:eek::eek:. Overall it was one of the best races ive done in GT6!:cheers::cheers:.

I've had something you could call a lonely race. After Qualifying, when I saw the lap times of Zeroduck and @HEMIata: 2:01,xxx  it was clear to me that 3rd place would be my goal.
First laps of the race, I tried to keep up with the leading duo as good as I could and it went surprisingly well at the beginning. They did not reach those insane fast lap times they did in qualifying as they were battling for the lead and that costs time. When - I think it was Zeroduck - got away from HEMI, they both became faster and faster, so no chance for me.
While trying to keep up with the two in front of me, I had a good pace which put a nice gap between me and the 4th.
I started on RM and did not change that at first stop. I was lucky, less traffic and the drivers I've lapped behave absolutely cooperative. That's race etiquette at its best
When the rain was over, I didn't know what to do with only a few laps left and I think we all asked ourselves: stay out on the dry track or pit and change to slicks? I remembered what gurizzi posted a couple of days ago:
"The course can still build up rain puddles even if the surface is 0%"
I didn't want to risk a crash and there was no need to push hard, big gap between me and gurizzi behind me, so I decided to finish on W.
Lap times of 2:15 - 2:17 compared to 2:03 - 2:04 on slicks got me thinking this hasn't been my best decision this evening, but there was no going back. Finally I finished less than a minute behind Zeroduck and HEMI and 30 seconds in front of gurizzi. So I felt I got the best out of me with constant lap times and no crashes, what made me really happy.

Again, thanks to all who participated, best experience I've had with gt6 so far.
Looking forward to the next Cup, keep up the good work, gurizzi! 👍

If you want the cars to be competitive then try these specs and see what you think. You will still need to have a good setup for each car in order to get the best out of them. These specs will allow engine tune but only the GT-R can have turbo. Once you have the BoP you want, make sure you list the PP of each car so everybody knows they have the right parts on their car. All this can now be easily checked before the race. If you want to allow any upgrade then I'll have to do some testing to see how the upgrades change performance.

AUDI R8 LMS ULTRA 2012 510hp 1350kg n/a
BMW Z4 GT3 2011 515hp 1350kg n/a
MERCEDES-BENZ SLS AMG GT3 2011 505hp 1350kg n/a
NISSAN GT-R NISMO GT3 2013 552hp 1350kg Mid/turbo

Hello, Hemi! --

Thnx a lot! Im planning on testing today, to finalize specs. for this weekend. I know ur testing is accurate so i will use these specs. today & see how it is. I would like full mods available both engine & turbo so i will let u knw how it goes. I test @ Panorama, where did u test these specs.? thnx again, Hemi! it really saves me time & i knw they will be reliable!

-- Let me knw any other info u come up with!

Can I ask why, for these races, you specify the Audi R8 LMS Ultra in lieu of the regular R8 LMS? The Ultra has more power and is lighter, but for these races you restrict the power to the regular LMS's rating, and add 100 kg ballast (regular model would only require 50 kg ballast), thus negating any reason I can see to specify the Ultra. I don't get it man, what's the reason? :scared::confused:

Hello, ALL---

I have a 'friends only' lobby open now. Testing the specs. that Hemi was kind enough to provide for us. If any1 would like to join in & help ur more then welcome. thnx!

Good test session! With HEMI's specs + full mods, Gurizzi got a 2:03.5 in the R8, and I got a 2:03.6 in the SLS and a 2:03.9 in the GTR. Obviously there may be more room for improvement on the times as well as the specs, but a really good start I'd say.
