Damn Argentineans... They're really good, South Korea is far better than Evil Korea, and even so they're overkilling them.

I'm not getting on my soap box again but I don't think the N.Korean football team are evil.

Argentina are the first team to qualify through to the next round. I hope S.Korea follow them, a draw against Nigeria should do it for them.

I hope you find I was kidding, it's more than obvious that the N.Korean team members are victims just like the rest of the population.

It was expected from Argentina, but I still don't feel confident about their defense. Anyway, the attack is the most powerful and kind of compensate the defense.

Nice game by S.Korea, I hope they advance.

I've predicted 2-2 Nigeria and Greece, but I think 1-0 Nigeria at best, this is going to be an awful game to watch.

Yeah things are turning more and more interesting,I think teams are playing better and taking more risks in this second round

Well the way Eneyema played against Argentina in that 1st game I thought they had a glimmer of hope if the 1 goal lead stood into half time. It seems to me that if they have any real hope for making it through they have to win this game. Now they have to do it a man down for a full half, so that's what I meant... in a trick.

Eneyema again! And his teammates completely fubar the break away (odd man rush in hockey speak). Actually on review the Greek 'keeper did well to get fingers on that shot as well.

Right. I propose a new WC 1st round rule, if tied after the first half a coin will be flipped and the loser goes a man down. Now that might put a charge into some of the better teams taking things a bit more seriously . And guarantees the 2nd half will be exciting/nerve wracking depending on who you're rooting for .

Argh! It seems I'm missing two excellent games - add to that my lab is 27 degrees (and I can't turn the aircon on as it affects my experiment!) and that I can't even listen to the radio commentary, I'll be mega pissed off if the game tonight is a clanger...

Two good games so far today and plenty of goals at last. You can understand why the first game is always cagey, it means alot. Greece only came alive after the sending off, it will be interesting to see if that inspires them to go again or if they fall back to their old ways. I still can't see either of those teams progressing though.

I've had all of the 12.30 and 3.00 o'clock games on the TV at work, which sounds great, but we're not allowed to have the sound up (library) and I can't actually see the TV from where I have to sit....

I'm rooting for the Mexicans too. I've always admired their style of play; to be that short but still be competitive. I also hope they beat the puto's, for the irish of course.
