:D YES!

One thing I hate more than anything - a line a defenders standing stationary with their hands in the air, watching someone score. Maybe France will start playing now?

oh man what a cool shot of the mexican guy with his face painted.

Now Mexico needs another, because France will open the entire field looking for a goal. Mexico can very well take advantage of such situation now that Cuauhtemoc Blanco is in.

The altitude of the Polokwane Stadium is 1230 metres = 4034 ft

I was wondering why the new French substitute was blowing after he ran on.

I can't believe the referee ate that. amazing.

EDIT: You should hear people in the streets screaming. My whole building went freaking mad.

Woot! I foresee a draw between Mexico and Uruguay...

Are you kidding? The runner up from this group will (probably) be playing Argentina!

That's cool, late night for you then :D

Convincing win for Mexico, and very well deserved. I feel sorry for the French supporters - I'd be asking for my money back, given that the team haven't turned up.

damn, France was really... bland? I mean, come on, Thierry Henry (SP) off? why?

I did not see them play agains Uruguay, but man they were pretty weak. Mexico played well, and it's a pretty well timed joy for the people of Mexico, seeing how things are over here.

Now, where is my sombrero?

And to top it off, Shearer just described them as the worst team he's seen in this tournament

Can't believe my eyes, we just beat France. At a world cup. I'm not really THAT into soccer but man, that's no small feat. :D

Indeed 1st time ever for Mexico against a prior world champion, you should be well proud. 👍

So CONCACAF finally showing they/we can be a threat or is taking down the French just not that significant of a feat this year?

Viva Mexico !!!

Hahahaha pathetic play for french team.
Bye bye Domenech the most worst manager of the world.
It's not finish, for France, but i really hop than this french team go home and Domenech be OUT !!!!

For all foreign guys here, France dont have a team and we know that in France 1 or 2 years ago. So it's doesnt matter.

Dont forget too, they'r only ONE winner for world cup.
Spain, England, Hollande, Portugal, Germany, Brasil, Italy, Mexico, Argentina etc... can say bye before the end.
Il ne doit en rester qu'un.

Very good player Mexico. thk you for the show.

It great to see and hear the commentators/presenters finally getting into the spirit. They're quite biting of the French team, in particular their management.

That's been the best day yet and I'm sure there's plenty more to come.

Reports are coming in of a severe shortage of Old El Paso fajita kits across Ireland this evening...

At least one team turned up, Mexico. They played well today, France are undoubtedly the better team player wise but that goes to show how much the mental aspect plays it's part. Mexico looked good and well deserved the win in that game. Good goal by Hernandez, it was definitely close if he was on or off side, but he took it well to round the keeper and Abidal was just stupid flying in like that when he gave away the penalty.

I don't know man... Are you asking me? I'm not into sports really, but I show a mild interest for Golf and Soccer ONLY on the world cup. All I can say is that I was very disappointed by our tie with the South Africans and to be honest, France being an world cup winner I didn't think we could even tie against them.

I don't know much about all this point thingy, but according to my colleagues, qualifying for the next round without winning this match (which looked quite difficult to begin with) would've been rather difficult for Mexico.

👍
