Absolutely clear. No goal.

I hope our much so repeated pattern doesn't occur. We play an awesome match UNTIL our opponents score their first goal. After that, our morale goes down and the team goes downhill.

Good match this promises to be.

yeeeeah, two-meter offside. I love FIFA referees.

damn there have been so so SO many steals in this world Cup. Will FIFA rectificate?

first one was offside. The second one was absolute stupidity. You can't play against Argentina... or NO one like that. Mexico deserves to be down now, and Osorio should be put to rest now, as punishment. Yes, as punishment.

For when the video in Match FIFA ? Goddammit.
They'r absolotly no goal for Argentina.

OMG Argentina 2 - 0 Mexico. now.

Fifa will do sod all.

Which is a shame, because Mexico had decent momentum until that shambolic decision.

One Day, two dreadful decisions which should both really add fuel to the fire of the technology debate, unfortunately Fifa will almost certainly stick their heads in the sand on this one.

I spy with my little eye: green laser pointers on the pitch.

Who let the Greeks in?

All the FIFA guys deciding about things are a 100 years old, thats why nothing will change.
I don't know why having an extra referee who can watch replays is such a big problem.
It wouldn't take more than 15 seconds and the game would really benefit

if they so decide, at least they'll look sooooooo bad with the international football comunity it may really cause something... I mean, all they need is a freaing screen, for God's sake.

"Replay controversy leads to suggestions that Blatter should be relieved?"

edit: What a goal by Tevez.

Mexico played well and were unlucky with the decision - but Argentina were deserved winners, and I think Argentina will put Germany to the sword next week... still no goals for Messi, but yet he is definitely a contender for Player of the Tournament so far. As for Rooney, no goals.... that is all.

Two great games today:tup:
Unfortunately the referees in both matches weren't up to the task and two dreadful calls tainted the winners victory.👎
The use of the new technologies are mandatory from now on,IMO.💡

Apparently, this octopus (with the most advanced eyes in biology) has "predicted" 70% of Germany's games correctly in the last ever.

Since Germany have won 70% of their games in the last ever, it's not much of a reach to suggest it recognises the German flag and has been trained to go there every sodding time.

well, can't say much about what happened today. Argentina deserved the win awright, but frankly, I think that Mexico lost, not that Argentina won. After receiving such a stab in the back and after incurring in such ridiculous errors, it's no wonder Mexico left the tournament.

What could have happened if the first goal was correctly invalidated? The macth was incredibly even up to that point.

At least I hope this dreadful two-time steal day will be historic and will push worldwide football organizations to make FIFA's life a living hell.

To be honest, technology is mandatory in a game which allows this scale of human failure, Lampard's goal and Tevez offside just influenced the respective games and completely changed the scenario for both teams, England came up to attack and suffered mortal counterattacks, Mexico was playing nicely and completely gone nuts after the first goal, that game was likely to be won by Argentina, but Mexico was proving to be a strong team, capable of taking the win. Bloody referee. :grumpy:

Kudos to Hernandez to the nice finishing and to Tevez, for a wonderful shoot. 👍

Honestly, I just hope that this doesn't happen again, it completely screws the whole spetacle. Disgusting.

There is inclusively a petition with FIFA(Submitted by a Portuguese Journalist) asking them to provide the referees with video footage to help them.At least in this kind of competition they should really allow it or else the winner's victory will be ,like today were tainted by these ridiculous mistakes:ill:

The only point in pinning the blame on individual officials is if an unusual mistake is made, one which is not likely to happen. The problem with FIFA's sport is, it keeps happening, again and again. Logically, this tells you that the officials are not to blame.

The officials are trying their best. They are not trying to mess up the decisions. The human being is not built - does not have the visual accuracy - to get these decisions correct all of the time.

After the France/Ireland game, with the big injustice in that one, FIFA made their stance clear. The problem is, Ireland is just 4 million people - too small, not enough sponsorship, not enough power. But now this problem has hit England - big nation, football heavyweight etc. So I can only hope that this will help a revolution.

England really were just bad though. Good individual players. No team. The "system", and tactics etc. was something which would stop them winning the world cup. It is not something that can explain the rubbish performances against Mexico, Japan (friendlies), USA, Algeria and Slovenia. You could randomly shuffle the players in the formation and still expect them to beat Algeria.

Graeme Souness has been working on Irish TV for the WC. He was explaining what happened to him in the 1986 WC in Mexico (also high altitude), how physically he was just ruined, and that 3 weeks later back with his club, as a 34 year old, his fitness levels suddenly jumped above all of his younger teammates.

He feels that England have messed up hugely with the preparation by basing themselves at altitude in Rustenberg. He made the point that the USA, who no doubt can have the "best of the best", could have gone to altitude to prepare. But they chose to base themselves at sea level, and then just cope with the games based at altitude.

When you look at the individual performances, this makes a lot of sense. They England players looked slow, flat, no pace. Rooney had no sharpness at all. So many poor touches, bad ball control. The only problem I have with this theory though is that I saw the warning signs in the two friendly games, in particular the Mexico game where they were really out-footballed (although still won somehow).

Actually, sure here is Graeme Souness's theory:

England's second "goal" against Germany and Tévez's first "goal" are the perfect examples of why I dislike football. England's should have been a goal, and for what I have heard, Tévez's shouldn't have.

What's more, people grabbing each other's shirts should be kicked off instantly from a game. On a side note, I want Argentina to lose this Wolrd Cup just because I'm tired of seeing people on TV being happy that Argentina plays dirty and gets away with it. Thankfully, next game against Germany is the perfect moment to lose. 👍

EDIT: Would have been easier for me to say I agree with Dan_.

Beautifull scene !
