Guys still on night shift but tonight I can take a lightly longer break for 'lunch'. I'm going to head home and run a practice session while I can. If anyone is up ad fancies joining me I'll be on from around 23.30 UK.
 
Good race yesterday, well done to the podium finishers and especially Erazer. I found out that I had a heat stroke yesterday. Luckily for me it wasn't a too extreme form of it, as I didn't go unconscious but I did feel like I was going to for most of the race! That explains somewhat why I was 7/8 tenths off the pace every lap and unable to even get close to the 26s in the first stint especially, also my low fuel pace was still a few tenths off my full fuel pace a few days earlier. Anyway grand valley will be very interesting; with a huge straight and tight complexes, the track suits all sets of cars and drivers in different ways so I'm looking forward to that 👍
 
@DannyB013 sorry if I had pushed u into a spin at the chicane I did try to break but was so focused on the 3way battle with yourself and @nissman that I just couldn't react in time that and I had no where to really go unless I took a dive lol... Wasn't sure if I should have gave the place back or not and didn't want to if I didn't have too lol I need all the good finishes I can get especially with u aliens up front lol
 
So I see an earlier post re the delay of the release of GtSport which brings me to the conclusion that I get the pleasure of another series being put together after this current 1??? If so *****king brilliant :gtpflag:....
Also seeing as there is essentially no longer a limit to the end of the current series I pledge that we somehow bring Le Sarth into the mix?? I was thinking maybe as an extra race before the appropiately chosen finally at Spa but with a twist we all use the same car with no tuning allowed just to make things a little interesting let me know your thoughts guy's???

My personal feeling is I hate tuning. It makes aliens even more alien. But for proof don't look just at first races - look how it progresses along the way.

Sure, here we're talking about TWO kinds of aliens. One is driving, other tuning alien.
And yes, if one is "just" tuning alien, then he will close the gap on driving alien - BUT NOT on player who is both driving AND tuning alien. And on and on, you get my idea...

Look, for my first race (Tokyo) I just picked up tune from internet Sunday, spect the car for the first time and did did some laps... Pole time.

Since then, tuning aliens keep advancing their tunes - I can't, I do only make my car slower, a fact!

Stephen, you are always POSITIVELY "obsessed" with equalizing regular folks with "Driving aliens" and it's good. But do you realize existence of "Tuning aliens" I don't see you implementing any measures regarding that...

So, I would support a hibrid idea - Daniel said Sarthe/tuning prohibited, I'd say GVS/tuning prohibited THIS monday :D
(as kind of cheking the balance between players regarding tuning.)
 
We cant do it for this Monday, however we can look at it going forward.
In my opinion, and i have also run untuned and tuned series, it adds a lot to the experience.
Guys spend a lot of time in the week tuning, practice and practice races, in fact to most of us the race is just the
cherry on the cake, most of us spend ages enjoying the cake through the week, and thats what i enjoy.

In untuned series, there is very little practice as once you know the car then there is no point in keep going round and round in practice.

Also Aliens will still overcome, they are just superior at getting 110% from everything, and stock cars are no different,
they will overcome somehow.

But i will discuss this with Niss, possibly keep the cars the same - just have bhp adjustments which are allowed with non tuning.

As long as everyone is happy, i am happy.
 
Understandable points... I just do not have that time, not anymore... But I still invest a lot in it at start, and STILL i see my car getting slower and slower.

And it introduces another kind of alien into the mix. This raises alien potential from 110% to 150% due to synergy :D

Can't agree with this, in my opinion there is no such thing as a tunning alien because the game doesn't have so much tunning options(like iRacing) for that to be possible.

I think there are only driving aliens and that is more than enough to make a diffrence on track.

I remember our alien Tony1311 talking how he doesn't have totaly no clue how to tune a car but he was still 1 sec faster than anyone, in the end I think if you put a bad tune to one of the aliens they will still win because tunning in GT6 is not the game changer is my personal opinion but obviously it helps to have a good one.

All the tunes in this series are posted in page 1 nobody is keeping it a secret so I think most of the guys are not losing much time coz of tune but just pace and consistency.

Why were you on pole in Tokyo and then lost some pace I don't know, but you said than aliens have found more time from Tokyo on with tunning and I think that's not the case. I for one didnt change my tune much from Tokyo on (just trans and other minor stuff, depense on track) and I won Laguna. Also I never found a miracle second over night with tunning, I think thats not possible in GT.

Me and Logic have been working and thinking very hard about rules and regs before this season. This is a handicap series so we are trying to ensure close racing. If we had a no tunning series than the aliens would be even faster because its harder to drive a stock car fast than a tuned one in my opinion. In the end the gaps would be even bigger I'm certain of this.

Personally I think the current rules and regs are spot on with the track calendar being the best possible what GT6 can offer.
