Hi, oh, that was you! :)
Yes, I Think you won every single race while I was in the lobby. I was trying out the GT-R concept LM RC, but could only manage 03.9
Switched to the HSV and tried to find the same lobby again, but never found it. Hope I meet you again and I'll give you a proper match ;)

Hi everyone this is my first post !
And sorry for my english ...i m sick and tired of all the messages i have everyday in my inbox from angry players who accuse me of using some bug ......can someone explain to me what is this bug ...i swear i dont do nothing unusual when i enter a lobby ....and in midfield my average time is 1.03.0 and my best was 1.02.7+

Hello friend!

The bug is - SRF - Skid Recovery Force - it can be enabled in career mode, bug is - it stays enabled in online racing mode.
This system does not allow you to slide off the line, wheels just find grip and accelerate.
SRF was discussed in this thread during 10 last pages a couple of times :sly:

The funny thing - that was the same reason why I registered here

Ty friend for the speed answer and
I used to feel like you, eehh good old days. Now I know - 1.01.9 without srf possible... I was lucky enough to witness it lately. No matter how much i try - can not squeeze less than 1.02.5, maybe it's automatic transmission wasting some time, at least i like to think that way

I've run against both of you, and blamed my ability to only hit a minimum of 1.03.xx on using auto transmission - can't use that excuse now!

I tried manual and auto no big difference.....manual is alwats faster but not so much half a second max
By the way i tried also midfield arcade and i did a 1.02.3 for 3laps
So this s the famous SRT........

Auto transmission isn't the end of the world but it is one less tool in the arsenal. For example, the last and first corner at Bathurst is where 2nd gear is an option but I don't always use it. I can be more aggressive on entry with a quick 3-2-3 shift but I may scrub off too much speed on the downshift or mess up my line. 3rd is more consistent but a little slower overall.

I know I ran a 1:02.7 with the HSV and it could be better if I could nail the last left before the tunnel. I do it really well with the Bandai Lexis but I can only do mid 03s with it. A bit surprising it's not as fast down the straight despite getting over 600 hp out of the engine.

I had some great races in the 600pp last night.
using the 2000 AU Falcon V8 Supercar, with only a tune loaded in from an old FITT event from Bathurst.

I could keep in touch with the leaders for most of the race, and overtake if they ran wide or were fighting each other,
But every race, I was punted off the track into the first corner on the last lap by some moron in a HSV that couldn't pass cleanly, through a wide open door on the inside.....

I've been getting some decent results in the Weds Sport Celica. It's not the most stabile of cars, but it surprises many of the HSV folks. I'm getting 1:04s with my own humble tune up, I'm sure a better tuner/driver could get it deep into the 3's.

Managed a 1:03.4xxx once with it. I'd add it to the list of best HSV alternatives along with the GT-R and the SC430.

I've been having some great races at Midfield using @coryclifford's HSV. Met a lot of good clean racers but never seem to come across any fellow GTP-ers. Actually what with QMs and the Suzuka TT the HSV is the only car I've driven for a week. I'm starting to feel very at home in it.

Question for you guys about messaging. I get quite a few messages after races and I'm amazed at how quickly people send them. I use a wheel with no PS button so it generally goes like this -

1. Receive message.
2. Look for controller.
3. Find controller under sofa.
4. Battery is flat.
5. Find another controller under cushion of sofa.
6. Navigate menu to messages received.
7. Start entering reply but remember that this one has sticky controls so it comes out gibberish.
8. Next race starts in 10s.
9. Throw controller under sofa and feel bad about not replying.

So what's the secret? Keyboard (Bluetooth?) connected to the PS3? Even if I get prepared and have a charged and powered-on controller to hand there's no way I can write a message quickly enough using that horrible controller UI.
It would be really nice to have a quick message system so you could send a "thumbs-up" or "sorry" without having to come out of the game.

That's nice. Glad to hear you like it. I like it.

My DFGT wheel has all the buttons and it can be pretty quick if I'm really short with my messages. Typically a :) or thanks or sorry. Or, you drive like a dope. Or, cmon man. Or I wait until after I'm done to reply.

Before it failed, I used to connect a Bluetooth keyboard to the PS3 and send messages that way. With the controller, I can get maybe a two or three word message out.

I had a few races against you (@StirlingMoose) a couple of days ago. I was Digtater in the GTR Stealth Model and sent you a couple of messages. I can't remember what the first message was but the second was to warn you about ozzykiller who'd just come in the room. Complete ass hat.

Enjoyed the races anyway.👍

I got stuck in a room with ozzykiller too - what an idiot!!

Ah, you're Digtater 👍. You were asking about lag. I tried to reply a couple of times and failed. I also wanted to apologise because I think I may have pushed you wide at turn 1 in one of the races. I must have left before ozzykiller arrived.
Anyway, good racing and I hope we meet again soon.

I had a couple of instances of lag where the guy about 10 car lengths in front magically appeared in front of me for a 9 second penalty and plenty of cars drifting across the track I had to dodge. I did get one bump going onto the straight that had me hitting the limiter before the pit entrance though. Went from a couple of car lengths in front to about a 5 second lead.:D

As for ozzykiller, you timed it perfectly by leaving as he arrived.

One of these days we'll all be in the same room. :odd:
And after you posted that, you ran right into me. :D

Bit of a bad break because I must have found my groove along with gearing that I liked and was running personal bests. Then again, legitimate competition tends to bring out that extra tenth or two.

Your car has some extra launch speed out of the last tight left. I did a few .8 times.

I was super tired. 4am wake up time is kicking my butt. I shouldn't be awake now. :(

Probably because I always use the most aggressive gearing possible (lowest final + lowest mph). I was having trouble with that last tight left until I ended up making 2nd gear tall enough that I can use it until I'm just about done exiting. It does complicate gearing in other corners but it's worth getting that last tight corner before the straight right.

Hi everyone
Dont waste time speaking about those players (specialy this funkiller) ....i dont mind a little fight .....bumping each others in corner without ramming you in the grass ....taking the inside a the last moment to defends but before the braking point......those peoples arent here to race .....

Talk about a confidence boost in your speed. Been doing the Autumn Ring Quick March and have only lost one race, and that's because I tried out the GTI. Turns out, it corners horribly.
