Change of plans. My father in laws house caught fire and they are staying with me. It may be a few days before I have the garage thread up and running. Still need volunteers for lotus and mclaren tunes though.

650 PP = MCLAREN F1 '94

At 650pp the MP4-12C is a nightmare, stupidly fast in a straight line but understeers like a pig at high speed and loves to light the tyres up in the slow corners. Really feels like it needs a body kit with downforce to keep the front wheels on the ground

Don't even ask...

I have noticed in some races in Campaign that the AI will crash these cars more often than others. In the Ascari endurance race I saw one crash on the corner straight after the first chicane on every single lap.

It just loves to roll over if you go anywhere near a curb, I'm close to giving up on it at 650pp

Have you tried a very soft suspension? IRL the car doesn't have ARB's so set them to 1 and balance it with spring rate
Yeah I've tried soft springs and no ARBs but the car gets unstable quickly at speed, the main problems are huge amounts of exit oversteer in slow corners and the front end going light at high speed. 930bhp/1150kg makes it an absolute missile in a straight line but the active rear wing (non-removable) causes the front end to lose all grip above 120mph, in the slow corners its manageable off the throttle but you have to choose between basic rotation and stability on exit because you can't have both.
Its a shame because the car is so nice to drive at lower PP, it just feels like its too fast at 650 and it can't keep the wheels on the ground without proper downforce. It feels like a muscle car, hillariously fast in a straight line but when it comes to the corners its probably safer to get out and push

Gentlemen, if you have been tagged in this post, it is because you have participated in one of the last five FITT Challenges either as a tuner, tester or both. A month ago I teased a potential challenge as did DolHaus. Together, they would make an interesting challenge. So here it is: FITT Blind Challenge, 2 classes each run by myself and @DolHaus.
I would take the first class - S2000 vs RX8 @ 450pp on SH likely run at Grand Valley East REVERSE. Class run by Dolhaus, GT300. 3 cars to choose from on RH @ Tzukuba. Here is the catch, all tunes must be submitted through PM to myself for Class 1, to DolHaus for class 2. We would then post them publicly as numbers, no one would know who's tune was whose. I would tune for class 2 and test for class 1, Dolhaus would do the opposite to remove any bias and to not test our own tunes.
What I am looking for is a potential head count of interest, would you be willing to tune, test, or both. We would like to encourage every tuner to tune for one class and test for the other, this would be preferred so that no one would test there own car helping to keep their tune a secret (so to speak). I understand that not everyone wants to test and that would be ok also, depending on turnout, you could choose one class. If you would like to be a tester only (and it would be appreciated as we always need them) you could do both classes.
There are more details to be ironed out by this is all I will say for now. Looking to see if we can pull it off as mentioned or do we need to make some changes to tuning limit(of only one class)
Please feel free to give your opinion and let me know if you are interested in trying a different attempt at a challenge. It was done once before similarly in GT5 and went over rather well. Trying to redo it but just slightly different. Any questions just ask.

Thanks for allowing me to ramble,
Bowtie.:)

I'd love to tune class 1 and test class 2.

Count on me for tuning - class 1.
