Controller Sensitivity: 5

Automatic Transmission

After a few adjustments, I'll gladly say that I am happier with it than I was. The body rigidity allowed me to put in some camber and make the turns a little more comfortable and predictable. I still couldn't get the feel for it with some of your suggestions @Ridox2JZGTE , but you did force me to take it back out there and with being reminded that I had a body rigid car all ready to go, I was able to find a few more tenths but more importantly, confidence! Still totally the opposite of how @praiano63 handles, but it's now in the hands of the testers. Best of luck, I'm off to clean the house and pack!:yuck:

Oh and before I forget, @DolHaus can you put me down as a tuner for the street classics please?:sly:
Two questions for you Sir, is your front toe +0.25 - just double checking?

And what color is that?
*ponders whether or not to start calling Lionheart "The Great Pumpkin" for using orange 2 challenges in a row*

Ok,..... so make it 3 questions, Custom rear wing - not that it matters - would you like to give more details or just go with whatever?

Yes, you are reading the front TOE settings correctly....I told you guys it was weird, or maybe that's just me!:dopey: Custom rear wing doesn't seem to make any difference, looks I'm guessing, but I've only done a small amount of testing. I just didn't want the testers to have to buy specific parts, especially if they think my choice looks shh-tupid. But the color stays! Just plain ol' Matt Orange.

Wing is just cosmetic, all are the same just look different but I wanted to build what you had. Wing not that important, I will make it look good :sly: ....and it will be orange:tup:

I have updated my GTO with CM tyres and I am going to leave my car in the hands of the testers to see what they can make of it. Thanks for the challenge DolHaus. :)
I gave your GTO a spin when you first posted it and it wasn't half bad, maybe the tweaks will take it from a contender to a champion 👍

107kg? Pah, I've got 200kg of dead bodies in the trunk of my Evo and anyone caught laughing at it's fat arse will be added to the pile :mischievous:

{Cy}
Nice to know it has a capacious boot (trunk), both sporty and sensible, everything the modern psychopath needs in a car

*Looks around and tosses a few bodies in the trunk of his car* Hmmm maybe the weight will solve the speed problem, more power is good!!!!!!!!!!!!! When in doubt more power, more of everything!!!! 'except aero'

Generaly the added re-wing on a race car adds more downforce and slows the car more, as I found out in the miata challenge.

Should be no difference between rear wing vs custom rear wing...hopefully. Still has the same adjustment values in the downforce section of the cars settings. What do you mean by re-wing?

Edit: if I'm understanding you correctly, a race car that comes with a spoiler can see gain by adding a rear wing in the custom shop to replace the said "stock" spoiler?

I only tend to use a wing if the car has high speed stability issues, I find that the wing is just adding drag and reducing front end grip by pushing down on the rear, short of 600+ horses you shouldn't really be seeing any issues with the rear wheels not staying in contact with the tarmac at speed. The amount of downforce offered is not enough to help keep big power cars planted at low speed either so it can't really be used there, up until about 80 - 100mph all the wing is doing is adding resistance to your ability to accelerate.
If there was an option for front aero I'd be more encouraged to use it because you could adjust the balance to keep it more constant through the speed range but as it is I don't think it offers enough benefits to be worth the losses.

I agree with you on that!👍 But yet no wing on the Viper monster and a wing on the MR2:odd:, backwards must I be.:dunce: I just treat each car differently, (half my problem probably) plus it didn't add any pp so I figured why not?! Anything to help keep the rear in check...420pp on Comfort/Medium pfffft who's bright idea was that?:mischievous: 399 and down usually get those, unless I want to feel like superman and throw Racing/Softs on them!
You also forgot the better braking and the understeer added on mid corner when the wing gets put on.

Correct, but if your not seeing a change inthe aero values it may not be afffecting anything. easy enough to test. take the car to SSRX hold it in first gear(dang square x drivers ;)) till you hit the line than go for broke to 500 M check speed and time to that point. take the wing and repeate. change nothing else on the car. varitions of less than .200 seconds can chaulked up to shifting time, rpm at shift and your reaction time to shifting into second at the line.

Say what you will but sometimes I just like the look with a spoiler or wing added (see 69 Z28). When I do use it, I try to keep the downforce as low as possible. My Viper had it for rear stability but testers felt mid corner to exit understeer, but I liked it that way. Each car and setup are unique and what works for one does not work for another.

On another note, Comfort Mediums on Classics?(should be CS).......Sport Medium on Racers?(SS would have been my choice)...... @DolHaus is the new Evil Genius or just trying to torture us.:lol:

The Viper may be a monster at low speed but at high speed its incredibly stable, feels like it has hidden aero perhaps, the MR2 is a terror at any speed so anything to give it grip can't be a bad thing

A video posted by @danbojte driving the NSX GT2 at Mt Panorama - no ABS :D :)

Very smooth driver, a little too smooth perhaps.

Some folks like understeer and stability, others like to use instability to make the car perform differently. There is no right or wrong way, the best car is always the one that gets you to the chequered flag.

If I was running a race series with the cars then they would be on the next tyre up, but this is a challenge so I have to make it harder and bumped everything down a notch. Also the lower grade tyres balanced it up better, made the naturally faster cars more difficult to drive and gave the less manoeuvrable ones a better chance in testing.

It's got enough pace that you won't even notice the bag of lye, nor the shovel and hatchet in the boot. You gotta have some front to drive it though, it's not exactly an inconspicuous motor :sly:

I still haven't carried out my final runs on SM tyres yet, bear with me, the pallet furniture is still distracting me :odd:

I dislike SSR5 i can'tdrive it consistanly. one lap i scream through a section next lap I bang off a wall.
Granted i have managed 1:29 at MRE and 1:30 at SSR5 *and my times are on the lower side of the testers most of the time* Time to ice it for a day and go back to the street calssics and see what a day on ice has done to it.

Well, my first post of the GTO had CS tyres on it and when I put CM tyres on the same tune, it felt worse (probably obvious that it would really). I think I have returned it too its former glory for drivability. I guess ill find out when testing begins.

That's a good point. @DolHaus for the Road Racers, tuners are allowed to "mess" with the gearing of the Fully Custom Transmission...it's the Street Classics that you aren't...
@Lionheart2113 - yes sir no transmission configured not allowed and if allowed I better transmission, including changing distribution of torque .thank friend.:odd:👍
Per rules stated onpage one.
Street classics Fixed ration transmissions only
Road Racers Fully Customizble transmissions permitted (pre isntalled had to be) no statment of dis allowed gear tuning. to be found.

Of course you are allowed a custom transmission setup on the road racers, not sure how that would have been interpreted otherwise

That's what I thought, for a second I was in a panic thinking that I wasted 2 hours figuring out which transmission setup to use.:nervous:
