Ok I'm not going back to find all the posts I need to quote so hopefully I can remember all the things I wanted to reply to. (This thread moves at like 5 posts a minute...... geez people)

Sure thing Wardez send me the file. Whats .png? Publisher?

I will take a look at the replay in the morning, almost been awake for 24 hours off of 4 hours of sleep so I can barely type this. I'll give you time frames with the view points I would like, by all means add in your on racing moments as well.

In this video, I wanna show only small amount of bumping, nothing big. I do want to see people spin out, hitting the walls, and sliding into sand pits. Of course I do wanna see close racing as well, especially the larger groups like the 5 car ones, as well as the close finishes like me and Red finished by .04* of a second and Sam and RT's finish as well (for sure). Reason I want the crashes is because this video will be about 1 min and 30 seconds to 2 min long so I don't only wanna show racing, I wanna show the action of the race as well. I will also want footage of incidents that happen in the pits like 3 cars go into the pits together or a high traffic entry/exit lane. I also want to see a few pit stops, would be nice to get footage of the pit crew. Things like that.

Also Graham I like how you called Room A the SuperStar room. :D

Anyways off to bed.

Edit: AND BEST BUY WINS!

yea I'd like to thank Mark the manager at best buy for letting me drag over a sofa from the audio/television department. really helped!

Absolutely. I did NOT take fuel, and even after my tires were changed and the car dropped to the ground, it just sat there. I was like, "Go!"

pit stops seem really random. i went in ahead of welsh and veloci, and i ended up behind welsh once we left the pits. it made for an interesting view of turn 1 with you and DRAGO right next to him.

Here's my recap:

Wardez knocked me into the sand on the first lap...the end

Wardez got bumped from behind by sticktion which sent u into the sand trap. Looked like it was just a total accident, he even waited for you to get back on track and pass him. 👍
I apologized to blackice earlier, we were in 3rd-4th with turbo and dolph leading by a pretty good margin. I bump drafted him all the way down the straightaway and the extra momentum sent him into the trap. I was super bummed to see that happen.

Props to the guys up front, I think we did a good job at keeping it between the ditches. We ended up going 2x2 into the first turn on one of the final laps.

My B-race recap:

Turn 1 in I move to inside of spankurmom (who was trying to go inside of handofgod) and entroper moves to inside of me. Entroper and I collect and Spankurmom ends up being shot out like a pinball into gravel.

Exit of turn two GTP_jbell hits me from behind pushing me into Scepter who was a bit loose already. Scepter spins 360 and would have saved it but he then got rammed by GTP_jbell and dropped to near last.

Entering turn 3 into tunnel GTP_jbell flies over me like a star wars pod racer and goes straight into the wall.

Exiting turn 3 in the tunnel, GTP_jbell rams me from behind so hard I jump from ~80mph to >100mph. Would have been awesome but damage was on and I went red and fishtail the length of the tunnel into hand of god at the entrance of corner 4 (he recovers but we both lose time)

Pushing a bit too hard to catch back up to the main group, I blow the hairpin before the straight which lets a now lag-free GTP_jbell pass and GTP_tylor catch up to me.

Laps 2&3 are decent b-tarded battle with tylor and I repeatedly trading paint/positions allowing Entroper to gain and get into the mix. Unfortunately the battle ended for me at the beginning of lap 4 when GTP_jbell (who had solo spun into the gravel & wall between T1 and T2) decided to reverse perpendicularly onto the course and I T-boned him hard enough to go fully red. Damn near everyone passed me while mechanical damage limited me to 55mph

By the end of lap 5 I was again within sight of Entroper (who was drafting gravydavy). Entroper passed gravydavy on the straight and gravy wound up right on Entroper's tail before turn 1. Gravy sanity-braked, but I had only lifted and suddenly found myself up 2 car lengths into the back of gravy. He got into the gravel and as I was slowing down to let him repass me he quit the game and unleashed a chat tirade :guilty:

The next 19 laps were pretty uneventful for me. I was so far back I pitted on lap 10 hoping to at least be able to run near the leaders for a while, but they must have been battling pretty fiercely since my 1:20.0s were enough to maintain a ~1.00 deficit and I never even saw them in the rearview.

Hey man, this is awesome, just what we would need in the ideal.

It's a script! I'll just play camera man and follow the composition :)
Thanks a lot for the effort!

I'm not sure how long Ice's gonna make it, maybe hey could slap together an A and B version. We'll vote on which we think's more bad ass xD

Yeah, that's exactly what happened Egg.

And props to you guys for sure!

I know exactly the 2x2 formation you're talking about. I had to take a bunch of pictures, it was executed so perfectly. And with the way it looks, mid corner all together in sync, it just comes off as an iconic image of the series. Really cool stuff 👍

DUDE!!!!! I forgot about that. That was totally awesome.

The only action I thought was good enough for a vid was the last 5 laps or so of the top 4 in the "Supasta" room. Great passes, clean passes. Then the last lap %#$& up from me (maybe had help, havent watched the replay yet) that really mixed it up.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure I saw Welsh get some crazy air in the tunnel off the curb, I'm not sure if it was before or after Turbos argument with the wall. lol

Does anyone know of the websites speedtest.net and the associated ping test are a reliable source of network information?

I'm desperately trying to find ways so that I don't drop next race and trying to find a baseline of my connectivity. 👍

Nah don't worry about it man, we were just going faster then normal so I didn't know when I needed to turn in. Normally I go into turn one coasting and I brake at the end of turn 1.
(sorry to brosif, alien, egg, Veloci, and you Sam for bumping you guys on turn one when you braked, I was expecting you guy would make it through without braking. I think I pushed brosif a bit too hard into the sand trap that time I hit him. Sorry man)
But what happened to me was I turned too late and then when I saw I wasn't gonna make it, I braked and my back end slid out once i hit the rumble strips, which led my side ways into the sand. With these cars needing momentum to get up to speed, I wasn't able to to catch up with you guys cuz you guys were drafting and I wasn't.

So its not your fault Sam, just my own drivers error.

I downloaded Entroper's replay. Wow,big difference from my replay. So sorry about all that lag. I will try some more practice rooms with you guys. Please tell me if the lag problem shows up from me again. If it does, I won't even bother with the main events.

Once again sorry about that. I hit reverse to get out of the wall and then saw the three of you coming on the map. So I tried to get back into the wall really quickly, but it was too late. I do try to drive clean and I am really sorry about that one.:scared:

I thought there was some decent position changes with the couple at the back and myself and I had fun during that part. I thought it was pretty clean and fun racing. Please let me know if it wasn't as clean racing as I thought due to lag.

Bell: I got a picture of you in the air when you were lagging on my replay. Ill post pictures soon.

Btw, awesome jumping by blackice on lap 18 in the tunnel. Don't know if anyone else did the same. Might be worth including in the video.

I did it twice. Lap 12 is the first one, if memory serves me correctly, then maybe two laps after. Fun times!

Had a lot to do with that curb on the right side going into the tunnel. That thing was nasty and caught me out once, almost twice.

Edit: Effective immediately, Autumn Ring Mini is being exchanged for Cape Ring Inside. This is the last change being made to the schedule. I just felt that ARM was not what I thought it was going to be in terms of racing.

Okay good cause I really hate that track. Its too small, almost no room to pass. The full track would have been better but I like this choice. 👍

Edit: Pictures from Group B last night. Not a lot but if you want a certain photo of you or more, just let me know and I will take some tonight for you. Just tell me your name and car colors.

We are running the full track later in the season - check the schedule.

Sounds like a real Spec Miata race. Fast, close racing and a few guys with their head up their...

Sorry... pic didn't post.

This gives new meaning to "Flyin' Miata"!

So can someone straighten something out for me? I always figured for the best connection in a room that you disable the mics, so you can use that bandwidth for the race itself. However, last night Wardez said you want mics enabled for the best connection.

Which one is correct?

as long as you're on a physical LAN line and not WiFi it shouldn't matter since everyone's mics are off. BUT mic's on may cause PSN to prioritize your room since VOIP really needs QoS to be stable.

I would think turning mics off would be better for your connection, though I don't really think it's necessary. If you're concerned about the bandwidth, you can turn the voice quality down for the lobby, as voice is highly compressible. We left the mics on in the Group B race, and I think it worked out great. There was no idle chatter during the race, and it enabled people to communicate.

Right, so F the '04 drivers then? Got it.

Sorry.

I'm not just talking about turning them off, I mean full-on disable them when creating the room.

Sorry.

I'm not just talking about turning them off, I mean full-on disable them when creating the room.

exactly. if you start the room saying "disable mics" than PSN knows you don't need QoS priority to carry voice. That would be the only way that having mics ON would make any positive difference in the connection quality.
this is hypothetical though, since I admittedly have no clue how sony handles traffic shaping on their network.

no skin off my back, i'm faster everywhere in the '04
and certainly better than effing everyone who doesn't have access to practice the custom kart track.
I was against the custom track as well. The point is that people chose their cars based on the tracks in the series and now that they can't change cars the tracks are being changed.

All because a couple people 'don't like' Autumn Ring Mini or that they realized the '89 isn't as fast there... well they knew the tracklist when they picked their car and so did I. Altering it now isn't fair to the people who strategically chose one car over the other based on the given tracks for the season.

You know what? I don't like Tsukuba OR Laguna Seca, but nobody is going to remove those from the schedule if I complain. It's something I have to deal with, and ARM is something that others (who don't like it) should have to deal with.

That was heartfelt. :indiff:

Graham, please stop. Please, please, please, I am asking nicely because I like you. You are nice dude and, once again, you are going about this the wrong way. Yes, I am talking about your recent episode of pissing off GTPlanet’s founder because of your lack of tact (a keen sense of what to do or say in order to maintain good relations with others or avoid offense) when it comes to dealing with these types of situations. What are you going to gain by being an asshole to Turbo? Nothing! And yes, despite you not thinking so, you are being an asshole to Turbo when you make your petty little comments.

R1600Turbo
True, but he got up there because he was glitching. Not sure if we want to advertise that we have glitchy races. :scared:

I didn't know it was doing that. I can put up my replay to show what I thought was clean racing on my part. If I knew it was like that I would have left the race so I wouldn't mess anyone up. Like I said, let me know if the problem persists in practice rooms and if it does I won't race in the race on Sunday(if I qualify high enough for the b room).

The problem is likely my rural Missouri internet service. I've got the best offered in my area, it's better than dial up, but still very lacking.
