New practice room up: 1472 6118 4130 9219 6228

(I'm no longer in charge, but it was 10+ strong when I left)

101.6 is my best right now and I still got 2 more hp before full breakin :dopey:

Just let your Bob run it on the roadster 4 hour overnight. It'll be fully broken in and barely need an oil change...

This has nothing to do with the series, but does anyone want to let me borrow a Gallardo or a LMP car? I'm working on my A-spec level and am too cheap to buy either. :P

Edit: Or one of the three '67 racecars would be nice too. :D

Any practice race scheduled for tonight?

None schedules no but anyone could easily just set a longer practice race anywhere they want.

In order to do it quick just hold quick regular quali. before a race, only drawback is you'd have to limit it to first 16 come first 16 served 👍

I can send you my Gallardo when I get home.

qualifying question: When I blow the chicane on my 1st timed lap, can I backtrack on the course far enough to carry normal speed through the start/finish so that my 2nd timed lap won't be killed before it began?

Should be just about back up to normal speed shouldnt ya?

Depends on how badly you blew it. If you just cut a corner enough to not count the 1st lap you may be fine. If you hit the wall or spun to a near complete stop in the outer grass, your next lap could very well be 0.5+ seconds slower than expected...

Just don't blow it. :)

I don't think you'd be going fast enough between the line and the first corner to get that much of an advantage.

Yeah man, just concentrate on using your first flyer as a good lap to build up momentum. Better to slow down just a bit more than you have to to make a good exit than to go all out and ditch it on the cape.

The difference between crossing the start/finish at 96mph and 70mph is .885s at the first checkpoint. I expect that the margin between 1st and 16th will be less than that...

Edit: (difference between 96 and 87 is .545s)

I have yet to practice for any of the races this weekend....

I'm notorious for never practicing enough. I like to do hot laps the night before a quali. or race if I can. But most of the time I'm doing my first runs around the track in a certain car right before quali. or racetime.

It explains a lot in what I'm lacking but I hope to fix it sometime soon :dunce:

And as to why I'm like that: part laziness, part motivational.

I felt that when I practiced a track the whole week it didn't make much more of a difference than when I only practiced like a handful of laps.

Like in season 1, I probably turned like 5 hours of track time leading up to when we did Nurburgring GP/D (mostly tuning) but I still performed under whelmingly.

Then we went to Tsukuba later and that week I really couldn't practice at all. Sunday morning before quali. is when I finally had time to run some laps and I got up to pace pretty quick, qualified highly and narrowly missed out on my first podium (Thanks Spyhunter). Part of that was 'cause I knew Tsukuba pretty well though I guess. And it's a simple track.
I can pick up tracks pretty quick, once I know the car obviously. But that's the key, really knowing the car.

Honestly, I haven't turned a lap at CRI since last week.

I'm talking about if you cut the chicane and don't lift before the line.

Edit: Speaking of SpyHunter, where'd he go?

And my original question pertained to blowing the chicane in such a way that your next lap would be ruined as well (usually by sliding off into the grass on the right just after the chicane).

We had some good practice races last night at cape ring, and then everyone left to go update and I created a new room. We ran a couple more races, then we did some epic shuffle racing, no holds barred. I hope we can do it again tonight, its so much fun. All I could hear was Handofgod giggling the entire time and pissing off entropy everytime I spun him out. We even did a 5 lap race at SSR7, it took 40 minutes and we all were within a second at the end due to the high boost.

iamjamen is brosifduder.... LMFAO

Wasn't Imari located in Japan?

Let me know when you wanna practice, bro. My internet hasn't taken too kindly to the series though. I'll be qualifying on Saturday since my friday isn't free. Going karting at the lcoal track that day with my sister.

This also needs to be watched:

Imari's moving to Sydney. I'm moving to Sydney in June as well which is cool, we could chillax sometime. I'm a fellow steward in WSGTC with him.

And Brosif? What? I think iamjamen knew Brosif at one point but they left and came at separate times, weird.

iamjamen wasn't really that nice to begin with though. Brosif much more of a bro then he ever would've been.

And props to the video, I thought that scene was pretty rad too 👍

I'm positive that the two are one and the same. However, I'm sure that brosif would just deny that he was jamen in the first place to screw around with me and make me doubt myself.

Look at the post turbo quoted in this thread, it says Iamjamen. If you look right above the quoted post is now named under brosifduder.
