Yeah it's a long race. Mine took about 5 hours because I took a break for dinner and to rest my wrists.

True. I just misinterpreted what he said.
Yeah it was actually really fun, I used a stock Toyota 7. It was way faster than all the cars except a Bently Speed 8 that started 2nd every race, so that kept me on my toes.
I was doing it for experience though and each race didn't even give me enough to make the bar move. Oh well.

Hey everyone. Here's the real reason PSN's down (if you're invested enough I guess):

So it's not because of hacker attacks as we assumed. But continuous hacker/modder exploitation which Playstation had semi-control of but simply fumbled the ball on defense and decided to shut everything down Madagascar style only to re-build the entire network infrastructure. Pretty impressive and epic story as it seems at the moment in my view. We really can't blame anyone but a few of the network heads at Sony deciding to release the new dev console converter firmware.
btw if anyone here's a Redditor give me a shout, I use the same name.

Funny you just bumped the thread, as I was updating the message on the first post and going to bump it myself.
So, Sony says that PSN could be down for another week. If that is the case, we'll postpone Tsukuba yet again to the 8th of May. IF for some reason it has to be postponed again after that, then we'll have to look into canceling one of the races to keep us on schedule. (IE: finishing before I leave for Silverstone)

I just got some bad ass earmuffs
I've always wanted a way to be able to hear GT5 through a headset. The fact that it's aplified so I can finally turn up the chat volume to an audible level should really help too.
And yes, I realize PSN's bound to be down for a while so I can't test the chat function yet. I'm gonna test it out when I'm back from work tonight on the Nurburgring to get that wind noise all up in my ears.
But another reason I got it is 'cause it's compatible with the 360 and PC so I can test it out with iRacing on the new tracks and stuff - night racing @ Sebring hear I come.

If I am reading the product page at Amazon correctly.. I think you just plug these into a USB port on your PS3.

That's what cool about sets like this. You don't need some crazy receiver to get console audio on headphones. It comes with these "piggyback" red and white stereo connectors that plug rigt into the headset's dongle so you get the sound right from the system.

I don't like the feel of using a bluetooth set. Audio comes through more clearly through a headset and I have my PS3 right next to my TV/computer monitor desk area so I prefer a cable anyway. The mute button and volume adjuster's also better and such so yeah. It doubles as my PC headset too now so it's all gravytrain style budskie.
