2 lap sprint that is only there for a crash? That's not racing or entertainment
Funnily enough I don't think they plan crashes. Sport is entertainment, it exists as an entertainment format. Sounds to me like you should go and watch traffic out the window.
 
There's 2 things they can do now: call it a day and you have a rollback to previous order, or you end the red flag and do a SC lap to finish

The rules do not allow that, not that they have let the rules stop them in the past.

They will complete lap 58 behind the safety car to complete the race and this is the finish order.
 
They will do one final lap under the safety car.
The question is which order they start the cars in, and that will depend on if Max completed the first sector before the red flag
 
Yeah, they'd need to do the lap so they have official finish timings so any penalties can be applied.
