That is so cool, Great photos -(Love the sheep ones)! I think they have it spot on again. I have never been to Edinburgh (On my list) but from all the photos I have seen they have captured the buildings and streets well. (Even better than DriveClub+PGR) 👍
Thanks! I wanted to do the same thing for Horizon 3 in Australia, but the only common area I visited between the game and real life is the Twelve Apostles off the Great Ocean Road, but I don't think the game got it right. And, actually, that sheep picture is one of my personal favorites, thanks!

PS Edinburgh is a wonderful city, worth a visit. It's a great drive from London, through the Lake District to get there, too. I highly recommend it.

No. I've had that happen just about every other race in solo. Same car, stock paint, lvl 1 drivatar.
My outcome usually has half the field as one car, and the other half as another. Kind of annoying to be honest when you catch up to position 1-4 and they're all driving the exact same car.

I like that the sheep run away from the drome if you chase them with it  (I eventually found the Autumn Barn find and it was getting dark-again)

I also really enjoyed the Long Road race 'Colossus' in a Ferrari. I then went to the Dirt race 'Gauntlet' Final (lvl10) Wow what a race, I picked the Ford Fiesta GRC #14 car (one of my faves so far) It throws everything at you, narrow tracks, bumps, long straights and it seems to go on forever with beautiful scenery in the Autumn Sun through the forests. I don't know how many miles it was, but it was a close and exciting race! One of the best games this.👍

Autumn really looks great, a nice change from Summer. They have done really well to capture the seasons so realistically.
Autumn with its rain and wind is what you are used to. So that's very realistic. Summer is fake :lol::lol:

I did a 100K rental in Edinburgh and tested ten hyper cars around the city. What a blast and so beautiful. Imagine the Royal Mile from the castle to Holyrood in a McLaren Senna and then to the right to Arthur's seat, which I walked about five times (in real life)

Edit: Saw the great pics @SPhilli911 after I posted this one. Thumbs up! And yes Edinburgh one of the favorite cities I ever visited.

So when do we get the Nissan and Mazda? When I select them from the Car Pass calendar, it's says they're unreleased but show that today is the day they are released. It's 0839 where I am.

I had that problem with the Egg and Triumph last week. Meanwhile, I got a pop-up for the Japanese duo last night when I loaded it up a little after midnight UK time. Accepted, and it took me to the Autoshow to pick up both.

It might require a full game restart. I tend to just put my Xbox to sleep instead of close the application, but IIRC I started it fresh when that happened.

I did a full game restart about an hour ago, but I'll do it again, see what happens.

EDIT: and there they are.

They showed up in the Autoshow for me at around 11:45 PM EDT, I didn't need to restart, so I'm not sure what the trigger is for them to be purchasable.

I was actively playing the game at the time.

I originally got the pop up for the Spirit R and Sentra on Tuesday, but I didn’t think anything of it. I then got it around the same time as the autumn change, before having them actually unlock for me about 8 or so hours ago.

The Sentra isn’t for me personally, bit of a boring car with an average body kit on it. The Spirit R is a ripper though, very happy to have it back. Looks so much better than the 97’ model that has been in every game.

You can map the controller on your Xbox S in the system settings.

I use default everything, but I select the option to switch the clutch and e_brake in FH4 settings, so A is the clutch, LB is e-brake.
Pressing A and B to shift up, and A and X to shift down was probably the easiest adjustment.

If you're new to the xbox controller, you just have to give yourself time to adjust. It was very frustrating for a little while, probably moreso due to also adjusting to new physics.

The triggers for gas and brake become better and better as time passes, I'm still getting better with them after a year and a half, but they're more precise for me than probably any controller configuration I've ever used now.

Edit: Also, if you haven't done so already, the default deadzones for steering, gas and braking are something like 15-85, setting them to 0-100 removes a lot of delay.

I did not know that, regarding the controller mapping. I'll have to try to that, thank you. I probably won't use the clutch, at least for now. I have enough to get used to, haha (besides just the physics and controller, there's a whole bunch of game knowledge I lack - what builds a good car for the class, or even what cars are good period). If I can map the shifting to A-X and the E-brake to the RB, I'll be happy with that.

Of course, I'm going to give it time to mesh. I started re-using a controller only a few months ago, after using the steering wheel for a long time. It's definitely a difficult transition. The triggers on the XBOne controller do seem good, but they're a bit softer than I'd like. I'm sure the more delicate touch will come with experience.

I did set the deadzones to 0 for the steering, gas and brake. It did help the responsiveness (for the steering especially), but it still doesn't seem very good on the XBOne vs. PC. Though it doesn't seem particularly great on either. I suppose I'm just going to have to live with it for a while longer and see how I feel later.

Thanks again for the tips.

^^^ Another video with the wobbly chase cam. (I can't get on with arcade view and use the dash/cockpit on any game if it has the option)

Out of interest which views do all you guys use as default cam on FH4 ? Arcade or Sim style? Controller or Wheel?

I swap around more in this game than I have previously. Keeping the framerate at 60fps makes it easier for me to do cockpit (I never feel comfortable in it at 30), but if I'm hunting down boards or barns, or just exploring, I'll keep it in third person. I'll also tend to leave it there for streaming: people seem to prefer being able to see the car, which I can understand.

Have only used the wheel a bit.

I had several Forzathon Live events where there were very few people, even before the price change for the wheelspins. The lowest was just three and the other two bailed. I managed to get the first objective on my own but that was it.

I had a few last night where it was just me and a couple of other cars, that was real late though. This morning the ones that I have done, have been packed.

I think the max amount of people I have seen in a Horizon Life session was around 55 people? for the most part, the average is around 30-40, maybe 45 people every once in a while.
Hm, I see.

I think I've figured out why I keep getting into low-player sessions and why we never get into a full session, btw. 'Cause every time you start a solo event, it disconnects you from that session. And when you finish the solo event, it connects you to another session instead of the same one from before. Which is probably why the statuses in the player list never seem to go beyond "in Horizon Life" and "car select."

Seems they got a lot of launch issues to work out, really. One of them also being the daily Drivatar payout, 'cause I'm not getting any the past few days.
