How do you make a house your default home when you start up the game?

On the map it says simply go to the house you want, but I always start up the game in Kingfisher Cottage.

I think you have to drive to the house you want to be your default, and it'll ask if you want to make it your new default. Not aware of any other way to do it.

I can't use or buy the Touareg in sports utility hero races, is this a bug?
I feel like the Touareg was meant to have an off-road kit as well. All of the off-road conversion cars have a rim size option to actually shrink the rims to make the tires higher profile. Even though the Touareg does not have an off-road kit, it still has the option to shrink the rims. Makes me wonder if they were planning on having one but then scrapped it.

It only asks you this when you first buy the house

edit: you press Y at your house

Ok, I found the ultimate money farm method. Ok, maybe some of you already know. Ok, it is also boring AF, but not require any Auction House. It could also be patched in near future.
1. Grab your fastest skill earning car and go to the airport or anywhere (it really doesn't matter much). Chain your skills until you reach 500k (it's 10 skill points - the max you can bank). Do so until you have 200 points (it should take you less than 30 minutes.
2. Go to the Auto Showroom and buy 10 Nissans Fairlady Z432 or 10 Porscha 911 Turbo 3.3 (both 150k)
3. Go to Car Mastery and unlock the 300.000 bonus cash and the wheelspin (20 points)
4. Do this for a total of 200 points you already collected and you will have 1.500.000 credits and 10 wheelspins in about 40 minutes.

You can also try your luck on the AH. Search for the MGA MGB or the Triumph Spitfire(those are really cheap 30k max). But than you could also get the cars with the perks already unlocked.

Anyone know what the deal is with the fuzziness of liveries up close? It was in FH3 too, but not in FM7, so I assumed it was just a bug that would be fixed in this one. And I've heard they are the same on PC, regardless of settings?

Is there a reason for it? Have PG/T10 acknowledged or explained it?

Just drive to it and the cinematic of the finding of the car will kick in.
Driven to a couple of barns, noting seems to happen. Am I supposed to initiate something or drive to a specific spot at the barn? Also how do I change my car license plate wording?

Exactly, the barn will be somewhere in purple circles that appear over the map.
I did once though, told me about a barn, drove there but dont know what to do when I get there.

Also wish when I have to drive to a race there would be people racing me like on HZ2 and want to change wording on license plate?

Drive around (or use the drone) until you find a ramshackle building that has a curved top. Once you drive close enough a cut scene will trigger unveiling the car you’ve found.

to add to what @Northstar said its this building

It's been a problem for years now. Apparently the fuzziness and pixelated nature of liveries at close up range wasn't a problem on Xbox One X / PC versions of both FH3 and FM7, but if it is showing up on PC too, then that's just hilarious.

In fozavista, go round the back of the car until an icon shows up at the license plate, and push RT (default button for throttle)

And when I try to do an even with real racers I never get any so assume that is the way for everybody?

Thanks CSLACR - No Forzavista, only Forza Hub

Too many icons on the map, dont know what I should be doing first, etc.

Regarding good and bad cars, I just pick ones that I like and make it happen.
Tuning (building, moreso) is pretty fun, the top piece of advice I can give you is to not focus on power too much.
Oh, and wide tires > tire compound upgrades.
Racing suspension makes off-road a nightmare, transmission upgrades can even lower your cars rating while boosting performance. Always check the transmission options first.

Those are some good tips I think. Especially about the tires. There are a lot of cars to work with, hopefully I'll find something that'll be decent in time. I'm still not that great at actually driving. I did see that some transmission options lowered the PI on the Civic I had, but then I didn't apply it because I believed the game. Believing in the game is a mistake apparently.

It's just as fuzzy on PC with everything cranked up.

The car models are also a step down from FM7. Just take a look at the Lotus 340R in gameplay. There's a little mesh on the rear deck where you can see into the engine bay in 3rd person. In FM7, everything inside is fully 3D modeled (even in gameplay) but in FH4, it's just a hilariously low quality 2D texture.

You have to wait until you get a call about a barn find rumor, then head to the one inside the purple circle on the map. Most of them will come up as time goes on, but four are tied to a specific season and one requires you to buy Bamburgh Castle to make it show up.

Any try or knew about this? It does work but don’t know if it’s gonna be patched or not.

I decided to give this a try and now I have a big problem. My OG XBox won't start the game if the console is offline. And now it won't open up settings so I can get it back online. So I'm in a Catch-22. I need to be online to open up settings so I can go back online so I can open up settings.

The more I play, the more the world feels utterly empty.

The game is out for a week now and I've still never been dropped into a session with more than 20 players, it's always somewhere in the teens, so I basically never see another driver unless it's Forzathon Live, after which they all immediately disappear.

There's also a lot less traffic in the game (seems to scale to the number of players), traffic which has a habit of just disappearing altogether when the online session gets iffy. I actually had trouble finding traffic cars required for some of the Forzathon challenges.

I think as long as you uninstall the vip pass offline it works, you have to quit the game too not just by backing out to the home screen, I haven’t had any issues stating the game offline on my old Xbox yet. Also that glitch is more of a super wheelspin glitch than a actual money glitch, I’ve gotten mostly clothing and emotes and a few good cars from that.

That’s weird, unless it’s really late at night, most of the sessions I’m in have 30+ people at least. Most of the times it’s 45+.

As far as the game traffic, I like how it is now. I always thought there was way too much traffic in the other horizon games. Plus it’s super cool that they ghost when you do speed zones and drift zones now.

This is my first Forza game, so apologies if this has been answered already -

I wasn't able to get the 2019 911 GT3 RS in time, I'm assuming the only other way to get it will be through the auction house or a wheelspin? I'm assuming it would be the same for this week's Ferrari as well if I miss it too?

If anyone has one they'd want to sell, let me know.

They’ve been really good in the last few games about giving people multiple chances to get a car. Especially since the Porsche was early, I’m sure you’ll get another chance to get it . Same with the Ferrari.

The only cars that don’t usually come back around, are the unicorns they give in the Motorsports games for beating a set time in a rivals event.

Forzathon live is a bust, had one player besides me in my recent one, second forzathon live that I’ve “failed” got 20 points instead of 30.

Forzathon Live seems to be a "feast or famine" thing (The one I did tonight had lots of people, granted they had issues staying inside the speed zone). Hopefully they'll change it to adjust each round's goal to fit the number or participants.
