Lynk&Co 03+ is a street-legal high-performance sedan while 03 TCR is a legit racecar. Shame we can't get 03+/03 Cyan in the game.

Did anyone manage to complete Stay Frosty? Maybe it's just a Xbone issue but it doesn't work for me.
The funny thing is that the game recognize the snow and the location. Just not both at the same time. 🤣

Lol that’s a seriously funny bug. 😅

I found something else that was supposed to be fixed, see the clip below, the Jag XJ13 cockpit view is still way too dark in some cases. @ManteoMax

New:
AUD_RS3Sedan_20

New (but likely not for FH5):
LYN_62_03TCR_20
MOS_00_MT900GT3_06

Already known, but now have wheel textures, and are likely getting closer to release:
AUD_RS4Avant_18
AUD_RS5_18
BMW_M8_20
FOR_SVTLightning_03
MIN_JCWGP_21
TOY_4RunnerTRDPro_19
TOY_TacomaTRDPro_19
TOY_TundraTRDPro_20
Damn those are all so cool! The 3 TRD trucks are epic, more new Audis is always nice, especially those ones. The M8 is probably my favorite BMW of late times, the Mini is bloody quick, and the Ford SVT Lightning is just epic. Can't wait to drive them all!!

Finding out what country the cars are scanned can be determined by:
  • Different bumpers fit for specific regions.
  • Having North American amber bumper markers or not.
  • LHD or RHD.
  • KM/H or MPH.
  • Name of vehicle, as some cars have different names in different regions.
Well if we list the full monthy then the gearbox needs to be added as well. ☺️ Some markets have different gearboxes than others, for example 5 vs 6 speed or manual vs automatic transmissions.

That's also assuming that the same car was used for exterior and interior, and that's the same car that they intended to portray and that the manufacturer wanted them to portray. I don't know if it's still the same, but the 2000 Honda Integra Type-R for example used to have an interior and engine from a 1996 car, plus Acura gearing and tyres.

That’s a bug that’s been with the game from Day One. I’m hoping it gets fixed sooner rather than later.

I suspect they deleted wheelspin perk in a lot of cars, but I didn't have time to check. If it's true then it is a bit said, because this is the main reason to earn those points in the first place, at least for me.

I know of the bug. But since they even mentioned about fixing this very bug during the Live (also the patch notes) I tried it today but it's still bugged for me. That is why I asked. Maybe others completed it after the latest patch.

Oh, I see. I didn’t realized they said they patched it.

While driving through the central Horizon outpost a few minutes ago, I got a message saying I had just discovered the 57th of 56 landmarks. I have no idea if that means a new landmark has been added, or the main Horizon hub is being counted twice or…?

Same for me yesterday!

I have a question. Why does the game INSIST on giving me the Volvo V60 Polestar 6-7 TIMES on the wheelspins? I got rid of it around 3-4 times, and it keeps coming back in to the wheelspins and giving me it back. Why?

So many, many cars have lost wheelspin perk. Damn.

And while using the 900+ points I suddenly have and unlocking wheelspins with xp boosts... In 3 wheelspins I won.... Wait for it.... 2000C, 2000C and, just after I moaned to my daughter about this, 1000C.

HahahabuggeroffHahaha

At least before this update, Wheelspin tended to give you priority over cars you didn't currently own.
If this program has not been fixed, you may have re-enabled this flag by getting rid of your Volvo.

Also, considering that they nerfed the wheelspin prizes in this update, it is possible that the winning rate of the Volvo itself, a less rare and cheaper car, has also increased.

I'm glad I grinded early and got every non paid DLC vehicle in the game now that the wheelspin rewards are reduced and it is harder to get wheelspins. I was randomly able to use the paid DLC vehicles for a few minutes today though I don't know why but I'll take whatever I can get. Also I can finally take part in the story missions that wouldn't unlock before for no good reason but now that I have all vehicles the only reason to do so is for Accolades which I don't care about.
None of the upcoming DLC vehicles interest me much and it doesn't seem like the Tour races will ever change or Open races have multiple options at once. With that and GT7 coming out soon I doubt I will play much if at all for awhile.

I've seen tons of people on the Forza Forums claiming this game is dead because they severely nerfed wheelspins. Honestly? It doesn't really affect me much since I almost have every car in the game (minus the cars they add every month and that Ferrari 250 California), but I can kinda see people's frustration. What do you guys think? Is FH5 dead in the water because you can't grind wheelspins for free anymore?

Not because of the wheelspins being removed. I'm on the fence at this point, I played FH4 a lot until just before FH5 was released and they stopped releasing new cars. I'd play once or twice a week to complete the playlist to get the cars and then move on.

I'm doing the same thing now with FH5. I wouldn't say it's dead in the water, but I'm not playing it near as much as I have previous titles.

For start what is a dead game? To me a game that has 50000+ new accounts register every day, devs releasing new contents and continuing to support the game with fixes is far from being dead. But sure, if I stopped playing today than this game would be dead to me.
I'm still playing this game every single day and will probably play it for years. I'm having fun and this is really the only thing that matters to me. If others want to play other games instead so be it. If there were other games that could replace Horizon for me I would definitely be interested. But I can't see anything beside FH6 so I will stay here.
GT7 is going to be huge, no doubt... but still, it doesn't interest me much. Definitely not enough to justify a purchase of the PS5. Others? Grid is promising but will I play it more than a month or two? After that?
So yeah, even if I wanted, there's no place to go for me.

You mean youre going to have to race in a race based game to get cars and credits, the horror! As a side note the Forza Forums and Reddit are whiners paradise, majority of what is said on either should go in on ear and out the other.

The racing in this game is the weakest part of it, and clearly the part where the least care and attention has been made by the devs. That's the problem.

While I agree that there are a ton of whiners on the Forza forums, there are a few legitimate issues that haven't been fixed. I'm not concerned about the removal of wheelspins from skill trees as I wasn't farming them and only used the cars I had and didn't buy 10-15 of the same car just for the wheelspins, but there are some definite things that should have been prioritized, like accolades not working or being unobtainable or the glitched leaderboards. I know the leaderboards have been mentioned and addressed, but they either are taking a while to fix or aren't a priority.

On the flip side, there are a few cases of people whining about the removal of spins from the skill trees that complained about them being there in the first place, so it really is darned if you do and darned if you don't over there.

I feel that the real concerns get buried by all of the whine threads, which is I why I requested a conversation with Max. I'm not expecting a response, but if I get the chance I'll voice my concerns and try to filter through the crap.

It seems fine enough for what it is.

WRT the removal of wheelspins from car mastery trees, and as someone who (unabashedly) grinded for wheelspins to get the cars he wanted at launch, I don't really care. It sucks for those who wanted an easy way to get cars, but it was clear that it was getting to be ridiculous how easy (and honestly, how acceptable the game seemed towards it) it was to get all the cars if you were willing to grind it in. And it's not like the game is skimping on cars in general gameplay either, it just removes the easiest way to do things.

Offline, the AI is worse than ever in FH5 and needs a complete rewrite from the ground up. My opinion: these devs with Mike Brown in charge will never do it.

Online, there is no ranked, no custom lobbies and the game no longer even keeps track of how many races you won in your stats. They also removed split times from races, a further dumbing from all previous Horizons. On PC, Eliminator apparently still has the freezing bug which they introduced with the last big patch, a major flaw which puts PC users at a significant disadvantage.

The online gameplay also needs a complete overhaul, again something that these devs are either not capable of doing and/or I don't believe care about doing.

Was this posted here yet? It is another example of how the game's netcode is cobbled together.

There are two problems with removed wheelspin.

The first is that the prize money for the race is small. Not to mention that some of the cars are expensive, and let's not forget about the upgrade costs.
For example, if you upgrade your car with an AWD conversion, engine swap, or turbo addition, and move up a couple of car classes from factory stock, it is not uncommon for the cost to exceed 100,000 Cr.
And this is not a deliberate way to do high-cost upgrades; it is something that many players often do.
And in contrast, the Cr I get for an average race is about 20,000-30,000 Cr in my case.
This may not be a problem for players like us who already had enough cr, but it is a big problem for players who are short of cr.
If they were going to make this fix, they should have increased the cr we get from races accordingly.

And the second problem is that many of the cars are wheelspin exclusives.
The only way to get these cars outside of the AH was through Wheelspin, and that was the reason people accumulated skill points.
However, with the loss of wheelspin from mastery on many cars, it becomes even more difficult.

Something should be done to compensate for this, such as selling these wheelspin exclusives more aggressively in the Forzathon Shop, or offering them as playlist rewards.

Perhaps this fiasco will be back to normal next month, but the haphazard way they have been handling things since the release makes it look like a mess, as if their entire live service team has been fired and replaced by new members.

I think they need to hire more QA team to check for game balance and bugs by doing test play on real consoles, with the same software and accounts as regular players, instead of test play on developer versions of the software and development servers.

I agree that the biggest source of income should be from racing. After all, it is a racing game. However the rewards for racing need to be increased accordingly. The rewards should be good enough to allow you to purchase a moderately expensive car, within a reasonable play session. I would say a 1.5 to 2 million credit car should be attainable in about 1 to 2 hours of gameplay, maximum.

New:
AUD_RS3Sedan_20

New (but likely not for FH5):
LYN_62_03TCR_20
MOS_00_MT900GT3_06

Already known, but now have wheel textures, and are likely getting closer to release:
AUD_RS4Avant_18
AUD_RS5_18
BMW_M8_20
FOR_SVTLightning_03
MIN_JCWGP_21
TOY_4RunnerTRDPro_19
TOY_TacomaTRDPro_19
TOY_TundraTRDPro_20
I am going to do a bit of wishful thinking here: the RS4 Avant, RS5, M8 and Mini JCW GP could be next month's pass cars, while the SVT Lightning and the three Toyotas could be seasonal rewards. It would definitely have a theme of some sort, plus the first quartet of cars looks exactly like what I'd expect to find in the season pass to start with.

I'm also starting to get #hyped for the next season of the TORA TCC, with all those TCR cars that showed up with the latest datamines...

You should be able to purchase cars in the first place -- cars like the Subaru 22B, AE86, or FC RX-7. If not that, I would make them unlockable as a specific permanent offline reward for an event, or a hidden reward like a barn find, and not make you go digging for said rewards in walls of trite achivement tiles.

Imagine being able to just play the game how you please, and plan out buying/unlocking the cars you want at a reasonable pace. Instead of wheelspins filling your garage with modern SUVs and luxury sedans you won't drive and have deleted a dozen times already, all the hypercars and offroaders you need to complete everything given to you for free, and all you want is that RX-7.

This game practically unlocks and finishes itself for you, then makes busywork out of getting what you really want, on top of racing gameplay that hardly even qualifies as mediocre. It's insane.
