The thing that is most irritating is that some people are taking the effort creating some really fun and impressive things through the eventlab but PG would prefer to highlight garbage like this week for no good reason... (Other than because a semi-popular youtuber made it)

I did the Eventlab last night. I wholeheartedly agree with the comments on here, it's bloody awful. Terrible track, terrible choice of car and the fact the AI can't finish the lap is ridiculous.

I was watching AR12 Nick's stream and he was surprised to see his track there. He said this was made in december, his first try and it is not great. They could have chosen way better ones he created since then.

I saw that video too, and question why PG couldn't have just chosen his other tracks that were updated/better. Although, in spite of that, at least it was a quick and easy completion hehehe!

I already didn’t like AR12 Nick for a variety of reasons. His EventLab creation has not helped sway that opinion in his favour.
To be fair, he mentioned in a recent video that this was his first ever track, created back in December 2021, and he apologized while having no clue why PG chose it.

Also, like others I'm really happy for the DBX. Horizon is the perfect place to mess around with silly expensive SUVs and this one fits right in. Now if only they would get us the Cullinan :D

As I suspected, the VW Pickup is a fun vehicle to play around with. I’ve built a racer that I’ve used to win B-class online racing series.

I’ve built an A-class rally truck. (Only mid-pack so far, but I’m working on it.)

A drifter. (I suck at drifting, but this is still fun to toss around.)

It’s even fun totally stock.

And yes, I put wood-grain paneling on them. It’s from 1982 after all.

Very nice bud. You've beaten me to wood panels on the van, I'm still messing about trying to do something I like with a wood panel design.

Hey all. I'm curious to see peoples opinion of the FH5 Car Pass now that it has finished
My feelings are mixed. I felt as if the car pass was too heavily populated by upgraded versions of cars already in the game (Huracan EVO, XJ220S TWR, Subaru S209, FXX-K EVO, RC-F Track Edition, TT-RS, McLaren 620R, 2019 Golf R, 370Z Nismo, 911 Speedster). I do think these cars belong in the game, but frankly, having them as paid content when Festival Playlist exists seems a little bit of a letdown to me.

I also think that the theming of covering certain manufacturers was odd too. The Audi RS3 and TT-RS, while I love them both, are remarkably similar, so I think it's odd they put both in the car pass. I also felt that they have been leaning WAY too much on Ferrari this time around...in all aspects. The new Ferraris are great, but they're making such a big deal of adding Ferraris through Festival Playlist that were in FH4 and should have been in FH5 from the getgo.

That's a theme I'm seeing regularly here...PG is adding cars through Festival Playlist that should have been and could have been in the game from day 1.

There are plenty of highlights in the car pass though that save it. The DBX, JCW GP, F150 SVT Lightning, Cyclone Spoiler, Olds Toronado, Dodge Magnum, VW Caddy, all the Toyotas, Lambo Espada, MG X Power, Noble M400, M8 Comp, Jag XJ13, Renault 8 Gordini, and pretty much everything else are prime car pass picks and all have been at the top of my list for a good while. The ones that are not just upgraded models are very good picks that honestly save this car pass. The fact that the 911 Sport Classic is the only non-new-to-Forza model in the pass is an added plus. And, even though I question the reliance on certain manufacturers, the Audis, Toyotas, and frankly the new Ferraris too were good options to pad out the car list a bit.

TL;DR, many of the car pass cars should have been Festival Playlist cars; many of the Festival Playlist cars should have been in the game from the getgo. Forza Horizon 5 has probably the weakest launch car list in the series since FM5 (in my opinion), and 7 months later, I still think it's still quite weak overall. The Car Pass, while having some good picks, doesn't scratch that itch quite all the way for me.

Hey all. I'm curious to see peoples opinion of the FH5 Car Pass now that it has finished.
Cant see any reason to buy it, other than as free addition to expansions:
1)I don't understand why PG adding so much actually new cars with Playlist updates and so many refreshes with Carpass. I am not saying its a bad thing, just don't make sense.
2)FH4 Car pass was 41+FDPack, FH5 is 41 including FDPack. Not that great.
3)Why they keep adding trims for existing generations of cars and ignoring obvious choices like GenII/GenV1/2 Mustang, 901 Porsche and Gallardo Gen1?
4)There are some great additions like Magnum, XJ13, DBX, new Ferraris and M8.

Hey all. I'm curious to see peoples opinion of the FH5 Car Pass now that it has finished.
To answer the most simple question: do I feel that it was worth the money: yes I do :)

Could it have been better? Of course. But Playground/Turn10 always need to find a balance. My main thing is that I would have probably preferred to have 'normal' cars instead of those 8 Formula Drift cars. Maybe a couple more classic cars instead.

Some of my standout favourites are the Ferrari J50 (I know it's a rebodied 488 Spider, but it looks so good..), Jaguar XJ13, Lamborghini Espada, MG X Power SV, Noble M400 and the only returning car: the 911 Sport Classic.

In addition, for me DLC also has the purpose of keeping a car list somewhat up to date and the car pass definitely delivered on that front with the Aston Martin DBX, the 3 Audis, BMW M8, Huracan Evo and the Toyotas just to name a few.

All in all, I have to say they did well.

Hey all. I'm curious to see peoples opinion of the FH5 Car Pass now that it has finished.
In my opinion a Car Pass DLC should be something optional that doesn't force players into buying it. And I think they did a good job in FH5. You don't miss much if you don't buy it but you still get enough for the money if you get it.

Actually the Pass is very similar to the entire FH5 experience. It has a lot of cool things but overall it feels similar to content we already can experience. And with the HW expansion this trend continues.

Despite all this I think FH5 Car Pass is the best one I paid in Forza games so far.

Overall I'm fairly happy with the car pass selection.

Favorites (as in, these I actually use a lot):

Audi RS3
Audi RS5
Audi TT RS
BMW M8
Jaguar XJ220S TWR
Jaguar XJ13
Lamborghini Huracan EVO
Lamborghini Espada 400 GT
MG X Power SV
Porsche 911 Speedster
Porsche 911 Sport Classic
Renault 8 Gordini

Dislike:

Ferrari Monza SP2
Ferrari FXX K EVO
Ferrari #25 Corse Clienti 488 Challenge
Ferrari J50
Forsberg Racing Nissan “SafariZ” 370Z Safari Rally Tribute (add couple lights, paint the hood black and call it a Safari Rally tribute?)
Day One DLC

Others were more or less ok. Some were great additions, such as the F-150 SVT Lightning and Magnum SRT8, but just didn't get all that much use after all.

Still looking forward to test the Aston Martin DBX and Lexus RC-F Track Edition.

The content of this Car Pass literally fills in the gaps that Forza has when it comes to car selection. Although a lot of them are mostly cars from the past 6 years, there is still a bunch of good additions that no racing games for the past 5 years even tried to put in, like the Dodge Magnum and Volkswagen Pickup LX. TAA is worse than no AA so I won't ever be using that.

As for the latest update datamining, I think the pictures of the Hot Wheels map are already out there so I won't bother putting them here. I can't see anything too interesting in the files besides the fact they've added some new sounds for the HW cars (and what seems to be a new recording specific to the Nismo 370Z), and a couple of pics that will be used in the UI on both games. The Schuppan is the only car I really care about in this DLC so it was nice to see a couple of in-game shots in there:

The Car Pass was pretty underwhelming for me. I have almost zero interest in supercars/exotics and it seemed like they focused more on that than anything else. Of the interesting cars they put on the list, I was pretty disappointed with the customization options they offered for them.

Unless Forza Horizon 6 takes a wildly different direction, I think I might hold off on the series for a bit.

For the Car Pass here my tierlist. A lot of my favourites are added in this Car Pass, especially the XJ13, the SP2, the M8, the 323 and some niche supercars like the X-POWER and the Noble 400... lots of goodies.

It really heavily depends on the implementation. Car Mechanic Simulator? Terrible. Gran Turismo 7? Really good. FH5 lands comfortably just below or right next to GT7 in my opinion.
GT7 still has extremely visible artefacts from TAA, there’s pretty much no way to get a clean image from it. As far as I’m concerned there is no good TAA.

Love the discussion on the car pass, have to say I agree with a lot of the points being made, especially around slight car variants being added, too many Audis/Ferraris/FD cars etc. Still better than FH4's car pass IMO.

Anyway, Series 10 in FH5 will be called Horizon X

I wonder what new race branding is about, I assume something to do with Hot Wheels.
