Giant Canyons sounds a lot like Nurse Gladys Emmanuel to me 🤔
[/QUOTE]

You can't beat a good few minutes of the good nurse Gladys leaning out her window....😜😜

I've been experiencing this annoying glitch on the PC version over the past few days, where it's impossible to navigate menus with controllers as a single button press on the D-pad or a nudge of the left stick is treated as at least 3/4 presses. Is anyone else suffering this?
I'm on Steam, Not come across this myself.

I've had that happen to me once last night. I would just close and reopen the pause menu and it fixed itself

I hope we get more info on Forza Monthly, they didn't show or reveal much in the extended showcase. The map does look huge, with a good amount of elevation too.

One thing that had me wondering is Series 9 is Horizon Academy and includes Horizon Nexus, according to the preview we have in the playlist (last tab). PG has mentioned the Hotwheels Academy as the campaign for the DLC and Nexus as the festival site, but the DLC doesn't come out until July 19th which would be Series 10. And the DLC couldn't be the main theme of the playlist anyway.

So are Academy and Nexus new features for the main game as well? Are we getting some kind of new campaign in Series 9?

It would be cool, but the realist (read: pessimist) in me thinks it'll probably just be some seasonal events with Hot Wheels 'lore' in the descriptions. At the most, I'd expect to see some HW themed items around the map and maybe a new variant of the stunt park at the stadium, but who knows.

N-n-n-nurse Emmanuel did you say?

Edit - Short gameplay footage from DJS video just posted, Also points out some other details.

For those who haven't seen the Don Joewon Song video yet, here are a couple new images that were in his video (at least I think they're new.) The fender flares on the Bronco are new, suggesting there might be new body parts for other cars in the game.

I’m not too sure about that.

They look like the factory fenders and I believe DJS did acknowledge that slip up in his latest video via the video chapter names. :P

But hey, the previous HW Expansion did give us the HW Redline tyres as an upgrade so anything’s possible. ;)

From the raw gameplay. I noticed that there is a new Drum & Bass track (probably will also be on Hospital Records Radio). It's probably either from Metrik or Urbandawn.
This is one of the things I love about new expansions, all the new dialogue on the radio. I can't wait to hear Chris Goss and Degs freaking out about the new Hot Wheels events.

I dont mind the music in FH5 but i still prefer personally to mute the music and play my own from Spotify in the background. Would be nice if games would bring back the custom radio playlists like GTA and a few others used to have. On PC it Shouldn't be too hard to just have a blank radio station space in the game files and to allow people to just add their own audio files into that folder.

Again it doesn't matter a great deal because Spotify exists but I still like the idea and think it would be a nice touch especially in a game like Horizon.

I noticed this week in the Accolade Hall of Fame that FH5 has now passed 20 million unique users. The Gamepass effect is immense, but since FH5 is a 100GB download you still have to be committed to trying it properly if you are willing to spend the download time and SSD space on it.

So, will Hot Wheels noticeably increase the player base, being a paid add-on? Probably not... but I do expect Gamepass players who enjoyed the game so far to be tempted into buying the premium add-on.

What do you guys think?

Speaking of Accolades, I've just caught my Accolade Points in the act of changing...

They appeared to be increasing without any change in the numbers of Accolades I'd earned, but I wasn't sure. So I took a screenshot and...
No idea what causes it, but that would explain why the players at the very top of the Accolade ranking have totals that seem to keep slowly increasing. I always assumed they just used cheats (since I don't think all the accolades could legitimately be earned quite yet, just due to how recently the game came out; could be wrong though), but it's a partial explanation at least.

Eh, pretty weak selection for the last car pass batch.
Watch the first paid car pack be a bunch of the highly requested Mexican domestic market oddities (Tsuru, VAM Lerma, last-gen Ramcharger, etc.) that should have shipped with the game...

The article on Forza.net detailing the Hot Wheels expansion has received an interesting edit...

Editor’s Note: We incorrectly stated that the 2019 Italdesign DaVinci Concept is included in Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels. Instead, the 1993 Schuppan 962CR is coming in the expansion. We have corrected this in the article.

Sounds like the last minute negotiations to get the Italdesign in the game fell through. Explains why they never released a photo of it or showed it in gameplay.

Second-gen Plymouth Barracuda and Dodge Super Bee returning as Series 9 rewards, as are the 2-JET-Z and HW Nash Metropolitan from the FH4 car pack.

Edit: HW Mustang, Rip Rod and Ford Dually are added to the wheelspin prize rotation.
These all make me very happy.

While it's disappointing we're not getting the DaVinci (it looked super interesting to me), please let the 962CR be the concept version and not the production model. If it's the latter, may as well have hunted down Dauer and used theirs. At least the rear end is a bit more unique.

But that's just me being a car weirdo.
