On the most recent episode of Donut Media's Past Gas, James announces that Donut Media is teaming up with Forza for an upcoming Forza Horizon 5 Donut DLC in September. James mentions the DLC will feature the Hi-Lo cars and Money Pit cars. James, Jeremiah, Nolan, Joe, Jobe, and Justin are in the game as in-game characters. The announcement occurs at 52:00.
It probably will be just a Horizon Story with new cars.Donut Media.... OK I guess. Not my cup of tea or my brand of humor but as long as it's fun to play...
EDIT: After further reflection, there's a possibility this won't be the big second DLC for the game but just a Horizon Story. I doubt they're creating an entire environment -just- for Donut Media, but I could see something like FH4 Top Gear.
For the sprint race, increasing your final gear ratio for top speed helps a lot. I manage to overtake most of the car by the time I reach the bottom of the mountain and won the race.Any advice? Am I the only one who found it difficult?

This worked. 2nd, 1st and 2nd got me the championship by 2 points, thanks. For the sprint race, increasing your final gear ratio for top speed helps a lot. I manage to overtake most of the car by the time I reach the bottom of the mountain and won the race.
As for the 2 circuit events, ram the AI to overtake them then rewind and block them to keep your position until you are at the podium. Pretty much just use whatever dirty trick you can.

It really is a pig, especially in the lower gears with the default ratios. I shortened first through fourth and it woke up a fair bit.
I'm genuinely impressed so far. Just wish it wasn't quite so easy to bonk the walls and scrub speed and/or kill your skill chain. Oh, and some actual Hot Wheels wheel designs would have been cool.
Agree with this one, also why is the circuit race for the extreme e only one lap? This advice may be unnecessary since it seems to have already been resolved, but since the Extreme E event is still going on, I have my own strategy.
First, I suggest that you prepare two different tunes or two cars with different tunes.
The two tunes can have the same differential and spring set-up, but it is important to change the gear ratios significantly.
Extreme E machines, like many other EVs, only have single speed gearboxes. This makes it difficult to achieve both acceleration and top speed.
I have adjusted the final gear ratio to provide a 210 km/h type tune for circuit racing and a 250-60 km/h tune for sprint racing.
And the next step is how to run.
The Extreme E machine is heavy and large, but its driving characteristics are very similar to Buggy/ATV.
Therefore, the impact of contact with obstacles and deceleration in the water is significant. They are also vulnerable to Gs in corners, and their lines tend to bulge outward.
So when racing with this car, take a line that avoids contact with obstacles as much as possible, and choose the area with the widest land section and shallowest water depth at water spots.
And in corners, slow down early and compact the line to prevent the line from bulging too much and to counter the cheat grip of the AI.
Well, even then, the rubberbanding of the FH5 AI is inconsistent in its difficulty, so sometimes you have to restart and wait for an "easier" AI to come out.
It's a complete speculation with no basis in fact, but based on the extreme, even extreme, balancing they are doing with FH5, I think it's probably the result of their response to feedback that there are "too many laps".Agree with this one, also why is the circuit race for the extreme e only one lap?
The historic barn finds too make sense, although IDK if that Beast of Turin could make it, considering that Playground may have not really acquired licenses from FCA, Italy. If that's the case, a possible Playlist reward that be that of barn find rumors (like what FH3 did with the AMC Pacer X and Porsche 550) if these barn finds are added eventually. Let's see what Playground has to say by Aug. 15/16 in Forza Monthly. It has to be the leaked barn finds right? All three are historic (Hurst shifter, Beast of Turin and the 288 gto Evoluzione).
BUT if the Donut story is also coming then they would not mesh well for the same theme. It would need to lean towards street cars + donut story.
Then again they made the current series electric (with all electric challenges and tons of extreme E races) and the put fire breathing porsches as the 20 pt reward for Waxhaw season. So I don't think theme consistency is what they prioritize.
ALSO plz gib m6gt and the Pantera. I have been waiting since fh4.
It has to be the leaked barn finds right? All three are historic (Hurst shifter, Beast of Turin and the 288 gto Evoluzione).Hmm... IDK what Rami's Racing History would mean for Series 11, but I'll speculate.
Either this would be a street-racing (tuner-centered?) update, knowing that Rami's not only our loveable Horizon Mexico route creator, but a popular street racer in Guanajuato, when it comes to Horizon 5 Lore, or a historic racing-car update. Plus a possible return of Tom "Tommy Bargains" Butcher, giving us Forzathon shop discounts, and speed zones.
Should this be a street-racing centric update, JDM cars like the Mitsubishi FTO, Honda CR-X Del Sol, Honda Civic EM1 Si, or some tuners last seen in Motorsport 4 may potentially appear in the Playlist. If not, it may be related to Rami teaching us about classic racing cars/history of racing, either classic LM cars that should have been in Motorsport or more classic rally icons via the Festival Playlist. I'll list down a lot of possible historic racing cars seen in past Forza games, but were not in FH5, as well as some previously-leaked classic racing cars that can come if Rami's Racing History = Rami teaching FH5 Players about the history of racing (clear speculation):

I personally think the Rivian is absolutely stunning in every way, there ain’t an angle that I don’t find it gorgeous from and I love it.I'm happy we don't have the Rivian, that front end offends my eyes on oh so many levels 😂😂😂
I saw it in an episode of Top Gear with Freddie driving it. Admittedly he did say it drove really well and he did like it, but that front end!!!! I'm sorry, it's just not for me.I personally think the Rivian is absolutely stunning in every way, there ain’t an angle that I don’t find it gorgeous from and I love it.
If I don’t include the Etron for obvious bias, then the Rivian as well as the Lucid Air and Hummer EV are my top 3 EV wishes for the game.
Yeah they’re pretty awful. 1 lap races where you start 8th and the lap is under 1 minute.Did anyone notice the Extreme E cross country circuit races were only 1 lap races?
PG posted on Reddit that it was a mistake.
It feels like it’s missing audio. They’re silent when they actually have an electric whine like like formula e or even the electric mustang already in there.I personally don't mind the races. I think they're kinda fun. I just wish I had a louder motor sound like the other EVs
The sound is there, it's just very quiet. If you turn down all other sounds except engine you can hear it. I'm guessing it will be patched at some point. It feels like it’s missing audio. Mine unlocked when I still hadn't found 2 of the roads (which I later found soon after). Think this happened in the main game as well. You must be unlucky or maybe it's platform specific (XSX player here). So I can’t find the last road in hot wheels. There’s not even that many of them. It unlocks the Hennessy Venom F5.
They know these driving on all roads stats have issues, which is why they unlock the achievement one road early.
That first championship was a toughie but it was less frustrating for me than the fake Hot Wheels EventLab they posted last month. At least with this one I could rewind and wait for the AI to make a mistake.I didn't mind the one lap race, makes it more of a challenge, especially the one in the city. You really have to get the one lap done perfectly. I get that there's backlash every time they try seasonal events that are harder but I think there is a chunk of the player base who would prefer harder events. Like the VW speedtrap in Guanajuato a few series ago. It'd be nice if we could choose difficulties.

One thing I did have problems with was getting a clean lap on Canyon Drop Rivals for the Accolade. The second jump kept throwing me into the wall like this when I hit the right inclined section of track.
The way I got round this was to aim for the left hand of the ramp with increased speed to take me over the rock outcropping so the momentum carried me forward onto the level section of track. Took me quite a few attempts to discover this.
