cut costs on localisation by cutting corners.
I don't know much about localization but a lot of non-English players on fm.net have complained about issues regarding localization. Especially those from Germany since that language gets screwed up more often than not. I would argue it's laziness.

What do you say people? Do we start the countdown with this tasteful Peugeot 104?

At least you're not on about Hobnobs again.

Anyways, a friend sent me a code for the Racing Pack DLC and I gave the cars a quick meta-test.

  • The Saleen is very good in A Cross Country
  • The Emira is good on A Road Circuit
  • The Altimaniac is good on S1 Cross Country
  • The Huayra is good on S2 Road Circuit and very good on S2 Road Sprint & Street

None are world-beaters, but all are competitive online with the right build.

I've just gone for it on The Eliminator seeing as we need to get one elimination in game (I usually park up in the trees and try to hide until the end when forced to play it). I got 5 eliminations in one game and popped 2 accolades.

Still hate The Eliminator though......
I love the Eliminator, but have never gotten five eliminations in a single game. It's the only Eliminator accolade I don't have.

I got very lucky bud, everytime I beeped my horn I was facing the correct way. I finished 3rd overall. I have won the Eliminator twice, both times (many months apart) I watched the car in front of me hit an obstacle and stop dead just short of the finish.

I doff my cap to anybody who has "The Vocho you did not see coming" accolade. I have about 10 Eliminator accolades I still need, but I'm happy to let them rest. I'm still concentrating on trying to chip away at the vinyl and tuning accolades.

My proudest moment was getting the "I'm the Vocho you never saw coming" accolade the hard way, by doing in in the Vocho itself.

I will admit I am suffering the sin of pride right now. My closest competition for this win wasn’t any of the level 10 cars in the race. It was another Vocho right behind me. I guessed the right direction leaving the final arena, checked the map and saw the finish was on the other side of Guanajuato. All the level 10 cars were driving straight for it so I knew they were going to run into walls. I aimed for the Main Street through town. The other Vocho came out of a side street on the right and we ended up next to each other. Naturally they tried to ram me into a wall. I backed off a bit and hoped they’d make a mistake, and they did, overshooting a hard right. I passed on the inside, then managed to stay ahead until the finish. I’ve now installed “I’m the Vocho you never saw coming” on my Horizon Link.

I think I've done about 3 Eliminators since the game came out. I just don't care about it. It's also the first game in the franchise where I just can't be bothered to get all the bonus boards... the last ones I haven't got are in ridiculously insane spots.

I preferred hunting the bonus boards in insane spots (because it got me into tuning a mad S2 Hoonigan RS200) over playing one more round of Eliminator. I just can't deal with these stupid accolades on this damned game mode. I feel like it's 80% luck and 20% driving skill. Zero interest in that. Same reason I can't be bothered to do the Playground Games anymore.

I've actually grown to quite like the Eliminator. I've only won it three times but I am adamant to at least complete the accolades relating the amount of wins before the game becomes dead. Most of the time I usually coast by to the final but my car is never quite good enough. When you are in the running though, I find it way more intense than any other battle royale game in all honesty.

Apparently my fm.net comment was on this recent video from Roflwaffle, about car licensing theories regarding why your favorite car isn't in what game. It also has some details about why Lancia still ain't in the game, as well as the Porsche exclusivity with EA.

Somehow I got five likes on this post.

That quote is hilarious. He explains that licenses are per car, but doesn't bother to mention that they are also time-limited. So grabbing all cars from FH4 is not necessarily lazy, since they had to renegotiate each car, and many manufacturers might have different thoughts 4 years later.

Huh, I haven't posted there in a long time it just went down the tubes like thier social media channels, I was surprised to see my tag mentioned here.

I don't know why people think licensing comes with every single vehicle ever made by that manufacturer.

This week's trial was Awful with a capital A. Volcan Sprint needs to be banned from Trials. And putting us in S2Ks makes it all the more annoying. I quit the first try because I kept losing control, and second attempt we did succeed, but two quit on us.

They also love to spam the "MO POWAH BABY" horn in both instances.

I got an entire team at A800 and two easy wins. I picked the best launching A800 tune available and it worked great, I was at the front both races.
