I've only ever seen Kei cars on TV, very envious of you bud. I love Kei's because they're different, and I like to embrace different and quirky things in life. Life is far too short to follow the norm, let your freak flag fly and go for it. Would love to own an Autozam or Cappuccino but I'd never be able to drive them lol.

Speaking of which, given the 90s theme of the next update, I'd really think the Honda Beat and Suzuki Cappuccino are no-brainers to add. Good thing we already have the Autozam AZ-1 which is easily the most famous kei car of all time, and the other two will go well with them.

Would make a ton of sense as that would also mean the return of Suzuki to Forza.

The Chaser is quite a let down in terms of customisation. That's taken some of the fun out of it but I'm still going to get it because I've never seen it in ANY game. I didn't even know the car existed until it was unveiled in the season preview.
Its JDM only 2JZ packed RWD sedan. Was RICED like crazy in 2000. Meme car in RF because of half of them were imported here and our DIY drifters killed all of them.

It's a good theory for sure, especially with the Autozam being slotted into Retro Hot Hatch presumably in preparation for future kei cars and Year 4's current emphasis on sleeper cars and upgrade fodder. But... honestly I dunno if I could get behind 'em, even if people would be all over them like I was for the Terminator Mustang months ago. I definitely think there's more you could bring in from the '90s, and making it a kei car update would be kind of a waste IMO.

In regards to Autozam, after skimming the file again there are some brands that i've missed. These are just text strings of part manufacturers in the files. No texture present in the game so far.
  • Daihatsu (i've mentioned this before just not explicitly)
  • Eunos (Mazda luxury brand back then)
  • AOSK (Body kit/accessories maker for EV)
Those 3 brands above are side to side to Autozam string.

On Forza Motorsport side i managed to find these brands in the strings
  • Urban Automotive (Carbon Fibre bodykit maker)
  • Renegade Design (Body kit and wheel maker)

It depends a lot on how long they keep giving us new cars. If they were to stop at the 3 years post-launch mark, then we will probably only get a few more cars in total. But if they keep on going into year 4 you are right.

Also, I am probably talking nonsense but all these JDM cars would be an awesome launch car list for FH6-in-Japan. Just like all the quirky UK cars we got for FH4 (and the couple of Aussie cars in FH3). They sort of pivoted to JDM during 2024, so the nonsense talker in me wonders if this is because FH6's location was confirmed in late 2023 and the car team have been hard at work on JDM classics since then. Hey, I might be right, you never know...

I was bummed that they didnt use the JZX100 but I'm digging this Chaser. Sounds good and fun to drive and flick sideways. Especially when you keep the stock look.

Without getting my hopes up, I've been thinking the same. I've felt that basing a Horizon game in Japan wouldn't be quite worth it without a solid chunk of Japanese cars to suit the setting.. which PG have really been building up in the past year.

At this point, I'd be happy with any Asian country really, Thailand would be a fantastic setting.

Oooohhhhh Thailand, now there's a good shout.

Cheers, Thailand is to me is almost the perfect setting for the next game. Hugely varied landscapes, down south around Krabi, (tropical climate with some pretty extreme vistas), dense and modern cityscape with Bangkok, rolling valleys and mountains up towards Chiang mai, and thick forest and incredible mountain roads to Pai. I experienced the 'highway' from Chiang Mai to Pai squished into the back of a mini van with about 12 other people, the hairpins and switchbacks, and monumental cliff faces, perfect for Forza.

The two main cultures celebrated in Forza are both super healthy in Thailand as well, their car culture is super unique with their mini truck customisation, and their music scene is thriving.

I only really say that its 'almost the perfect' setting though, because its not Japan, and we all know how that'd go down with the YouTube crowd.

I haven't played the game in months but can anyone confirm someone has created the Alitalia/Stratos livery for the Autozam AZ-1.
I'd buy the DLC and revisit the game for that.

I was very pleasantly surprised to learn that this is the very first licensed appearance of the JZX80 Chaser in any video game ever, not even Gran Turismo had it before.

PG has done a great job fleshing out the old JDM metal, and has done a pretty good job with the new stuff, with I think only the GR Corolla and FL5 CTR still to come.

90s was the minivan era... how about bringing some of the most distinctive? I'm talking about the Pontiac Silhouette, the Chevrolet Astro, the Ford Aerostar, the Toyota Previa (!), the Mazda MPV, the Mitsubishi Wagon (!!), VW Eurovan, Renault Megane Scenic, Fiat Multipla (!!!) and of course, the Dodge Caravan/Chrysler Voyager.

On the SUV side of things, how about the original Toyota RAV4, the Subaru Outback and Forester, and the original BMW X5?

For sedans/sport cars: the Alfa Romeo 156/166, the original Audi TT, Hyundai Coupe, Seat Ibiza, Peugeot 406 Coupe, Volvo C70.

True Achievements are reporting that FH5 will have new achievements connected to Hide and Seek. The achievements are coming in Series 39. I'd post a link to the story but I'm on my 'phone here and don't know how too sorry.

It was said on the ¡Let's Go! stream last month.

Ah my bad. I rarely have time to watch the live stream. I catch up on all the announcements from Jake XVX, I clearly wasn't paying proper attention to Jake lol.

I was browsing the liveries and thought I would let you know someone had replicated the Alitalia livery only to realise as I'm posting it you're the one that actually did it.

Thanks, all the same! I don't normally create liveries and if I hadn't seen a photo of the actual car I would have been more than happy with the top-rated Spoon livery.

So, since Famine was kind enough to move the Back to the '90s discussion over to its own thread, I'm just gonna use this thread to put forward a preliminary prediction for Horizon Track Day.

That returning collectible they teased, I've got three candidates in mind for. The Accolade Trophy from European Automotive is by far the most adaptable of all the collectibles we've seen so far, it could apply to any potential theme we've ever really had, but it's also probably the most likely cop-out option. We've also got the racing helmet from High Performance, the first appearance of the Oval Track we're also seeing return for this Series, which would absolutely suit the theme--we had a similar collectible for the Horizon Race-Off, but that one was colored after Team Asphalt rather than being a straight port from what we had in High Performance, so I'm counting that as a separate collectible--and last, but certainly not least, the Winners Circle Tank from Apex Allstars. If I had to place any money on any of these being our returning collectible, it'd be either the Accolade Trophy or the High Performance racing helmet--something simple, easily reintroduced and also representative of the recreational nature of track days.

As for the cars... I'm going to just assume a four-car update now and leave it at that.

Summer: 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (Likely our headline car. We've not actually had a new model GT3 RS, and if we're getting a Track Toy/sports car update this would be a great way to start it off.)
Autumn: 2021 Hyundai Elantra N (I'll say it again, we've never had a TCR without its street car cousin. This wouldn't be any different. Alternatively this could be either an ICE TCR from FM2023 or a returning Time Attack car like the Cusco Impreza.)
Winter: 2019 McLaren Senna GTR (FM2023 portback, making this more of a New-to-Horizon pick. But a little British flair never hurt anyone, did it?)
Spring: EV Track Toy/TCR (We haven't had any new EVs since Modern Horizons, actually. I'm betting this'll be the one to break that trend.)

My prediction for the track day update

New GT3 RS
Ariel Atom 4R
Ginetta Akula
Radical SR8 (From FH1)
Donkervoort F22

More of a hope that a prediction but I'd be over the moon to see even a few of these cars come to the game.
