Some possibilities (some more likely than others) based on my running list:

Ariel Atom 4/4R
Ariel Hipercar
BAC Mono R
Caparo T1 (returning, unlikely)
Newer Caterham 7 model?
Donkervoort F22
Elfin MS8 Streamliner (unlikely, but would be awesome)
Exomotive Exocet V8 XP-5 (from Motorsport)
Ginetta Akula
Ginetta G55 GT4 (from Motorsport)
Ginetta G40 Junior (from Motorsport, would be awesome)
Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition (returning, probably not)
Porsche 992 911 GT3 RS
Radical Rapture
Radical SR3 XX
Radical SR8 RX (Returning)
Something from Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus?
Ultima RS
Zenos E10 R (unlikely)

I don't think they would add any of the GT3/GTE/TA/etc. or older racing cars that are in Motorsport this update, especially since they did one with cars like that recently already. But those may not be off the table either.

Now this is a list of cars I can get behind would love to see these come to Forza 😍

I could see TCR. Maybe one or two TCR cars like the Golf or Astra in FM. The official Horizon account did retweet the Horizon Touring Car Cup account recently.

They could follow the same Toyota-Subaru-Mitsubishi-European Car pattern with this too lol. Yaris TCR, Levorg BTCC, ???, Golf, 308 or Astra TCR (I’m unsure what Mitsubishi they would choose lol. They could choose a second Time Attack car to go with the Lancer, like the double wing Scion or a RX7?)

Heck they could do just a straight-up touring car update, like you suggested earlier, but I have a feeling they'll just emphasize track toys and sports cars instead. We've kinda been in the slow lane for cars as of late, so an update that's just straight-up track-ready rides is sorely needed IMO.

If we're talkin' Mitsubishis though, I'd be all for a ninth-gen Galant or a returning Eclipse. Heck, there's even a tuner Lancer that got lost to time, the FQ-330, getting that back would be nice.

The FQ-330 was a standard UK model, not a tuned car. For some reason though, the VIII MR in FH5 still has the FQ-330's extra torque, and always has done. It was fixed in FM7 but like a few other such corrections it never made its way to FH5.

@Digolgrin Probably would be under rally monsters but the Space Star R5 was my go to for Dirt 2.0 lol

I guess a Lancer Wagon Evo could also be a more obscure one or the Stealth being a Diamond-Star collab even though those aren’t track toys

Edit: since I’m home and bored, time to predict the next few updates before a possible FH6, aka fancy ways to fill out the car roster.

Nov: Track Toys (maybe a TCR update?)

Dec: Holiday celebration where we get a bunch of hypercars like usual

Jan: Back to the 2000s - fills in the gaps for missing 2000s cars like the Altezza and would be a Y2K type of theme

Feb: Retro European: possibly where the FOMO 928 shows up along with like the DS3, Rover SD1 or something

Mar: Horizon Concours d’Elegance: basically would span 1920s-1970s which still has missing cars like the Austin Seven

Apr: Subcompact month: would include rumored Kei cars and hint at Japan (bring back the Cygnet, imo)

May: idk, wagons? that would be interesting. maybe they celebrate previous Horizons again

June: FH6 Japan/Asia announced, they announce a title car like the Civic and this is when is shows up. Probably another Toyota saloon as well. They announced the VUHL/FH5 in June as the last car. Would be last car update before FH6

My prediction:

Overall: Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992) '22
Spring: Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution '23
Summer: Ginetta Akula '19
Autumn: KTM X-Bow GT-XR '23
Winter: McMurtry Spierling '22

And on the topic of FH6's potential location, South Korea won't be too far-fetched considering the sheer amount of Hyundais we've been getting, but the demand for it to be set in Japan is almost impossible to ignore.

And considering Tokyo Xtreme Racer is coming out next year means there will be stiff competition indeed.

A Space Star wouldn't be unwelcome either, yeah. I know it's a Rally5 car, I never gave it much thought when I played Dirt 2.0, but I can see the appeal.

As for these Series predictions... Honestly I kinda like this, brought me back around to the idea that maybe we'll get one or two more big updates beyond this year's holiday update before the plug is pulled. Heck, why don't I try my hand at this too?

November: Horizon Track Day (of course, this is what everyone seems to agree is a big Track Toys update, but I wouldn't put it past them to include more B and A class sports cars alongside it)
December: Holiday Update, of course (...would anyone happen to have any predictions for what they could offer as gift cars this year?)
January: Horizon 2K (2000s focused update, ostensibly, but could also be a smokescreen for early 2010s stuff)
February: French Automotive or Asian Automotive (Because I saw "Concours d'Elegance" and instantly thought 'oh hey we get two Automotive Excellence updates a year, why not dedicate one to France?'--but since February is roughly when the Lunar New Year falls, I wouldn't be surprised if they brought back the Drift Arena and had a more generalized Asian Automotive update, kinda like what happened with European Automotive. I shudder to think of the popular reaction to this update though, considering this might mean more Chinese cars.)
March: Horizon Legends (Basically a celebration of fan favorite Horizon cars; this is where we'd get the 928 and a lot of highly requested returning cars. Perhaps this is also a case of 'hey you're getting a highly requested New-to-Forza car', and we get, like, the Fiat Uno or something.)
April: Horizon Fools (Probably a kinder way of putting it that doesn't immediately invoke April Fools Day, but this could be a celebration of weird and wonderful cars to celebrate April Fools' Day all month long. Sure a lot of these would be not that much more than upgrade fodder but you could get a four-car update out of this.)
May: Australian Automotive (Kind of throwing crap at the wall here, but the Land Down Under really does deserve some love in this new era of Automotive Excellence updates. Maybe one of the last cars there can be a Japanese car that did incredibly well in V8 Supercars competition to hint at whatever they have planned, assuming a FH6 reveal in June for E3.)
June: Final Horizons (The plug-pulling update. Adds FH6 cover car, plus some other cars from the setting country. You could probably also get a couple more updates beyond this before then, but with Fable probably having its release date by then I'm not holding my breath.)

Why not make that series dedicated to the lost survivors of FH1 metal we never saw again (and no other racing game to this day is even interested in it)?

Would love to see the old Audi R8 GT in both coupe and spyder models come back. So would the iconic S-class we lost, alongside the ill-fated MINI coupe almost nobody got. At the very least they could be remodeled, just as the C30 Polestar was a late entrant given the filenames.

Oooh, that's a thought. I was thinking this would be a grab-bag update with maybe a highly-requested new car thrown in there for good measure, so there'd be a possibility for a whole bunch of returning cars that got left out of prior updates for one reason or another. But I figure, that game's anniversary's long past so they'd have more license to pull from the game's history.
