Plot twist: The racing scenes were filmed using FM5's in-game engine.
I wish. At least we would have rain that way.

NOVEMBER GET HERE QUICKER!...This sort of faithfulness applies to both the new tracks and those brought back from older Forzas, such as the Nürburgring. "We do this for all tracks in the game. Even the ones we've shipped before we've gone back and rescanned and updated."
Excellent. First really good news I have heard in a while.OXM UK article details shady group of Americans invading Czech soil to map its buildings and steal its goulash.
"We scanned the entire track and it goes down to sub-6mm accuracy, so it picks up little divots in the road surface, it picks up all sorts of details." So the Nurburgring XL is gone for good?
The article sure makes it seem that way.
Of course, that doesn't stop some design director at T10 from saying, "Hey, Ken Block can't Gymkhana through that corner! Let's widen it a bit."
http://www.forzamotorsport.net/en-US/news/FM5_Gamescom_2013the return of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and, brand new to the Forza series, Spa-Francorchamps!
Spa's coming, all tracks laser scanned and staying true to their real world scale... any car/racing enthusiast would be a FOOL to pass up Forza 5!
As good as this all sounds, it means nothing to me if I can't use my current wheel with the XO.
As a world-wide recognized brand of high quality peripheral devices, Fanatec is known for its cutting-edge technological innovation and high performance products. We develop racing wheels, pedals, cockpits and connecting accessories for nearly all platforms (next-gen consoles and PCs).
Meh, no clutch or gated shifter.

That's great news. Hopefully Forza 5 will feature competitive AI and rock solid 60 fps. If so I'm sold. That is correct. The Xbox One no longer requires the Kinect to function (though it will still be packed in with the system).

Yeah, 4 long months of waiting.60fps has already been confirmed, I think it was one of the first things we even knew.
Competitive AI.. We'll just have to wait and see just how good/bad this drivatar system is. If it can actually recreate some fast drivers then I can see it being the most competitive yet. We'll just have to play the waiting game.
No clutch or H shifter? Woah. The Thrustmaster 458 Italia wheel has been made exclusive to the Xbox One and FM5. No clutch or H shifter though.
But does that mean Forza 5 will boast a more impressive physics simulation than Gran Turismo 6?
"Just do the math. Honestly," Greenawalt replied. "I don't know what their physics engine is. I know what mine is. What I know is my approach and the amount of power we have in the box allows us to do things that we certainly couldn't have done on the 360 and we didn't do on Forza Motorsport 4.
"I'm not playing their physics, but I think it's one of those things where there is physics involved in just what we're doing."
