So I have been having a weird problem since the new patch went live. When I am in a C Class lobby (I mention this because it's the only lobby I go into), after the finish of every race I have a gaggle of cars piling up and obscuring my view of EVERYTHING (I cannot see my drivatar, the new track, the list of other players, etc) for the first good 10-20 seconds before they disappear. I suspect it has something to do with the addition of spectate, but it's seriously cramping my ability to change cars, which of course I still have to wait for the track to load before I try that, giving me 15 seconds or less to choose from my bevy of cars. And no, the remedy is not driving an '04 Civic every race.

Edit: looks like they're aware:

Looks like a new Civic may be coming, though curiously enough I saw no in-game model at all and Slap “famously” always drives in cockpit view on his channel

Maybe somebody can screenshot the pause screen from the start of the race and see if “Honda Civic ‘18” was the car he was in ;)

Looks like the pause menu is shown in the background at 0:52. I can’t make out what the make or model says but it’s definitely a B Class Car.

The '16 is C class, so it is quite possibly the '18.

That's homologated though, in stock form it's in B class.

With that said, considering you can't feel the g-forces and suspension loads, combined with the fact it's not as scary to do it on a simulator because if you crash all you have to do is hit reset, I'm fairly sure that with an actually good driver, the in-game lap should have been faster than the real thing.

They're mechanically similar for the most part, I believe the real difference, aside from the obvious body, lies with the rear suspension. That's still quite a difference.

Here's a direct quote of Slaptrain: "I'm pretty excited to be the first gamer to actually be racing a 2018 Honda Civic Type-R."

The new Type-R obviously will be included in Forza at some point. The question is when, but this video would suggest sooner rather than later.

It's a 2018, even the caption of the video says so.

True, but it seems unlikely the new model matches the 2016 for its PI rating. Possible, since it gains both weight and horsepower, but still unlikely.

Indeed. I wouldn't be surprised if it shows up at some point.

Turns out Graeme Rahal ain't got anything on me. How about that Indycar ride, then?

Seriously though, even the most hardcore simulator out there will yield faster lap times than a real car going around a track. Perhaps a VR equipped motion rig would change that, but if you can afford one of those, just get yourself a real racecar instead.

Yes press select car and press back.
It will be normal after that.

I just thought this might be interesting to point out, since I haven't seen anyone mention it yet.

Your pause menu says "Honda Civic '16", but the pause menu in the video:

Just says "Honda Civic". I don't see why the string would be different in the developer version if it's the same car, but either way it's different.

From the official Tweet from Honda:

Honda presents R vs R – a mixed reality race between real and virtual. Watch @IndyCar driver @GrahamRahal in the real 2018 #CivicTypeR take on pro gamer @SLAP_Train in the virtual 2018 #CivicTypeR in @forzamotorsport. See who wins: http://honda.us/RvsR

That should remove any doubt that it is coming and the car in the video is the 2018 Civic.

Absolutely loving the hatchbacks in FM7! The Mini John Cooper Works '09 has become one of those cars I feel at home with.

The hatchbacks look stunning, they're fun to drive and make for great races. I hope we get more hatchbacks in upcoming DLC, like the newest Mini Cooper S model.

Defiantly one of the good points of FM7, has many decent hatchbacks that are fun to drive and the in game models look stunning.

Is anybody having issues with xbox live? I have gold but I cant do any multiplayer stuff because i dont have gold
