I just noticed they removed the rotary conversion for the SpeedSource Lola. I know it wouldn't fit any homologation with the swap, but it was still awesome. :(

Wondering if you guys can help me.

I haven't been downloading the cars from the car packs, I have the car pass as it came with the ultimate edition that I bought, its says it should be with my games and apps but its no there, perhaps I haven't/didn't install it, was there and expiry date for it because I cant see it anywhere?

Edit, its OK I've managed to sort it. 👍

Any reason the game won't allow free Play?

Starting Grid and Test Drive boxes are grayed out. I haven't changed any settings since buying the game. However, I have updated the game today.

Edit: I set everything to Default. Still grayed out Starting Grid and Test Drive.

Edit: A message reading Not everyone has a car kept coming up. I switched classes multiple times. Changed number of Ai to zero and then I was able to race. I have changed AI to 15 and now I can race. Weird.

Are they still grayed out after the track loads?

Did anyone mention that you can put a ski box on the R8 from the Forzathon? It’s ridiculously big. No other body kits except the Forza bumper.

One you've strapped this monstrosity to your super exotic sports car, it's time to admit you should have bought the Q7 instead. *IMAGE*
I think Koeniggggsenisseggsegnignigsegigiseg still has it beat on the price to uselessness scale.

Decent update. It's seemed to fix the car thumbnail bug in the garage. So I can change the colours of the cars and the thumbnail will change to the correct colour now. Never use to work for me.

Ah I noticed that last night was still a thing (before the update landed). I'll have to check it later now that it appears to be fixed.

Just a warning... Anybody who has been playing FM7 from launch, isn't going to be very happy with what's in the speciality dealer this week. (Unless you don't have those cars already)

It’s gotten to the point where even when they were doing polls I wasn’t in any hurry to visit the dealer.

It’s a cool feature but they executed it terribly. T10 just gets more and more like PD with each passing day.

If they are not going to put new vehicles in the Specialty dealer then, they can at least make the cars appear at random. At least add some unpredictability to it. Sheesh!

This is the fourth Motorsport game I've bought and played, starting with FM3. Sadly, this is the last one I'll buy. The specialty dealer is symptomatic of what I dislike about this game. Locking away content I've paid for isn't going to make me a fan. Yes, we can earn or buy the cars through bounty hunter events, specialty dealer, Forzathons, etc. But each one comes with it's own problems. You want that bounty hunter prize? You better be faster than a professional Indy car driver or you're SOL. We promised you a car in the specialty dealer and didn't deliver? Guess what? We never will! It's offered as a Forzathon prize? Forzathon is filled with bugs and you don't get your car! Yes, they've worked hard to fix Forzathon. And the variety of the cars in the game is second to none. But if I can't add the cars to my garage that I paid for with actual money, then I'm going to stop buying the games. I can't purchase the cars I want anyway, so I might as well keep my money.

I feel like this game was a bit of a miss but I am pretty satisfied with it. Only thing I really want is more MG type unicorns. They are what will keep me coming back.

Done. Nice knowing you Forza 7. Hope Playground know what to do when Horizon 4 comes around.

(Since both these posts are linked)

Look, it is getting increasingly obvious that T10 is cracking underneath the pressures prescribed to them by Microsoft by not only delivering a Forza Motorsport title to what amounts to every two years, but also by helping Playground out on development after Horizon is released. And unfortunately, as much as I would like T10 to take a sabbatical and maybe make another much more solid Motorsport title in a four year development window, as a sort of reset, I know that with Microsoft looking increasingly desperate for exclusive titles, which looks like this year to be just Sea of Thieves and Horizon 4, plus whatever third party title they moneyhatted, T10 is going to be leaned on even more over the next few years.

To be quite honest, I got burnt out on the Forza series. Horizon was the thing that brought me back, and it's what's keeping me barring an utter disaster like Forza 7. Then again, in hindsight, it was so obvious that this game was probably going to be nothing more then a 'meh' title at best considering how anemic the first showing at E3 was. How little hype there was, even amongst the T10 press releases. With how utterly awful and slapdash the post launch content has been, it really cements Forza 7 in my mind as the worst of the three sim racing games released last year.

It's not even the poorly implemented Forzathon and Specialty Dealer set up. It's the numerous glitches and slapdash programming. It's the bugs that crop up with seemingly every title update. It's the poorly chosen car packs. It's the absolutely asinine and shoot yourself in the foot Homologation set up. Most of all, the game really isn't that fun anymore from a purely molecular structure, at least to me. Maybe some of this is just my shifting taste in sim racing, I don't know.

Forza Motorsport is at a very obvious crossroads where one series (Horizon) is inarguably the top dog in botch critical reviews, and more importantly, sales figures. The other is going through the motions, and in the one racing genre that has seen any growth, simply going through the motions like they have in Forza 7 isn't enough anymore to guarantee north of 5+ million copies when even on Xbox One, you have legitimate and absolutely better sim racing competition in Assetto Corsa and Project CARS that feels like some actual care and love was put into its development.

I just hope that Microsoft sees what Forza 7 is going through, in regards to overall fan opinions and how anemic things were received in the lead up to launch, and after, and give T10 the much needed break it deserves, or hell, even let them do something else for a change. Knowing how desperate things are getting within the entire Xbox sphere however, I know that T10 will probably be leaned upon even more, like 343 and The Collective will be for Halo and Gears of War, respectively considering that's all Xbox really has anymore that has any sort of sway with the gaming public.

EDIT: I keep on coming back to the thoughts that Failrace put on video about Forza 7 a while back. That Forza as a series is unique in the racing space for giving you an open toy box to create a race car out of a crap box or a super car. Such a thing is nil now, with the Homologation system in the game right now.
