Given that we've had 3 FM titles during this Xbox lifespan already, it certainly makes sense to stretch FM8 to be the launch title on the next Xbox if that is indeed coming in 2020.

The only trouble with 2020 for FM8 is what that means for the next FH title. Will that also be pushed back, i.e. 2021? If so, what does T10 deliver in 2019?

Just look at the releases over the years. FM has released every 2 years without fail, and since FM4 we've always had a Forza release in Q3 every single year. Deviating from clockwork releases every 2 years will be a big change for T10's financials above all else:
  • Forza Motorsport (2005)
  • Forza Motorsport 2 (2007)
  • Forza Motorsport 3 (2009)
  • Forza Motorsport 4 (2011)
  • Forza Horizon (2012)
  • Forza Motorsport 5 (2013)
  • Forza Horizon 2 (2014)
  • Forza Motorsport 6 (2015)
  • Forza Horizon 3 (2016)
  • Forza Motorsport 7 (2017)
  • Forza Horizon 4 (2018)

It's been a while since I dabbed into the crates, but aren't they the only way to get driver mods? I had nothing against them personally; 3 mods could net you a decent amount of credits on top of your winnings.

Hopefully nothing apart from patches and DLC/expansions for both games. Even Horizon, despite becoming an arguably better game, still feels hampered by the current release schedule.
Took the words out of my mouth, exactly. If T10 can add some longevity to Forza 7 say continuous updates thru the end of the year and adding a couple of expansions (TRACKS) throughout 2018-2019 then we will be good on that front. And with horizon 4 coming out towards the end of this year if that receives similar treatment then we can be patient for horizon 5 for sure. Both Forza 7 and horizon 4 can easily hold us for 2-3 years with the right content added and minimal to no bugs.

I vote to impeach G2 Laige!!! He hasn't done anything at all. And didn't even participate in the last Championship, ( although I did see him comment in the comment section, while the commentators were talking about him). Team 1 has been in last the whole time, and our time has now dropped below 2:20 !! Ugh! Looks like I'm gonna have to better my time to do my part. Can we trade for a new team Captain? How about Vanquish?

What!!! Linked videos I can actually watch? I don't know who did what, but what ever they did... I appreciate it. So lets see what Fred shared.

About tuning a car for handling. I'm a bit dense, but I'm finding a few things to be no help at all. What I am looking for is some way to understand what I am looking for when I want to dial an undesired characteristic out of a build. I don't want a tuning calculator to spit out results, even if they work. And I darn sure don't want to rely on downloading other's work. No dig against the marvelous tunes that so many top tier tuners have created. I just want the satisfaction of doing it myself. Give a man, a fish; he eats for a day... And all that jazz.

I've come across a Forza Tuning "school"... While it may be right what the doctor prescribed for me, I am not about to pay $120 a lesson. Sorry but I don't think tuning in Forza is that serious, even with the potential to earn real world money though E-Sports; although, I don't think tuning is allowed in most E-Sport events. I could be wrong.

For now, I'm muddling through tuning, and trying to learn how to interpret what the car is telling me. That way I can stop thowing maximum spring stiffness at everything, and actually balance the freaking cars. Dag nab it!

It depends on what you want out of the car, and what your preferences are, driving style wise. The game throws you a lot of strange ways to tune a car, too. That NSX uses a tune I've downloaded (that's the car I used in our very first GTP Rivals event at Prague last year) because my own tuning didn't give me what I wanted out of the car. It's mostly trial and error, unfortunately.

I vote both. In a perfect world (Or if Forza checked all of my boxes), any track that was in any Forza Motorsport title, would be available in Forza Motorsport titles that followed it. Even unloved courses like the Snake courses in FM2, or boring courses like the High Speed test track from Forza 1. Yes that would include the parking lot Autocross courses from FM1.

How would all these courses be delivered? I know no one wants to spend a month downloading all of those tracks every other year. Perhaps the title should become a Game as a Service. It would give Turn 10 the ability to improve it with out having to do the full release thing every other year, and the player wouldn't need to repeatedly download the tracks.

I guess I haven't been successful then. I've seen some amazing builds/tunes. Things like A class Shelby Cobras that would hang with the best handling cars in the class. And even sleeper ZL1 builds that don't have additional aero, but they handle like they are on rails. The minute I attempt to build something like that, I can never get the car sorted.

I got close today though. I reached a good stopping point with a homoligated 2017 Camaro SS. I tuned it for A class, and I managed to get it to the point where I have to try to break traction when turning. It still feels like it takes a lot to get it to turn, and Homoligation eliminates race brakes, but it's the best car I tuned with Homoligated parts.
The sad part about the build, I worked on it since Turn 10 opened up the car selection.

Yet I don't feel like I've done anything but got lucky, cause I never felt as if I tuned the problem area directly. The only thing I did right was, working on the end of the car giving me problems. This is probably a good start though.

One thing I've found helpful, once you find a basic setup that works to your liking and matches your driving style, you can pretty much copy it from car to car that share the same drivetrain style (ie FR cars, FWD cars etc). Obviously stuff like gearing and spring rates won't necessarily work, but stuff like camber, toe and diff settings will.

YMMV depending on your driving style and your upgrading preferences, though.

watch.forzamotorsport.com is streaming right now. Lot of good prizes including special liveries for the Sauber-Mercedes C9 and the Lancia 037 Stradale. There is another chance in about 5 hours if you miss this one.

I'm blatantly cheating and letting it run muted in the background to get the 30 minute reward.

I've collected 4 out of the 6 prizes so far. Stay tuned for the 6th? I'm about halfway for the 30 mins. I was hoping for a unique driver gear, I already have Midnight Driver Gear.

For the 6th prize, you just need to stay tuned to the end. They unlocked it right as the livestream ended. There was maybe one minute to unlock it and then it was gone.

Yeah, I had to leave home. So I left it on, hoping at when I returned, I still had a chance to claim it. But no such luck. No worries though, I already have 2 of that Honda Gt car.

oh and by the way. There was a Raffle mid-way through! the winner was our own Stang616! I almost missed the Raffle, caught it in the last few seconds, and I didn't catch what the prize was. But congratulations Stang616!

Thank you sir! Prize was a Plantronics RIG-600LX headset and I was honestly in shock I won. I entered that thing the past few times it's come up and never got it.

Maybe I should go play the lottery...
