I haven't played this one in ages and as such don't remember everything, but I'm at least 78% certain there was no wall/fence on the inside of Road America's last corner the last time I played.

Just found out the 917/30 is in the Forza Specials division, rather than being with the other Can-Am and prototype cars.

I honestly think Turn 10 should just stop adding cars to this game if this is how they're going to treat them.

The Forza Specials division could easily be done away with and all the cars put in their correct divisions. It seems to be the place the put cars they don't know what to do with, despite some of them being obvious.

Apparently FSpecials is used if one of the stock parts are better than the one homologated in division (with the exception of engine power)
Like tires being too wide.
I'd better have the cars in their affiliated division and have an option to downgrade tires or reduce engine power.

1939 BMW 328 -> hot rod ? Birth of grand prix? or special...
2013 Cadillac XTS Limousine -> special
2018 Exomotive Exocet Sport V8 XP-5 -> track toys (with power reducer)
2011 Ford Transit SuperSportVan -> special
2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor -> rebirth of muscle (like mustang 2005)
1983 GMC Vandura G-1500 -> special
1974 Holden Sandman HQ panel van -> Special or nostalgic drag racers
2018 Honda Odyssey -> special
1986 Lamborghini LM 002 -> special
1962 Porsche 804 -> grand prix legends
2016 Toyota Land Cruiser Arctic Trucks AT37 -> modern off roader (with tire reducers)
2007 Toyota Hilux Arctic Trucks AT38 -> modern off roader
1993 Toyota #1 T100 Baja Truck -> trophy trucks

1970 Volkswagen #1107 Desert Dingo Racing Stock Bug -> special
L1963 Volkswagen Type 2 De Luxe -> special

That's my idea... knowin that you could still race them based on class only.

I was just looking at the new seasonal championships and it says the prize for the one the Datsun is an ice cream van? I didn't know an ice cream van was even in the game lol

I've made my suggestions in Bold, they all fit much better in those categories. The only one that doesn't really fit in any division is the Limo.

I was thinking to fit them in existing divisions...
I checked the BMW and it was a GT not a grand prix car. but there are no other GT that old in Forza :(
The crown vic can also be in "Sport Touring Icons"
I'm not sure for the sandman if handling is good enough to fit in any classic muscle category...

For the utilities and cady they are not competitive cars but only for fun so specials is good

Specials could also have an homologation attached to it... like A or B class

Well for what it's worth the Porsche 917/30 can be competitively raced amongst the other can ams with just a few extra seconds worth of work. In freeplay under advanced rules make an extra bucket or two, one solely for the Porsche and the other for R class between the years of 1966-1970. Restrict the Porsches power handicap anything between .55-.65 and the grip handicaps bewteen .85-.95, plus tune it to your liking and bam it's done. It will now be just as fast as the others maybe still having a slight top speed advantage but it works out.

The last few updates have seriously improved the quality of the online racing. I’m not sure if it’s entirely down to updates or if most of the rammers have migrated to FH4 but I’ve had some incredible races in ABC’s lately. Not a single race has been a bad one IMO. Had some great battles within my class which have been surprisingly clean.

Isn't part of the corner pile-ups problem cause that the races are class based ?
In A class you can have SUV's, luxuries car, touring cars, GT icons and 60's GT's.... all these cars with very different breaking points and cornering speeds...
I always thought division based racing would be better, like in GTS

There’s both. Division hoppers are available and I believe they cycle each week (I don’t Race in division hopper a so im not entirely sure). I’ve been racing solely in ABC multiclass and I’ve found turn 1 divebombs are a lot less common. Even when you get rammed off track you lose a whole lot less time than before

With the news of Turn10 of taking an extra year or maybe even more to develop the next Forza for the nextgen xbox I hope they do it right. Switch it to a full service based game while offering a massive starting package at launch, basically one mainline forza for an entire generation, make it available at launch of new xbox, game pass obviously to maximize the user base, build up from that. Regular content drops like cars, tracks and new features to make it exciting, not just some minor fixes here and there and nothing new aside from paid car packs. Honestly if you play games like Fortnite or Rocket League you know what a good service game is, the developers are constantly making improvements, changes, seasonal themed events, interacting with the community instead of being immediately put on making a sequel. With decreasing popularity of racing games the old model of having a full boxed product at 60 bucks every 2 years doesn't work anymore, the player numbers have only decreased going from F5 to F6 to now F7, which is probably the lowest selling forza so far, and I can't blame the players, it's really just a minor upgrade from Forza 6, 4 new tracks of which 3 are remakes, a handful of new cars, a dynamic skybox... it's like "wow who give a s..." instead of "damn I have to get this game because it's so much better", PD made the right call but were a bit late to the party as far as content goes. T10 has a strong base to work with, with over 800 cars in the game and 32 tracks, but they can push it further, a game that gets a new track every month gets the community excited and keeps the game from getting stale quickly, simultaneously keeping the game alive. Personally Forza 7 was the quickest I dropped a forza game, it was by far the buggiest forza I've played, barely any new content, the look and feel of the game feels tired and dated, the floaty handling started getting on my nerves, etc. I think T10 still has potential to turn it around, but the new game needs to feel exciting, new and continuosly developed after release for years if not an entire generation to grow into something insanely massive by the end of it's lifecycle. Just my 2 cents, I could go on and on as an old forza player, or maybe that's just me getting old.

I got to try it out. The ghosted lobbies never infuriated me. It's the lobbies where contact can be made. It's almost like everyone throws caution to the wind when in those 3-5 lap slug fests provided by the hoppers.

I think it's a combination of a few things really. The updates and FH4 are two, but I also noticed that when they introduced the track day hoppers, a lot of crash kiddies migrated into those since you can be a scumbag in those much easier thanks to the drop in-drop out nature.

There's also the fact that there's generally a lot less new players coming in, so the overall skill level has gone up since those that still race online are familiar with the track layouts and already have cars built that work well on them.

Is anyone interested in setting up a regular or semi-regular casual racing series? I haven't really had any good multiplayer racing in hoppers and I'd love to try out racing with a set of custom regulations like FailRace's Turbo Tourers series in FM6.
It’s been almost a year since @Snorevette made this post.

This post started a discussion, that discussion lead to a private lobby, that lobby lead to a club which has been racing ever since, with a few hundred people joining along the way.

Two important things I noticed after this update, manual shift gear changes have almost definitely been fixed. Looks a lot more accurate and faster now. And the merkur xr4ti had a sound patch, it sounds more high rev v8 like now which is good.

I thought one of T10's goals was to eventually remove the tire walls once their new penalty system went into place, anyway. I wonder if that's still on the table in a future update.

Hello,

I've raced Le Mans in Forza GT with simulation damages and I noticed an unusual number of drivatars going to pit at the end of the first lap. Watched replay and noticed they recieved severe chassis / suspension damages with no reason at the end of the first lap... around the two chicanes. they simply put two wheels out of the track and did not hit anything.
That was like 5 out of 24 drivatars with damage in the first lap.

I also recieved the same kind of sudden damage on COTA in a V8 supercar. Only 2 wheels out of the road. Maybe there was kerbs but I don't think so.

Any of you had the same issue?

Thanks.

It's a known bug, they are working on a fix for it.

Cool thanks. The bug is due to the Nov update?
Yeah more than likely. I never seen that happen until a the other day after I had the update. Happened to me on the first corner on Long Beach. Fully damaged my car from just clipping the curb strips.

I ended up not having the time to attend the sessions, but the ones I did attend were super fun - I wish I had the time (and connection stability) to keep coming!

I hope it's not on all circuits... I have Mount Panorama to do for the carreer, and it's not the same thrill without damages :)
