November Bounty Hunter – Dan Greenawalt

Our November Bounty Hunter event will run until November 26, which gives everyone more than two weeks to train up to try and beat Dan’s final fastest time, which will be set during the week of November 19. We’ll be sure to keep the community updated on Dan’s current time to beat, as well as his final posted time well ahead of the event’s closing. If you want to find out how you compare as the Bounty Hunter event rolls along, be sure and follow Dan (GT: Nebuchadnezzar) on Xbox Live. We’ll be driving Dan’s own car – the 2016 Ford Shelby GT350R – on one of his favorite Forza tracks, Laguna Seca.

Now for the good part: rewards! For everyone who takes part in this month’s Bounty Hunter (that is, setting a time on leaderboard) will receive the 2010 Audi TT RS Coupe. Those who beat Dan’s time will also be rewarded with an exclusive car, and the Forza Community gets to vote on which car that will be. On Tuesday, Nov. 14 at around 10 a.m. Pacific, we’ll post a poll on our official Forza Motorsport Twitter account, giving everyone the chance to vote on the exclusive car that will end up being the November Bounty Hunter Reward car. The poll will be live for three days and we’ll announce the winning car in next week’s edition of the Week in Review.

Specialty Dealer
We’ve got three great cars available in the Forza 7 Specialty Dealer right now – from the intimidating madness of the Nissan TITAN Warrior Concept to the 2005 SUBARU Impreza WRX STi, and the costly (but worth it) 2008 Lamborghini Reventón. There’s still a few days to grab those cars and, next week, look for three new entries, including the Subaru Legacy B5 2.0 GT, the TVR Sagaris, and the Ferrari 458 Italia.

Auction House Update

Last week’s update for Forza Motorsport 7 included the activation of the Auction House in the game. WE are aware of a couple of issues with the Auction House, including slow search overall and the inability for some cars to be sold on the AH. We are investigating both matters and I hope to have more updates soon. In the meantime, we’ve limited the number of searches results that appear to 100 while we investigate the issue. Look for more information soon.

Forzathon

As of today, #Forzathon events in Forza Motorsport 7 are officially live! To kick off the launch, we’ve got three events in the game. #Forzathon events in FM7 are slightly different from those in Forza Horizon 3; this time around, you’ll need to complete events in sequence in order to get claim your rewards. Also, note that we are aware of some known issues with the current Forzathon events, including the progress bars in the #Forzathon screen not reflecting progress right away. The team is currently investigating now. In the meantime, check out our Known Issues thread on the forums for the full rundown.

Yeah, like this Achievement for me. Apparently I need to do it 513 times to get it to unlock.

Going to need to hope that Xbox Live can sync it up properly, or else I’ll never get 100% completion.

So it seems that there is a hack of some sort as the top two times in the Alfa Rivals event are considerably faster than anyone else and the top time is reaching crazy speeds.

Hopefully this doesn't become wide spread.

None of these are unlocking for me either. I restarted the game and everything. I did the 5 laps at Maple Valley in Classic Street Muscle, and completed a lap at Spa.

So is the Chevy SS Forza edition a reward car?

I’m assuming the regular SS below it is too? Saw them in the Homestead autocross rivals but you can’t buy the regular SS in the dealership.

I am really disappointed that they nixed the A class hopper. I like the Classics A class hopper, but it's quickly turning into an Alfa 33 Fest. And racing in the A class hoppers was scary enough, I can't imagine that an S class hopper would be any cleaner.

The Alfa 33 was already the best car in A-Class.

Remove the only things that can get near it (usually a Honda NSX) and success is guaranteed.

That being said, these Hoppers aren’t the type where cars should be balanced. That’s what Homologation is for.

The R34 Skyline (tune by G Shedden) is doing well for me in S-Class, won most of my races today. AWD plus a high grid position helps escape the loonies too.

You're not wrong, but even when the A Class hopper was open, very few people chose the Alfa 33, and generally there would be two or so NSXs. I liked the variety therein; I enjoyed many competitive races with cars that homologation would never have allowed to mingle. And that's really the crux of it all, surprising a lobby of good racers on Long Beach with your Jeep Wagoneer. I can appreciate what they have tried to do with homologation, but overlaying it upon the already-existing class system makes things a bit of a mess for me. Homologation was better implemented in FH3.

I suppose 'disappointed' was the wrong word. I am disheartened. I was really hoping that once a hopper went up, it wouldn't go on walkabout a month later.

I think I have a problem:

I might have messed something up on my computer and now when I run Motorsport 7 or Horizon 3, it just shows the loading screen when you open it.

While I appreciate the uniqueness to some of the FE cars, I wish they would come stock, performance wise. I would really like to be able to put my own take on them within homologation.

I had that at one point briefly, I think it was purely related to internet connectivity on my end being a bit of an issue. Rebooting the PC and router sorted it for me.

Don't know if this was the case in previous Forza's but it appears the replays have a limit of 40 minutes. Tried recording my replay of a 20 lap race at Bathurst in the Ford Falcon Shell V-Power V8 Supercar which lasted 45 minutes and the replay abruptly ended halfway through lap 18.

Just one restart and it all works again 👍

A car class I'm really enjoying is Forza Touring Cars. I only have two, the Honda Civic WTCC and the Chevy Cruze WTCC. They're just fun to race. I don't know why I'm surprised, since I love touring car racing. I guess it's because I'm so often disappointed. I love watching F1 racing, but have never played a racing game where I loved racing F1 cars. The ease of racing the touring cars in this game reminds me of the old Mitsubishi FTO LM and Honda Del Sol LM from GT2, two of the greatest racing cars ever to grace a video game console.

----------

This one was tricky as a significant portion of the car is unpaintable. The rollcage was paintable in Forza Horizon 3 but that was fixed in the Forza Motorsport 7 version of the car.

So I made the most of it, and used the cage as the base for the design. The cage is "made of wood" and Husqvarna make chainsaws ;)

The one thing that really annoys me, well above the missing SS badges and all the other things people have been ranting about since the game came out, is the fact the human sized pile of feces (faeces?) that is Scott Tucker is still represented in the game with his LMPC car.

If it's any consolation, the money from licensing is probably going right to all the people he scammed.

Found a cheap/lazy way to fix the 997 GT3 RS 4.0's handling woes; just convert it to 4wd and send all the power to the rear wheels. It's not perfect, but at least it doesn't want to wheelie out of every corner...

Just wondering, maybe we can get a group of clean racers for lets say some sunday ride?

Tired of doing ghost lobby, want some real racing, but without those kids ramming you at every corner, straight, and even when you being kicked they think finishing you its OK :D
