Yay. Multi class worked. Unless it’s a coincidence. Nice to lap GT cars with my R18. It gave me something to do in the second half of my race at Le Mans.

sorry, forgot. Yes, it's PC only.

These are the PC settings in case you care:

@skazz Thanks for the reply,I was just wondering thats all. 👍

To add to my previous post,I said that all seems ok on my xsx,I did notice sometimes in my garage it flickers slightly almost from one resolution to another. Not all the time and its not in game. Also when you pick a car,I tend filter by class, before the update the filter remained on`by class`until I restarted the game, now it goes back to the default filter setting when I leave the car select screen. These few bugs are only since the latest update, not as bad as some peoples issues but still shouldnt happen.

In addition, even when switching off drivatar liveries, they still appear. And I prefer the standard liveries as they are closer to reality and in a higher detail.
After seeing the horrific liveries during a one make Mini Cooper race, thankfully you can. You might just need to exit to the main menu and change your settings there.
When a 'Mr Bean' livery is the #1 recommended design, you know the series just isn't for you anymore and GT Revival can't come quick enough.

Well, after the update I played and completed the Open Tour to get the Audi R8. I can't really report any major visual downgrades (or upgrades) but I did see some flickering lights/shadows in some tracks (Kyalami) and cars. Most of the time these flickering went away after restarting the game.

Some tracks do look more detailed than others, but frankly most of the time I'm looking at the road/apex/car in front, so I really don't care much for environmental detail (and Laguna Seca is a boring environment, let's be honest). There is no noticeable texture pop up, and environmental lights and effects are good: Some track/weather/time of day combinations are really impressive, others, so-so. Also, no fps drops or stutters in performance RT mode.

I do play on an OLED screen, and I don't like the HDR settings with Dolby Vision, so I turned that off.

They can clearly keep the old and new Open championships up at the same time in game, but they still have to have the old one leaving just for "FOMO" - to get users to keep logging into Gamepass each week
You can wait 4 weeks and do all at once, this is what i did, the game is not stopping you to do it

the default liveries on certain race cars are incomplete, where they have a lot of decals removed, or the entire livery itself. New cars introduced in this update, such as the Peugeot 308 GTI TCR, McLaren 720S GT3 and MG MG6 XPower TCR are really having incomplete liveries.
likely due licencing issues, just be glad the cars are in the game knowing how licencing is becoming more and more of a trouble to racing game companies

But i do agree with the guy that said that T10 should work more on schemes, more than that, i think they should work on cars that may replace the ones they cant licence, just like GT does

You completely missed the point. Obviously it doesn’t matter if people play every week or every four weeks, but regardless people still live busy lives or they may buy other, more satisfying games, or they might just jump to the newest game that Game Pass offers.

People also decide to take breaks from games. What about the people who put away this game for a couple months, then decide to pick it up again? How will they be able to catch up on cars they might want? I hate to bring up GT7 into this, but even GT7 isn’t as egregious as this (as long as you can figure out cars rotate on a mostly predictable cycle), and I despise Legendary Cars.

It certainly could be worse, like locking cars behind a premium battle pass-type system that expires like The Crew 2 did until its most recent update, but the systems that FMnot8 and GT7 do have aren’t doing them any favors.

This game’s career mode is already lacking in races (both in terms of quantity and variety, particularly regarding race cars) as it is. There’s really no reason to not make these events permanent.

Having drivatar liveries in Free Play is nice, however 2 things:
  1. They take a while to load. Usually they are on the cars by the second corner of the race, rather than on the grid.
  2. Is it just me or has the "Car Livery Quality: Ultra" setting regressed? My own livery looks crisp and high res, but liveries from drivatars look far too low res all of a sudden. I am suspecting that Free Play drivatar liveries are bugged still, because drivatar liveries in Builders Cup pre-patch were looking pretty good (especially in the podium shot at the end of the race).
To reply to myself: Drivatar liveries in the Builders Cup are no different from before, they load immediately and look reasonable as long as you don't zoom completely (they are not as high res as the driver car sadly). But free play liveries are clearly worse.

Also in free play it doesn't load Drivatar levels correctly for the Drivatars from your friends list.

Definitely still bugged.

A film studio requested me to remove a GMC logo from a still from an 80s movie this week. It's not like it's even on a sleeve or some packaging. Madness.
Its became a paranoia among some people, they do dont allow without a expensive stupid fee or they dont put with afraid of demage parternships and lower the price of sponsorships

Its becoming too far and it seems that wont stop anytime soon

And imagine being one of the guys still trying to push quality liveries out and seeing your work get trounced in the download count by the usual deluge of Monster Energy / Red Bull liveries or... Well, a Mr. Bean paint scheme.

Don't get me wrong, I still love Forza - but the direction they've taken with the Sharefront since FM5 has not been great.

I could live with overdone racing themed liveries at least, but the stuff I see on classic cars. Oh my. I was worried about it before release and was wondering if they could come up with a simpler system for creators to use, like 'Fun' or 'Serious', and have that show up in the options menu for players to choose from.

What, the hentai 420 liveries aren't working for you? Yeah, me neither.
I could take one, but I usually get ONE realistic race themed car and then a whole field of nonsense.

But fair play to T10 for fixing the bug, maybe they are listening after all.

You guys must be new around here

Unless you remember FM2’s auction house and the hundreds of Bart and Homer Simpson weed cars. Then sprinkle in the general hentai here and there, just general comedy.

(a rant from 2007 😂)

@r_outsider

Oh… then FM3 and it’s never ending Monster Energy cars after Ken Block (RIP) blew up. Every car was a gymkhana car then.

Last night I completed all the Open Class events and got my paws on the Audi R8. I was finally able to play the game without having to restart it. Yay! The cat finally gets the cream.
However, to those who missed it, looks like the worst fears have come true. It hasn't been made available for purchase and as a rental car.

What's with Forza encouraging bad habits such as "come and go" mechanics, as well as even waiting games?

Spotlight cars require you to wait up to weeks in real time before they're available as well.

I'm sure it will turn up again.

You could always download my Mini Classic paint job and give it some love, search for Halfords.
