Forza

Wait. K20, are you the same person who got banned on that other name K20 something. Your's is exactly like it.

Hmmm....

Anyways, Unlike NFS:U2, the car mods make a difference. You should be able to tell the difference in the car with its mods on (exterior mods)

Here some impression from the demo.

The first thing that you notice in Forza is how easy the car can spin out of a curve. Maintening a good speed while in the Apex is a must. You have to be really carefull with the brakes and throttle or you are going to hit the wall/spin out of control really fast. Of course those observation were made with all the assist turn off. If you go play Forza with GT series in mind, you will fail. It's not that the physics is better or not but it feels very different. I always thought that GT series was more forgiving when you miss a turn. You can always slow down and loses some precious second but you never spinning out of control. The game would be a better experience with the Logitech wheel. Microsoft needs to come up with a good wheel solution.

The AI is pretty aggressive. Once I was hit in the rear by a corvette and spin out but the I was blocking the road. The AI car was waiting for me to clear the road and was in a total stoppage. I though it was a really nice touch. At least they know i'm on the track and won't go thru me to respect their driving line.

well...try turning with assists off in GT...

forza is very forgiving aswell. You can ride the rumble strip, I hear you can't do that in gt4. You can drive in the sand or grass and still pill out like nothing happened. I haven't had any problems with turning in the forza demo. I do brake properly but I use the same method of braking in forza as I do in prolouge. Maybe I'm doing some great braking or so because I use the same method in gtr 👍

If you have turn off ABS in the demo, it's impossible to do late braking. I tought the grass and sand was alot more forgiving on GT4. Maybe it's because i have played GT3 so much but Forza is whole different style.

Well cobra, i heard that in GT4, that if you turn a corner to hard, and your cars wheels come off the ground on one side, a magic "tip limit" comes in, stopping it from going any further. Hows that for realism ;).

"the best physics engine in a racing game...as long as you don't push it too hard"

From what I've played, the sand in grass in GT4 aint super real in how it slows the car, I don't wanna get stuck anyway, I wanna have fun.

Even if forza was ice racing, with the cars on rims, cobra would still say GT was more difficult...he seems to think that we are in some way slating GT4 :P

Like I said, I brake properly. got alittle track experience, well self made track experiences :sly:

In all my years playing Gran Turismo (since GT1),
I have found that my experience and techniques formed in GT have helped me in EVERY other game I have played that involves driving. This even includes games like Driver, GTA:VC/SA, NFS, TOCA, PGR/PGR2, Midnight Club/2, etc.
There is one exception -- the Warthog in Halo/Halo2 just doesn't make any sense,
but then again, you won't be apexing or late-braking...
Wouldn't it be cool if you could race the Warthog in Forza, maybe with a co-op gunner...

Maybe so but that forza demo isn't hard or as unforgiving as you make seem to be. It's quite easy when you know what you are doing. As a driving sim, forza doesn't bring it. I'd love to check out the gt4 demo so I'd have a better judgement but all I have is gt4 prolouge and honestly, forza isn't as realistic as prolouge in terms of car handling but I do agree that the grass in forza is unforgiving, more than gt4's. And I didn't play the one at gamestop, my friend has it and I have played it for a good while. Realistic physics, no doubt but it's not all that great. I hear it's the 40% build, I really hope it is.

For me the graphics might not be as nice but I couldnt care less, I find the physics to be great and in this game you cant any longer just hit the gas pedal and have stability :) Now I need a proper wheel for the Xbox and I have 2 awesome car games :)

I found it interesting to see how the car reacted if you at a stand still put on the handbreak and try to accelerate :) Forza is doing well and thats nice if a good wheel comes out and the net code is oright :)

Try to downshift in 1st gear at over 80 mph. The car will start spinning out of control like crazy. Very good physics indeed.

A good wheel would help tremendously. I love the Analog break and how you can't turn the steering too on the left or right without spinning the car. Very good physics.

Even driving a REAL car, would not be as realistic as Gran Turismo 4 according to you.

No Gran Turismo 4 is not as realistic as YOU make out !!

CobraGt is a hater. He probably play the demo at a Gamestop store. 3 laps with all the assist on with the Ferrari and then he claims he's an Forza physics expert. After playing GT4 Japanese demo, I thought GT4 physics was great but was alot more forgiving then Forza. Just the use of the analog break in Forza is an incredible feeling of control but it takes alot of time to master. But then again, CobraGT manage to master those technique within a 3 laps timeframe.
