Logging off PSN isn't enough, you need to disable the Internet on your PS3.

My laziness has set in and now I don't even log off of PSN anymore. Hopefully we won't have an update for awhile, but if we do the same thing will happen.

can you use any usb keyboard with a ps3 or does it have to be "specialized"?

All of my USB keyboards work with my PS3 and my PC so I doubt there will be any problems. Go ahead and give your keyboard(s) a test, that's the only way to find out. :)

So I read from the OP on here that supposedly you'll get 108k for just under 8 minutes of work if you go to the Extreme Series, Dream Car Championship, Indy (10 Laps). I'm there right now but it says that 1st place is 86,600 credits. Am I missing something here?

I believe the OP did this when there was a temporary boost in credits and rewards from a couple of updates ago but PD have taken this away now.

^ This.

If you want the most credits and 1000 tickets, do the "Like The Wind".

For the most experience go for "Dream Car Championship"

I'm using the FGT so Like The Wind is out of the question. I was in last place after the first turn. So looks like until I get the X2010, I'll be doing Dream Car Championship.

EDIT: Nevermind, it doesn't work with the FGT in Dream Car Championship either. Looks like only the X2010 can do it. Back to the B Spec grind I guess. Luckily I'm at Level 33 now.

I haven't tried the friends car sharing thing, but are you able to borrow a friends X2010 for A-Spec?

Don't quote me, but I think you can borrow any car. I'm not sure though. Plus PSN is down still so I couldn't borrow a car if I wanted to.

So they patched duping and they patched the prize money, but they didn't patch autogrinding? Wow, PD. Just wow.

Anyways, I can't try this because I don't have a USB Keyboard :'(. Oh well, I guess I have to stick to getting credits the LEGIT way...

Edit: Never Mind. I just found a good substitute for autogrinding. I just need to work on how to confirm choices over and over automatically...

I'm currently running this with two carbon-film resistors propping the analog sticks in the right places. I don't have a USB keyboard, but I can just hit the X button a few times every few minutes.

"Like the Wind" is a far better version of Indy to grind. Same track, half the race length, and only 10k less (70k) than the American Championship version.

In the X2010 it takes 3.5 minutes for each race. At 70k per race.

You can easily make 11 to 15 million over night.

I used to use the American Championship before I stumbled into the "Like the Wind" event and did some calculating.

Give it a go. You won't be disappointed.

...and how do you propose they fix autogrinding? It's nigh on impossible. To autogrind, all you're doing is propping the buttons/sticks in the right place, as if you were driving yourself. The only way they could stop you is to come to your house and wag their finger at you disappointingly, and then tackle you...

;)

Lol if they did i would make them do all my A Spec endurance races with no rest breaks :irked:

They could do it so that if you stick to the wall for X amount of the time, the race will automatically end.

But I don't think that this concerns PD that much, not as much as glitching atleast.

That would probably be a good idea. Might stop people from riding the walls at Madrid, Rome, and Grand Valley, as well.

I've been auto-grinding "Like the Wind" for a while now. Yeah the payouts are huge, but I've noticed something, either if you win or not is majorly based on what cars are in the field and what positions they're in. I'm talking about consistantly winning. I've had to reset the field for about an hour to get the results I wanted, but I can atest that it's worth about 13 million over night with about 3 million EXP.

Also I used the trick with a wheel instead of the controller. Just tape the gas pedal down, unplug FFB, and turn the wheel slightly to the right.

I've done Like the Wind 3-4 times and never had an issue. The hardest time was with the Minolta starting in P1, took me till the end of lap 1 to pull him in though and pass.. After about 18-20 Hrs later and the oil light was on, would get in 1st by end of lap 3.

I've been doing it with a DS3 and a shoe lace for 2 days on and off. I have to push the 'X' every 8 minutes or so. I did $4mil whilst playing 'My Little Pony Hide and Seek' with my daughter, cooking dinner and watching night time tv.

Well, I woke up this morning to find out my X2010 had been grinding into a wall for about 6 hours. The thing I noticed is any contact with cars is unwanted, the only contact you do want is with the car in 6th place so you can get around him.

Pretty much you want to overtake the whole field by the end of the second turn on the first lap to ensure victory.

Best Trick EVER!

+1 would (could +100 with all the time I am going to save!)

USB Keyboard only $17 at BestBuy and two thin rubber bands for each of the joy sticks looped left one around USB cord to give it slight tilt to the right and left one around the back of the controler and over the right grip.

Keyboard $17
2 Rubberbands $0.17

Saving my social life not grinding..... Priceless!

I keep spinning out every 6-10 races...any help or is this how it is.
Some people claim to get 2 mil. cr. or how ever x over night, but how can you achieve that without spinning out and noticing only in the morning?

Been using this technique for quite some time and i have not touched my vettel 2010 except for the odd oil change. My controller is set up with an elastic band and a pen kinife to assist with the steering (as the vid shows). I average 250Mph on the straights and usually complete 42 / 43 second laps. Totalling 3 minutes 40 -50 seconds per 5 laps. So approx every 4 minutes i earn $70,000 credits :tup:embarrassed:nly once i have returned to find my x2010 facing the wall :ouch:and 9 out of 10 times I am in the lead by the end of lap 1. I have managed to earn 60+ million since the network outage and have spent it also :)

If you find your are being overtaken / not getting into 1st position by lap 3 then just stop the race and restart it. the trick is to make sure you are not grinding the outer wall too much, as I mention above if you can adjust the steering so that on the starights you are reaching 250mph just at the bend then you have got it spot on.

I hope this helps as it does work and it has catapaulted me from lvl 37 to 40 within a couple of days grinding. And spending that money has really boosted my garage. over 800+ cars now and still growing.:)

Good luck.....
