Looking at the drivers discussion in the DTM Group, most people would prefer a weekend race series. How about:

Race 1 (EU) next Saturday, 12th Feb @ 9pm GMT / 10pm CET
Race 1 (NA) next Saturday, 12th Feb @ 10pm EST / 7pm PST
Room to open 30 mins before for practice and qualifying

Race 1 - Nurburgring GP/D 40 Laps

I will host EU race if no one else (with a faster internet connection) will do it. Need a race 1 NA host.

I just have to work on my setup for the A4. It handles really good, but my front tires are dead in less than 10 laps. :scared:

If you leave the room ownership open, there is no host kinda thing. Think the lobby should maybe be open for 40mins before race, to allow 30 mins practice, and then 10 mins qualifying (longer at nordschliefe for obvious reasons). Everyone between pratice and qualification should return to the lounge to reset the time board (think that works) if not, everyone will have to ease off at certain points of the circuit to prevent practice times mixing with qualification times. So say backing off at the last corner and waiting 5-10 seconds before resuming. Have we decided a BHP limit yet?
Once this week is up, i can run testing lobbies most nights for people wanting to sort out final setups and practice racing
 
No issues with the hosting then if i leave the ownership open. 👍
How do you host a non public room? So we dont get some random players, who are not in the series, joining.
Was thinking of just having 30 mins for qualifying. No need to reset times then. Although a 10 min mad scramble for positions would be quite good.
BHP - Was thinking about 493bhp. Dont think any DTM stock car has more than that and should keep mods down.
I'll be up for some setup/practice races. Just post the room numbers and i'll be there if i can.
 
I prefer 502 BHP because it’s the best value to equal all cars. If we don’t want any mods on the 2000+ cars then it should be one step lower than 493 BHP. 483 BHP? With 493 BHP you only exclude A4 and Astra (and TT, Calibra?) from the second stage turbo upgrade...
 
Im happy to up it to 500 bhp, just gotta cure even more oversteer now. I'd think we'd all have to be on the host's friends list. Just get people to confirm race attendance before the race, and set number of people to that ?

I am interested in runing this series, but am also runnin the ITCC wich runs Saturdays at 9PM ESTtrough about 10:30... Can you push it back to 10:30 or 11?

^ Yeah i closed the list for new drivers as we now have 30 people who have either shown interest on this forum or joined the group. I want to give those people a chance to confirm their intentions to join before any more is added. If you are still interested you can still join the group and i will add you to the reserve list. I will then add reserves into available places if people drop out.

We have:

19 confirmed by adding details to The Drivers page
12 EU / 6 NA / 1 Aus (dont know what series would suit best time wise for newbsta)

This would be better for me as well. Something around 8:30 Pacific is better for me on saturdays.
 
^ audi if you want to run with the NA series then that would be good. Feel free to change the times of the series to suit the majority.

^^ Sorry Knelly, i would have preferred weekday evenings too but most people wanted weekends. I think there will be plenty of midweek casual DTM races though, so keep checking back here or the group for details.

Im interested too. I have all the DTM's from grinding, they are my favorites. Im just finally learning to use the G27/Playseat without any aids. Unfortunately, I fully-tuned all of them and Im not sure if those are allowed in the rules or not.

If you can get one of them down to below 502BHP then there wont be a problem entering the series. 502 is prob going to be the limit that is set with is about turbo stage 2 on most of the cars.

You say you got all the DTM's from grinding. Which races did you do to get them? I only got one from the On Line Dealership when it was there. Can you get them from the normal dealerships aswell? I havn't really looked because im so happy with my Audi TT-R. 👍

I've checked it out and it seems that you can only get the DTM cars in the used car dealership. They must pop up randomly 'cuz I was only able to get 2 of them so far...

I've been playing since December, but only knew I was gonna join a DTM group a couple of weeks ago. So if those cars appeared for me before that, I couldn't tell you. Hopefully I haven't just ''missed my chance'' to get them...

If anyone knows of another way to get the DTM's, please inform the group on the steps to take.

We're only one week away from the 1st race. I'd very much like to be able to test more than the CLK and AUDI TT-R if in any way possible. Especially that my CLK is stuck at 512BHP...... Leaving me with the ONE choice for now... lol

Until last week you could buy them in the online dealership but unfortunately for now the only way is to wait until they show up in the UCD...
You can speed up that process by loading tracks. Each load will display 6 new cars. The easiest way to do that is go into the license test and load the first test. Move on to the fifth license test (b1 -> b5 for example) and then move back to the UCD. You can find more info in this thread to know when they show up.
 
I will volunteer to be the NA host for race #1 on saturday.

Im thinking of a start time of 8:30-9:00 p.m. Pacific as there are only 4 of us from the USA currently running.

Lets hear from the other US drivers, I will be sending pms to all US drivers announcing their intentions and race time.

There are now 6 North American entries and newbsta (Australia) who might be in the NA series.
(NA race 1 starts at 4pm Sunday in Melbourne
EU race 1 starts at 8am Sunday in Melbourne)
Its up to newbsta though.

I might be able to drag a friend into the NA series. 6 people is not really a race, plus there will always be absense from my experience of online racing league.

I too have recruted a couple of racers for the USA race on saturday, one of them isnt a GTP member but I will still include him in the series. He said he will commit to the whole series.
 
I will be hosting a lounge on Saturday night for the first NA DTM race.
I have sent PM's to the NA participants with details of how to join and what to expect.
