Yeah, triangular taillights. Totally a Lamborghini trademark...
Who give's a F%$&, it looks fantastic.
I surely believe this is the most stylish Viper ever. As an analogy, this new Viper is more like some hard-ass rock star in an Armani suit with a classy haircut. Still a hard ass despite looking so elegant. I wouldn't be surprised to see a roadster or convertible version of the Viper. Though really, I've never been fond of roadster or convertible Vipers to be honest, let alone most roadsters or convertibles to be honest.
We've reached the point in automotive design on which it's impossible to make something look a 100% original without going way too radical with the styling
I will say it again. This car must be seen in person.
I still fail to see any 'Italian' design traits. Looks more like an evolution of the last gen Viper to me.
If the Italians had that much influence in the design you think they would have allowed it to have an 8.4L OHV engine?
If you are comparing power ouputs of an n/a engine to a supercharged (of the positive displacement variety at least) engine, you really should add in the capacity of the supercharger as well. For the ZR-1 it's 2.3 liters. 2.3 + 6.2 = 8.5 liters, or more cubic capacity than the Dodge V10.
Also, when did 638hp become more than 640hp?
Also, where the hell is Ford? The answer is NOT the GT500!
I think the reason why it's red cause the first concept was red ,1st gen. main color was red and the engine was always red. Seeing that this gen. was designed after the 1st why not make it red.
AB: The new design is pure Viper, but it seems to have some influence from those Italian super cars. What's the percentage of the Viper that's American, percentage that's Italian?
Gilles: Maybe five percent Italian. The seats, the seats are the same supplier as Ferrari. It's all American. Done inside, done outside, it's all all American.
Didn't see this posted but it answers the Viper's American/Italian percentage:

Mainly this part:
What you see isn't, or I should say, shouldn't be reliant upon what someone else says/claims, it should only be reliant upon what you see. When I look at the front of the Viper there's an ever apparent homage to the Ferrari California, from the headlights to the air intake, to the curvature from one headlight to the otherFerrari California.
That's actually the 599 GTO, but still, the Cali has more upright and stretched headlamps than the new Viper:
There is way more Viper than Ferrari there, I don't know what you guys are seeing...
