If its a fast a car, then it's performance itself should speak for the car. Not some little trinkets here and there.

The car is still a sweet ride. But to me, the Viper was unpretentious in its design history. Except for ACR, but that car was more of an acid trip for the folks at Dodge.

Sorry if you feel my post is pointless and somewhat dumb, was just sharing my opinion.

No, it's just I read the same comments all the time for any car that's ever released these days. "Looks like a Lexus," "Looks like an Alfa," &c.

I like the little track easter eggs.

The whole homage thing is coming off a bit dorky.
Doesn't seem any worse than Ford naming an Boss 302 model, "Laguna Seca" or Chevrolet putting a "Jake" logo on the intake or as of this year, "100th Anniversary" on the B-Pillar, wheels, steering wheel, & god knows where else on Centennial Edition-packaged Corvettes. Just seems to be how American companies are.

So I'm not the only one that keeps seeing this.

I think I know why the front of this new Viper looks so bland. It's missing the big-ass cross in the grille shell opening. Of course, it's there, but it's black. In all the previous generation Vipers the cross was body color and sliced the big gapping mouth in 4 pieces, and was absolutely the most iconic indication of a Viper. This one has lost it because it's surrounds are black.

So I made this...

and while it looks more "Viper-esque"... I don't know. It still looks horrible to me. I just cannot stand the front end of the damned car.
And that's what also makes it a Dodge. And I don't know man, that nose is growing on me.

I just don't know how someone can look at the new Viper and call it ugly or horrid or whatever. Thing is pure sex, and even if it doesn't look like a "true viper", it's far from ugly.

Looks like a caramel treat! Yummy.

Just kidding. Have to say, I like the interior of the 2003+ model better. Materials and quality are probably ****e (dunno, never sat it one, but it was pre-Fiat Chrysler) but the design fit the car. This...not sure.

This has been the case for many many years.

I saw on another board that someone thought this looked like an S2000. :dunce:

The Viper's interior being totally barren and cheap compared to its competitors and others in its price range. It's like the Corvette's seats, except Chrysler actually fixed the Viper's interior this time. It needed to move upmarket very badly.

I said it before, the car just looks so good, and nice and vulgar and aggressive. Just as a Viper needs to be. The only thing that needs to come back is Sneaky Pete.

I will never understand why it was painted red.

Is that official of just a shoop? Either way that's incredible.

As for the blue thing, as many people have said the original Viper RT/10 was red and that's its heritage colour like Bugatti blue. Just because the GTS is for some reason best remembered doesn't mean it has to be launched in blue with white stripes.

I like the new snake badge more that the others, this one actually looks like it wants to kill you more!

I saw the Viper video about the exterior design. The signal light LED lighting looks very interesting. I don't really think of the Viper's lights to be as beautiful as the Audi R8 or the Audi A4/S4. However, it looks very nice. The video I'm talking about is below:

Wow. That is very pretty yet mean looking. Something you don't want to mess with. :) --- Randy
