It flashed up for every sector in GT4 B-Spec, and as far as I'm aware it still does in A-Spec...

Yes, you're right. But the gap displayed in the timing screen is only for the last lap. Perhaps they only display the end-of-lap gap in the "onboard" mode so that there's not "more information" in that screen. A bit silly, but PD are known for their strange decisions in the name of "consistency".

- High down-force setting forcing the wheels to go through the track surface causing violent shaking when using the formula one cars.

- Fastest lap replays finishing before the car crosses the finish line.

The '98 original shape Mini is not classed as British in the game. I tried t bust in to the British Lightweights with it and couldn't because I failed the Country: British regulation.

It's most likely included with a license from BMW, which owns Mini.
So it was listed as German.

When online and using a set of wheels but then change to something else it reverts to the tires you used when you entered the race instead of the ones you set last.

The Cizeta car info talks about how the engine was made of two Lamborghini units (from the Uracco P300) sandwiched together. Which is... not true. And kinda silly to even say, depending on how much you know about the car's development.

Can't win the last Jeff -mofo- Gordon race because of a bug using a G25 steering wheel, you need to press your X button because the gas peddal can't go full gas (only 99% and you know what that means on that crappy impala)

Here is an interesting one...ever since the ability to copy our save file I have been trying out paints on different cars to see what colors I want them to be and then reloading my save if I don't like the color, so as to not waste my paint chips.

So last night I painted my acr srt10 matte light green to play online for a little bit, then I reloaded my file, went to my garage and in the little picture my viper is still matte light green...however, if you click on it to view in full size it is still black with a stripe. In the tuning screen it is matte light green and in races it is black. It's quite amusing :)

The Ferrari F2007 has a cut/glitched rim that only shows up in Racing/photomode for some odd reason, not when viewing the car in the garage.

Yup, it's listed as German! Silly PD.

Yes but nearly any make of car is made under another flag nowadays. Jaguar isn't British anymore either, Mitsubishi was taken over by Mercedes so that would make it German, Nissan is a part of Renault so it should be French.

It just doesn't really make sense ^^

It's because thumbnails are stored in game data, not save data. I accidentally deleted my save data a while back (:dunce:) and all of my thumbnails were gone

EDIT: Saw this a few minutes ago:
Cloud2go_Dec_24_2010_11_31_PM.jpg

There appears to be a slight variation between the preview of the color (little box next to the color's name) and the actual color that appears on the car

I don't mean to alarm you, but your Miura may be possessed

that scene both horrified and amazed me lol

yeah i've crashed my gtr and the body seems morph back too, although i still can see a few marks and scratches but the dent morphs back lol

I'm doing the second endurance race in B spec. My driver pulls into the pits, and there's no pit crew. Everything gets done though. Funniest thing - as he was just leaving his pit area, another car came down the pit lane and was in front of him. Then - presto! - the other car just vanished!

When you do licenses, I assume you are supposed to be blocked from using skid recovery force because the option can't be changed. However, if you change this setting on a normal race, and then go back into the licenses, skid recovery is on and can't be turned off.

But settings are saved for each car.

It makes sense.... the Cizeta has a 6 liter V16 made of two V8s. I can think of no other 3 liter V8 which could fit the part.

Cizeta-V16T-2.jpg

An image says thousand words.
V16T is meant to imply a V16 engine, Transversely mounted. In fairness, however, it is not. In fact, in the interests of accuracy, it is two 90° V8 engines, mounted back-to-back and driving a central gearbox. Read that again. A central gearbox, with a V8 on either side of it, all in a common block. So it’s not two separate V8s, it is one engine, comprised of two V8s.

There is a fault regarding the Ford Fusion Nascar, maybe all Nascar, it gives you free automatic oil changes everytime it needs one, meaning you can never get to 850bhp to enter the seasonal challenge. I had to spend 500k on a new nascar with 824bhp in order to do the race.
The power does go down to 850bhp after 9 hour endurance race, but by the time i exit and get around to doing the seasonal event with it, it goes back upto 862bhp without me doing anything. I have repeated this cycle twice, always goes down to 850bhp in desperate need of oil change, but then i never change it but power goes back up and when i check GT auto it says an oil change is not needed.
Good for people wanting to use this car for their B-spec and A-spec endurance though.
But i don't like Nascars so it's just annoying for me.

This must be a bug but i'm really disappointed with the mclaren f1. 2 reasons. 1) It can only do a max speed of 219 stock and 2) in 5th! If you go into 6th gear it slows you down, I was in 5th at 218mph so I slipped into 6th gear only to find my speed dropped to 216mph.

In real life it can do 240mph and it goes fastest in 6th gear not 5th. Wierd. 6th gear acts as a brake almost!

I have read a ton of pages in this thread and was looking for the "Birthday Glitch". I didn't come across it.

EDIT: nevermind, youtube is god.

Ferrari made a few for several decades. For starters, the Lamborghini V8 was a cross-plane engine, and the Cizeta was a flat-plane engine (as were the Ferrari V8s). Now, even if it wasn't encased in one block making it all irrelevant (which it is), how much sense does it make for Lamborghini to sell engines or tooling to a company which will eventually go into a car which is both styled basically the same as and competing directly with the car you just launched?
