General San Andreas Discussion and Questions

Also, is there any health or armour inside Area 69, I think I've found a good spot for killing. I just need to be able to regain health and armour every so often.

Not sure if there's any way to regain health in there though.

How else can you get it apart from all gold in pilot license?

When you unlock the races (specifically the air checkpoints available at the LV airport)--one of them is called Heli Hell--done in the hunter-- instead of completing the checkpoint--fly it to your hangar at Verdant Meadows and part it inside-- get out and exit-- you will fail the mission but the Hunter will still be there--- I read about this one and haven't verified it works but it does work with cars that they give you in street races (put in your garage).

Also, at some point the hunter will be available at the navy base in SF on the heli pad just inside the fence (its not always there so you will likely fly away and come back to make it spawn--and once again, I don't know when it becomes available)--- you will need a heli to fly in there-- the sailors won't spawn until you land and get out of your heli so land close to the hunter--get out, and get in the hunter--- it will take some damage as you take off but I've never had it shot down doing this.

Once again, fly it to your verdant meadows airfield to save it there--

Also, any damage to vehicles will be healed if you park it in a garage or hangar and let the doors close and then go back in there.

I've never seen the hunter at the secret base but I've never really looked for it.

Thanks, but I was hoping there was health/armor inside the compound where the vehicles are, but there doesn't seem to be any. I found a map which showed a half dozen armour icons and 2 health icons but none of them where I need them.

If you stand by the turret beside the 2 Hydras inside Area 69, you've got a good place to kill from. You can see police choppers coming from a distance so blow them out of the sky before they get too near to you. Cops/army or their vehicles won't spawn inside that vehicle compound and can't get in because of the fence so you can aim rockets and grenades over the fence and blow em to hell.

The only thing is that I can't get any bad guys to spawn outside the compound, just vehicles. It might take a bit of arsing around to find the best spot. Maybe inside the main Area 69 compound up one of the towers might be a good spot. If there's health and armour near it then you could last a while blowing up choppers , vehicles outside the area and and spawning cops if you get the right spot.

Escaping might be a bit awkward though. In the vehicle area, you can just take a Rhino and get back to Verdant Meadows to save when you're done.

Is there any way back into Jizzy's after you pass his missions? The door isn't open and you can't get back in through the roof.

If it isn't available, then why the hell did Rockstar remove the inside areas of both Area 69 and Jizzy's? There was no reason not to leave them open after their missions were finished. Bah humbug.

It does seem abit unfair to close both Jizzy's and area 69. Don't see why they need to.

If you need any planes just get them from the races at LV airport and park them in the hangar at the desert airstrip. That's how I got a hydra before completing the flying school.

Yeah I've seen maps like that too. They're showing where health & armour showed up in a specific mission, but that doesn't help you any...

This was discussed not too long ago but I couldn't find the message to respond to so here is my response anyway (I think Integra mentioned something about it)

I discovered a way today to look forward in the Rhino with the turret reversed so you can fire it to boost your speed--- set your view to one of the behind ones---then reverse the turret, now with it reversed, switch to either first person or the cinematic view-- the turret will stay reversed :) I haven't got a chance to try it on any decent jumps yet.

sorry guys, i know this isnt what you lot are discussing right now, but i have to know, and this is the place to ask.
how do i get rid of that red area around jizzys, and how come the vaggos have 1 territory and i havent any left to get. my percentage says 99.25%, but i dont see a territory anywhere, is there a famous one that is really small? i seem to remember reading something about it once, but i cant see one anywhere....
its driving me mad.
i have the territory that was only as wide as the pavement, in LS, and the only strange thing i see on my map is a red area at jizzys....
help?
ive read the glitch thread that explains all about flying SW for 20 mins etc, but i dont have a clue how to help myself with gaining all territories.
bet you people can help tho, right?

Have you got the territory right at the top left of the map?

Thats the only thing i can think of :indiff:

As to the red i havent a clue what that is, sorry :guilty:

The vagos have an area around the boat school on the third island (north and east of Gant bridge)-- its not small but it might be pretty light--- most people that have that area to take over (not everyone) only get one wave of vagos..

I had one ballas territory in Paradiso in SF and one vagos territory near the boat school-- they are grove street territories now.

i think u never saw a territory anywhere else cos you havent got to the latter stages of the game famine.
i mean, i dont mean to be rude, but there are obviously areas to cover elsewhere in the state.
my problem is the red area at jizzys....
i dont know who to kill to get it under my control.
apparently its owned by triads?
i just want to get 100% of territories, and then i can rest.

i have all of los santos, the three or four in san fierro, and the one area that covers the boat school in venturras.
the latter areas were very easy to obtain, with only one wave of guys in each.
but i still have 1 vagos gang left according to my stats, and this red area on my map
aaarrrrrrrrghgggh!
help me.
its no wonder i look how i do.

I have a Grove Street territory by the boat school, but I never took it over. It just went from yellow to green at one stage. I have still a few Ballas territories to take over, but even though they're touching a territory of mine over by Santa Maria beach, they never attack me. I'll get them eventually.

Keep thinking.

I examined the map with a fine toothcomb today. There was only a small, pale green patch around the boat school - which is a little odd, as I flew in there once to do the boat school and flew out again. I shot precisely no-one.

THere's certainly nothing at Jizzy's. Might I suggest a glitch?

Not everyone gets these--

I only had one area in SF and I know of people that didn't have any....apparently you had 4 in SF.

I believe famine is done with the game or close to it--- He is probably by far the most experienced GTAer here--- I believe he completed VC 100% at least 10 times and managed to get 100% in under 12 hours--my point is that he is far from ignorant.

As far as your red area--- never heard of that one-- you might want to ask around gtaforums.com as that site gets alot more traffic then this one-- maybe someone else has it.

If there is no one to attack guess you are stuck with it....go to your map and turn off gang areas if you don't want to look at it.

I would like to see a screenshot of this if you have the ability to take one.

11 hours 55 mins to be precise.

At the moment I'm ignoring the gang land territories and sweet missions and just doing the Import Export. Making me a whole load of cash! (I refuse to gamble :sly: )

yesterday i was going to do the thing where you fly/boat out to the edge of the map and make a bunch of gangs spawn everywhere.. before i started my venture, i checked my stats and only had98.xx% of the territories under my control ( i had gotten 100%) upon some examination of the map i found a red area by the lighthouse in los santos.. there is still another one somewhere, but i can't find it... anyone else have anything like this happen?

There is a tiny Ballas turf in Temple, Los Santos. It's only a few pixels high so it's extremely easy to miss. It's close to the Burger Shot in that area.

Is that why Paradiso in SF shows up with pink text when you drive though it, cause it's Ballas or is it contolled by some other gang, cause I didn't need it to get 100% territories.

BTW is there a reason why the area text in the bottom right corner shows up in gang. With 100% under my controll they show up in Paradiso (Pink), Idlewood and Little Mexico (Green).

Whats also interesting is that I have sighted Ballas in that part of Idlewood and Cesars gang in Little Mexico where the green area text shows up. Might just be a coincidence.

i know which one you're taking about, i remember seeing it the first time around and wondering if it was actually a territory... but its green

... I haven't played this game in ages. Not since before thanksgiving... Gaming doesn't seem to interest me as much anymore, now that I have a computer in my room. Oh, well...

Neither, I haven't played SA for a fair while. I dunno, but I'm 'over' the game a bit. I just can't be bothered playing SA anymore.
