I thought it said 35,000,000 credits! It amazed me how much I won in my first race with my imported version of gt5p! If I remember correctly the F1 car cost about 30 million!

Never thought I'd be quoting Weiner.

Okay, so the realization that the Standard cars are upresed GT4 cars was a "what the hell??" moment. While it will be a little strange at first, it doesn't really matter to me. As I said, I'm still racing GT4 because of all those cars and tracks. The physics now feel weird though, after experiencing the Time Trial physics. And even Prologue seems primitive in comparison.

Oh come on! You trying to say all the new features, like damage, day and night cycle, head tracking, new online features, etc...was a waste?

You're comparing SIDE SHOTS of the GT4 car, with a FRONT/TOP shot in GT5. Screwy comparison from different angles means NOTHING.

Why don't we all complain some more, so that PD can take an extra 20 years modeling all 800 of the GT4 cars into GT5 quality. These GT4 cars I highly doubt were just transferred over without any touch-ups. Who knows, they could be completely re-worked. Until the final game comes out, IN 5 MONTHS (which is plenty of time to do some extra touch-ups) we won't know for sure.

Just drop it.

Agreed, the people who complain would just read the official site about the standard model it say's, "Many of the cars included in past Gran Turismo titles have been beautifully recreated and brought to life on Playstation 3 as "Standard cars". I doubt there just high-rez gt4 models.

I mean how he can spend 6 years and do only 200 premium cars where turn 10 did in 2 years about 400 !! ? ? ? ? Also they have created about 1 mln poly cars for photomode so as new Xbox will come they will just put those 1mln poly cars straight into Forza5..
they won't need to recreate again cars...

PD need to increase human resources. 130 people at PD =! 400 people @ Turn 10.

If he hasn't reveled robust online mode i would say now that F3 is better overall in therms of Content and gameplay (minus AWD and permament Aid).

Treat GT5 like GT3. In 2-3 years we will get GT6 with 500-700 premium cars.


Also in that case 20 Tracks is more valid now people. I always thought if they menaged to do all 1000 cars like lancer evo X then all tracks from GT4 are no problem.

Thats funny, cause nobody knew that a cockpit view would even be included until GT5.prologue.. which came out in 2008. That leads me to bilieve that even if prologue were not to have came out, and they released gt5 without a cockpit view all together (You still probably would have bought it) it wouldnt have mattered.

I dont understand, Don't we all Love GT4?
So if we do, why can an extremely expanded version, With day/night changes, 1000 cars, New manufacturers, ONLINE, Full HD graphics, Updated Physics, Damage, and possible customization be so unaccepted?

I will admit, I absolutely love the cockpit view (In pretty much any game), and I am very disappointed that there is a possibility that many of these cars won't have it. But, I loved GT4, And I want an updated version just like many of us do. I want online, I want HD graphics, I want updated physics, I want Damage, I want 1000 cars, And I also want the possibility of customization. I am getting all of those, Im just missing a cockpit view... Do I kill myself over it? No. How do you think I played Gran turismo 1, 3, and 4? I used a different camera. So I know it won't kill me with the absence of a cockpit view for 80 percent of the cars.

I have just seen many gameplay videos of the GTPSP "Black dashboard" Cockpit view, And I must say, I wouldn't mind the standard cars having this at all. Infact, It would be much better than all the other cams, especially in Full HD (Taking I may not be able to have the real cockpit for standard cars)

The camera still outlines a Wheel, It displays all 3 windows I should be able to see, And who knows, Maybe they will update some more details so it doesn't seem so abstract.

I Will get it, Even if the premiums dont have cockpit view, Just for the Mere reason of having an updated GT4, On a ps3, With Online capability, 1000 cars, Full HD, And the chance to customize the body parts.
