Seems all the videos are in STANDARD Physics.. means very light damage. I bet in PRO Physics, it might be the same visual damage but with one hit or tow, also internal damage.

You know, there really isn't much proof of different Physics in GT5. Yes GT5P had it, but we have yet to see a option for it. I don't believe it would be an unlockable, that's just plain silly. I'm starting to think PD wanted a middle ground between Standard and Pro physics. I'm hoping this isn't the case, but you never know with PD.

Maybe I'm missing something, but the Eifel circuit from the course maker video isn't listed as an environment in the official track list. Maybe there are more environments we don't know about?

"Eifel" is the region of Germany where the Nurburgring is located.

I'd like to see "Belgian High Fens" confirmed as a course maker theme.

As many times as I played GT4, I never read that Nurburgring is located in Eifel. I'll have to remember that.

So if he can't find the damage setting in the options menus, where would it be?

There is none, it's probably tied to the difficulty level or standard/pro physics, anyway given the low costumization choices in the game, it's no wonder, the only feature that is very though through is the effin' photo mode, gran touristo 5 the real photo simulator. The worst is their damn photo fixation make the whole modeling aspect of the game development take 10 times longer than it would with laser scanning, 6 months for a car, 2 years for a track, literally ten times.

Great, the most important feature for me.

I lol'd. Japanese accent too.

But photo mode is just transferred from GT4, just like the standard cars.

Wait, so there's still nothing on the bottom of standard cars when they roll?
I suppose I should be happy that they roll at all, but a few nice generic bottoms would really help that glaring hole in the polish.

It is probably a pretty quick thing to patch, maybe a launch day upgrade? I've bought quite a few games that have had patches on launch day.

http://us.gran-turismo.com/us/news/d5247p4.htmlDamage in Gran Turismo 5 shows up in three different levels, with specific differences in damage between Premium cars and Standard cars.

Performance Damage
Performance damage affects how the car performs based on calculating the physical effects of collisions and damage on various parameters. It affects vehicle stability and control, depending on the amount of damage taken. This level of damage affects both premium and standard cars.

Dirt, Scratches, and Dents
This is damage that can be visually seen, and involves the vehicle collecting dirt, scratches and dents. This level of damage affects both premium and standard cars.

Dislodging and Deformation of Body Panels
This third level of damage causes body panels to come loose or to deform from their original shapes. This level of damage affects premium cars only.

There's your photomode

I never used it in GT1-2-3-4, I don't know when it made its debut, but even if it's straight from GT4, there is a lot of depth to it, it's thoughful. And it has nothing to do with the actual racing experience.

The menu video posted by Tekken909090 has been taken off, but the only HUD element you can customize is whether the map is relative to your car or the north, its scale and turning it off, beside that you are stuck with a full hud, a big 🤬 timer halfway across the screen and a gear that flashes red when you need to brake, all of this in bumper, roof, chase and cockpit cam.

I don't know about you, but I think this is a standard in racing games, not a feature, unlike photo mode, 3D, weather, damage, night and day cycle, high and low beams, horn, car wash, oil change. It's even more important than the friggin' intro movie.

Quoted the first post.

Is the 'random dealership' thing proven?

It was disproven, actually. I don't even know where the "random dealership in GT5" got started. I think people assumed that since the portable version had it, the console version had to have it, too...which is silly.

Just saw the SSR7 night/rain posted by tekken.

What can I say, wow!!!! That is gonna be amazing in full 1080p with DD sound!

Thanks a lot tekken for sharing content, please continue, highly appreciated. :)

Just saw the Nascar video, and the speed of the nascar when its like 2seconds behind the pack hits almost 360km/h, i hope this slipstream effect is gone while playing in professional mode or can be turned off, because then it will just be like prologue.

no, it's just what people assumed because the dealerships are for premium cars only and the tuning companies are listed on a second alphabetical order list after the independent model-producing marques. the premuim dealerships do not appear to be randomised.

Sounds like GT4 cars with GT5 physics, don't you think?

I'm not really sure how they could change it much... give you a gun instead of a camera? There's also an option to photograph while the AI races if I read the info correctly... was that in GT4?

Pre-order canceled. You convinced me.

What happened with PRO PHYSIC and DAMAGE???!!! I'm afraid about this game now..is going causal not hardcore players :/ Did anybody now the answer, because in previous build of GT5, we have better damage na pro physic than this videos of full game.

Wait for the game to come out, try it and then complain.
