i remember that chris ho sin miranda guy saying when you get the game youll be presented wih a whole bunch of stuff... then things will be unlocked.

It doesn't matter to me if GT5 is better then Forza 3, as far as i'm concerned they can't even be compared since they are on two completely different consoles. I can just play both and I will do so for sure. Forza 3 might end up being the sim I still play the most, but I am okay with that.

I hope that's not my case because I played FM3 for less than a month, and I think I spend more time with photo mode and livery editor than real driving.
I hope GT5 can keep me entertained for a longer period.

Yes but not core features like physics and damage. Tekken posted earlier in the thread that Arcade Mode has 80 cars unlocked from the start.

Who knows. If GT5 turns out disappointing to a lot of people, is it really that big of a deal? Those who claim they waited 5 years for this (myself included) have only themselves to blame when they end up massively disappointed. Video games are very expensive to make now and very time consuming for the developers. We are getting to the point now where games like Gran Turismo are just simply impossible to develop and do correctly the first time around on next generation hardware.

GT5 really should have been down scaled a lot. There was way to much promised and it is becoming more clear that a lot of it was never delivered and cut. It sucks, but is not at all surprising for anyone who follows game development trends. A sim like GT is way to difficult to develop in this day and age.

I think the Turn-10 guys have the right idea in that they out source a lot of work and keep things simple, only adding one or two major features for each game. GT5 tried to add a lot of major features and look at what happened.

What happened??

People are judging based on low quality videos of arcade gameplay ... and we don't even know which settings are being used... we are completely blind here!

Pretty dumb if you have to unlock the simulator physics we want to practise with the same physics as in the GT Mode.Strange indeed.@TEKKEN What options are there when choosing your driver Avatar.

GT5P was great so obviously GT5 will be even better. There is just lots of confusion regarding videos nothing else

Are you surprised? They have been judging GT5 with a long time before playing the game. Those low quality videos arent good enough quality to judge the game by. I do enjoy watching them though.

Read the thread.

Low quality videos don't just magically not show things like damage and turn off professional physics.

Tekken could you tell us about the physics?because we didn't see pro/standard selection but a lot of driving aids that could be' disabled...so...the physics are professional without aids???thank you in advance...:-)
Who knows now! :D
A lot of people (me included) would love to see a standard car in action... and a nurburgring nordschleife weather or night video ;)
I think I must open weather and night in Nurburgring challenges (driver lvl 18+)
I just found this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifbv3DqGkho it's of the course maker ,and shows some more options than I've not seen before.

So, just try links in my signature ;)

Yes, I know there will always be people acting like that, specially in this forum.

I definately love the menus in GT5. Theyre a thousand times better than Forza 3. I dont like the all white in Forza's menu system.

I kind of agree with you. I really liked the layout and the way the menu system looked, but making so much of it white, really bugged my eyes. Gran Turismo 5's black and dark colors are a lot easier on me.

I own both Forza 2 and 3 and I can't even think of any major differences between the two... it always seemed to me like 3 was rushed out quickly to rake in some more cash. They're kinda the same thing... both realistic but basically soulless products from a team that's more obsessed with physics simulation than they are about actual cars.

All the videos are from arcade mode

Read the thread. Gran Turismo has always made it where the physics are exactly the same in Arcade as in Simulation mode. What you see for damage and physics are exactly how they will be in simulation mode.

How is that any different from Gran Turismo though? Polyphony has put a lot of hype into the physics for GT5 and continue to call it the "Real Driving Simulator". In fact more so then Turn-10 has. Kaz has always considered his game the most realistic driving simulator around. He has been saying that since GT1. As much as I think Gran Turismo 5 is going to be amazing, Forza 3 still has a better car selection. They did a great job choosing their 500 cars very wisely. GT5 gets over 100 Nissans.

because you said so :ouch::ouch:

Do you think tekken videos have the same physics settings as this video???

@Tekken and other people that have the game ... This is the most important stuff ! Please check it out !

What we ALL want to actually see is there SIENNA TRACK inside of KART CHALLENGE ???
Also, is there El Capitain, Midfield, Seattle or Apricot track inside of GTLife mode ???

You will need to check the races to see which tracks are iside.. Please tell us if you find some of those tracks, actually be free to PM me or some mod so that we can announce it to everyone !

Thanks !

P.S. If someone could open special thread with this request, it would be great ! I think everyone wanna find out the truth !

All the videos are from arcade mode. But still there is lot of confusion

Let me get this right.

Arcade mode is where I can set up a race with cars I choose and tracks I want.

I can't have damage in this mode though.

What mode do I need to have the cars, track I want but also damage.
Anyone know?
