It doesn't matter to me if GT5 is better then Forza 3, as far as i'm concerned they can't even be compared since they are on two completely different consoles. I can just play both and I will do so for sure. Forza 3 might end up being the sim I still play the most, but I am okay with that.
i remember that chris ho sin miranda guy saying when you get the game youll be presented wih a whole bunch of stuff... then things will be unlocked.
I hope that's not my case because I played FM3 for less than a month, and I think I spend more time with photo mode and livery editor than real driving.
I hope GT5 can keep me entertained for a longer period.
Excuse my ignorance but GT has always made you unlock sim settings.
Don't worry I'll get over it pronto.
I think the Turn-10 guys have the right idea in that they out source a lot of work and keep things simple, only adding one or two major features for each game. GT5 tried to add a lot of major features and look at what happened.
Who knows. If GT5 turns out disappointing to a lot of people, is it really that big of a deal? Those who claim they waited 5 years for this (myself included) have only themselves to blame when they end up massively disappointed. Video games are very expensive to make now and very time consuming for the developers. We are getting to the point now where games like Gran Turismo are just simply impossible to develop and do correctly the first time around on next generation hardware.
GT5 really should have been down scaled a lot. There was way to much promised and it is becoming more clear that a lot of it was never delivered and cut. It sucks, but is not at all surprising for anyone who follows game development trends. A sim like GT is way to difficult to develop in this day and age.

Are you surprised? They have been judging GT5 with a long time before playing the game. Those low quality videos arent good enough quality to judge the game by. I do enjoy watching them though.People are judging based on low quality videos of arcade gameplay ... and we don't even know which settings are being used... we are completely blind here!
What happened??

GT5P was great so obviously GT5 will be even better. There is just lots of confusion regarding videos nothing else
Read the thread.
Who knows now!Tekken could you tell us about the physics?because we didn't see pro/standard selection but a lot of driving aids that could be' disabled...so...the physics are professional without aids???thank you in advance...:-)
I think I must open weather and night in Nurburgring challenges (driver lvl 18+)A lot of people (me included) would love to see a standard car in action... and a nurburgring nordschleife weather or night video
I just found this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifbv3DqGkho it's of the course maker ,and shows some more options than I've not seen before.

Really? Since when? Ive played every GT since GT1 game and I have never had to unlock sim settings.
I definately love the menus in GT5. Theyre a thousand times better than Forza 3. I dont like the all white in Forza's menu system.

Read the thread.
Low quality videos don't just magically not show things like damage and turn off professional physics.

Go back and read properly. I was responding to a member who said that.

All the videos are from arcade mode
I own both Forza 2 and 3 and I can't even think of any major differences between the two... it always seemed to me like 3 was rushed out quickly to rake in some more cash. They're kinda the same thing... both realistic but basically soulless products from a team that's more obsessed with physics simulation than they are about actual cars.
Who knows now!
Re-quoted for emphasis.@TEKKEN What options are there when choosing your driver Avatar.
Read the thread. Gran Turismo has always made it where the physics are exactly the same in Arcade as in Simulation mode. What you see for damage and physics are exactly how they will be in simulation mode.
All the videos are from arcade mode. But still there is lot of confusion
